Does it get any better than this?

Poetic romance

Barbarian hordes

The best sled ride this side of Clark W. Griswold

Epic beasties

"Run away, run away!"

Witty banter

Gender neutral action & adventure!

Wicked mumsies

Mystic riddles

Wholesome goodness

The spoops

And the cutest floofs!

Fantasy definitely doesn't have to run three and a half hours to immerse you in the world, or feast on doom & gloom. I'd love to see more movies in this vein on the big screen.

#adventure #action #fantasy #willow

Internet never fails to read my mind This was the exact thought I had today “Dadda Dadda!” “ I stole the baby from the stupid dikini”

I think the troll>acorn>hydra scene is well burned into the memory of anyone who's seen this masterpiece

I laughed way to hard at this movie as a child... I now believe it was my start to becoming an asshole

"I dwell in darkness without you" and it *went away*?

I don't love her, she kicked me in the face. (your line is my favorite line so I went with a not as good but still pretty great line)

Pigs!! You're ALL PIGS!!

Cool! I made a Star Wars mash up poster for that movie for no reason a while back

Same creator so no harm no foul

The book series set after the movie is well worth the read.

I really, really loved the novel immediately after Willow, but I didn't feel the other two books quite lived up to that. Good read, doe.

I always thought Willow looked EXACTLY like one of those D grade fantasy movies, except it was a great movie. Kinda weird to me.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Some of it definitely had campy elements to it, but it was really well acted and fun in just the right ways.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It looked like one of those bad fantasy movies that they accidentally made well.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Accidentally indeed. It's a George Lucas flick, hah, but directed by Ron Howard.

Isn't that the dude that played The Leprechaun?

Warwick Davis

This reminds me that I once saw Leprechaun 4: In Space when I came home drunk at 4AM. Even while drunk it was hard to handle

Also, Wickett the Ewok.

I believe Warwick also did turns as R2 when Kenny Baker didn't. ... Could be wrong though.

One of them was Kevin Pollack, stand up comedian and Todd Hockney from Usual Suspects.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And the other one was Rick Overton, who was Rufus on the Bill and Ted tv show.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also one of the grandparents on the Mrs. Maisel show.

All you did was hang around and eat our eggs, eh?

I could hear it the second I read your comment. Sadly, James Horner was killed in a plane accident a few years ago.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I meant Krull.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Star wars?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And yet most of them flopped :(

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I wouldn't say most. Alot of them did flounder, but there were also alot that did well and also have big cult followings.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did they?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lord of the Rings was expected to fail because high fantasy HISTORICALLY flounders at the box office.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Many good films do

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm not saying box office flops are all bad movies. I fucking loved Dredd.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

could you provide more titles please? I like fantasy movies, but it is hard to find them for some reason.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Red Sonya, Conan The Barbarian, The Neverending Story, Ladyhawk, The Beastmaster, krull, The Dark Crystal, Legend, Excalibur, Dragonslayer.
