Henry Cavill, Man of Steel is by far the best Superman movie, brought humanity to the role not just some untouchable persona.

That doesn't look like Navy... Did he walk into the wrong enlistment office?

I wouldn’t mind being assigned to his unit

Don't ask. Don't tell.
SemperMikado
The scripts he's had to work with as Superman haven't been great, but he's easily the most Superman-looking actor to ever play the role.
EarthDragon2189
He could be a great Superman if he just got put in the hands of writers and directors who actually understood how to use him.
12rt2345g342563
I think Christopher Reeve is on par.
cptcr
he can't act. Haven't seen him in a single role that he was good in.
StopShootingMe
Give the Man from Uncle a chance, he is charming as hell in that movie. The closest we'll get to an Archer film.
AntiCircleJerker
I don't think any "one" is the most "Superman-looking." You could make arguments for Reeve, Routh, Cavill, Cain, even George Reeves.
myteenyverse
Honestly when Routh came out… I was impressed
smadge1
Who knew Krypton was located somewhere in West Virginia?
Horus175
You know your franchise is in trouble when this friggin show has a better Superman than your 9 figure Hollywood blockbuster.
Shovi
Really? I watched the trailer and thought it was crap. (the show i mean)
JStengah
Show's great, season 2 was pretty weak (due to moving from ABC to CW) but got better towards the end. In it Supes is already established
and occasionally shows up to help his cousin.
aelfer
It´s unbearable.
UsingOurMadeUpNames
The show is still pretty bad IMO, but the general consensus is that in the episodes that had Superman, he was portrayed pretty well
Aha.
V1K1NGFVNERAL
I still like this Superman, and I still really liked Man of Steel.

Favorite movie ever.
notinitforthepoints
An excellent movie. By far my most favorite.
Man of Steel was fucking awesome. That fight scene with Zod and the two Kryptonians was the best superhero fight scene in the last 20 years.
Plus when you see a flash of Christopher Reeve in that plasma. Damn! That movie was awesome. Disney/Marvel's bought reviews brainwash kids.
It's a seriously intense fight that was really well executed. They truly captured a totally different way to portray metahuman violence.
Wow! Seeing all these comments I upvoted down to one means some cat just blanket downvoted stuff. Like folks ain't even allowed to like DC.
Right. Instead of super beings just standing there boxing, you see blurs as they lunge, etc. I don't get the blind hate some have for it.
It's not "blind." There are a lot of reasonable arguments for why people don't like MoS or its third act.
Sure. There can be reasonable and different tastes. But you also see people who never watched it, but regurgitate others' negative opinion.
True. I can see people not agreeing with the overall tone, and the third act is bloated and has lots of implied civilian death.
CitizenDickbag
I disagree, because there were literally no stakes in it. Neither side could be harmed, so it was 10 mins of pointless hitting. Was almost
2/ as tedious as the T-Rex scene in Peter Jackson's King Kong.
What? The stakes were humanity, collateral damage. Superman was fighting to stop that. You may have missed some of the point actually.
If he wasn't there, those three could just slaughter the town and the military that arrived. Plus, as we saw, they can hurt each other.
No, I get that, but that's completely uninteresting from a dramatic point when you've got invincible people fighting each other for waaaay
2/ too long on screen. It was self-indulgence, not in any way redeeming for the plot.
Didn't the female Kryptonian actually get injured at the end of the fight when he mask broke? That's not exactly invincible. Fair to say?
