#3 common issue with ADHD. Meds aren't helping anywhere as much as I hoped it would for motivation and executive function, but on the bright side since I started Vyvanse I actually lost 25 pounds because I can actually control my hunger. I "forgot" to eat cookies yesterday.
DigiT00l
Doesn't work as well as I would like, but if I ever don't take them, I am reminded by the fact that they do indeed work for the H part of ADHD, just not really the AD part, at least not as well as I'd like

#15 "We" didn't - but we kinda did. Violence always benefits the first person to use it, whether it's physical violence or systematic. The first monkey who decided to hoard bananas set us on this road. We 'allowed' it by trying to be compassionate and understanding, which only encouraged more antisocial monkeys. Kindness is a weakness, *if* you aren't willing to respond to violence with overwhelming, decisive retaliation and occasionally beat another monkey to death for hoarding all the bananas.

#17 we would study them long term but the other ones beat them to death for doing it.

#40 Where I work, we used to have a creative services director and a director of engineering that would occasionally just show up in the room where we work and start measuring things, and that became our tipoff that they were about to about to really disrupt everything by making a bunch of changes.

My father in law bought me a browning jacket about 15 years ago that I'd never have been thought about buying myself. That is the most durable jacket I've ever owned, and it'll likely outlast me.
Some of those redneck/country brands are seriously worth the money.

Yea, but our monkey give some of the bananes to a band of enforcers who protect them, then create a narrative that those enforcers protect everyone, because "those other monkeys want to take the half of a banana you own".
Voxius
There are way more us than them. Others are starting to realize it too. Just gotta wait a bit longer, the more shit like this they do, the more people wake up.
azarza
maybe but they don't pay them.. state does + random civil forfeiture laws do. fix and take over all that and suddenly the amount of enforcers goes down, forcing the hiring of private security, think private armies, and then a breakdown into weird modern fiefdoms. all isolated, vulnerable and distracted
ropetopus
He also makes sure to not hoard ALL the bananas; just 99%. They are seemingly very generous to some of the monkeys who help them hoard bananas. Enough so that the other monkeys think “getting him to give me bananas is probably better risk/reward than fighting for them”.
Then the rich monkeys convince the poor monkeys that other poor monkeys demanding fair treatment is the actual problem, so the poor monkeys fight each other

#1 With the state of groceries being what they are, I have returned to the humble bologna sandwich and I gotta tell you, it's pretty great. Lots of protein, fat for energy. Between brown bread with a heap of sauerkraut; tons of vitamins and fiber. Butter, and a bunch of deli mustard with black pepper. Decently low carbs, good array of vitamins. The cholesterol and saturated fat isn't great, but eh. Throw in a couple slices of cheddar if budget allows.
Also good fried, with an egg.
ximzadix
yeah with prices the way they are I've started to buy devon again lol.

Loved it when I was a kid, some cheese and tomato w/ relish if mum was rich that week otherwise just some tomato sauce :P
At $5kg its hard to beat the value
NaughtButOne
Ah yeah, same stuff. I've never tried it with tomato. 🤔
I did recently pick up some tomato paste and have been using that in place of keeping fresh tomato. It works really well on tuna, and stows in the fridge without having to worry over it. I've also been alternating between the sauerkraut and sweet pickles.
I'll try and figure out some combination that can work with tomato. c:

for us it was the cheap option for ham, works well in most things that ham does
