https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1PA1WR1GG5YUQ?ref_=wl_share

I'm doing this whole farm life thing on top of homeschooling with just what I can scrape together and I'm trying my best. I don't wanna take away from any teachers who need for their classrooms. I will gladly offer some lesson plans on cultural appreciation, various subjects as I finish them if I can get some help just getting some supplies. As far as Lego guys go, I'm just a 50's style goth trash hippie barbie trying to help the kiddos in my area appreciate nature and life around the globe.

High School Special Ed Math
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/25RURI1LZM78S?ref_=wl_share

Special education grades K-6
I work primarily with students who have challenging behavior and students with autism. My amazing kids are brilliant, but struggle in a typical classroom environment. I'm trying to create a classroom that will be a "calm down" space for any students who are overwhelmed or frustrated and need a place where their sensory needs can be met.

TK-6th; I work with students in special education- my list is all about building a sensory room for them.

Hi! I teach Grade 2 in a province where Dougie Ford has been calling the shots for far too long, and as a result I spend a lot of my own money on my underfunded classroom. Unfortunately that’s not a bottomless well, and next year I am hoping to upgrade my calming corner with more sensory fidgets, and replace the cracked bins I bought at dollarama several years ago with something more stackable and durable. I’m a relatively new teacher, but I have lots of experience with neurodiverse students and a reputation for being able to handle whatever my students throw at me (up to and including chairs and death threats, some years) so my classroom is always busy, but I do my best to help everyone feel safe, seen, and loved. If you can help out, I know my kids would really appreciate it!

Kindergarten - Special Education
I’m a career switcher and recently started teaching special education. Switching professions (and taking a huge pay cut) in my 50s, was hard, but my students are so worth it!!! My students are starting school and require support to succeed in a general education classroom. If you or your partner/child/friend have a fidget or tool that helps/helped, please let me know. I’m always looking for new ideas (or those that have worked for others). On behalf of my little kiddos, thank you for looking at my list!

Know that SirMisterDudeBroPhD works at a school that holds powerful historic and cultural significance to the community it serves. It was one of the first schools to offer free public education to Black students. Also, it's not super clear in my info, but I teach middle school choir in a district that LOVES to parade their musicians in front of the community, but cuts FTEs and funds at the first sign of $$ problems. Any help is so very appreciated!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really appreciate having my list shared. Money is more than tight, but I don't want my students to go without either.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you so much! I need a lot of help with my classroom. This is my second year teaching 6th grade. Moved down from high school. I need a lot more materials than I did with high school for my classroom management. Also teaching at a Title 1 school with a lot of SPED and ESL kiddos.

WOW! I taught in a Title 1 school for years. I commend you it gets easier to swear!!!

Thanks, just fixed it!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it bad that I kind of reject crowd funding as a source of education resources. I get the theme, "no one else is going to help us" But its more of an indictment of what the reality is. I don't mean to downplay this at all. My brain goes to "why is this necessary??

8 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Issues existing at the systemic level shouldn't stop us from helping each other at the individual level.

Another example: poverty should be dealt with by our governments, but in the meantime we should still be donating to food banks if able.

8 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I understand completely and agree. Still, it just doesnt sit well with me. Im not trying to say that Im right, Im just trying to express how i feel.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I get this. It's so wrong that this is even needed. As a Brit I get the same feeling when I hear about tipping culture over there, like I get that it is the way it is but it feels wrong to go along with it (because it feels like tacit endorsement), BUT the only other option isn't acceptable either, because not going along with it isn't going to change anything and the workers simply won't get paid survival wages.

+1 signal boost

8 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Thank you each and every person that is able to help out my kids! You don’t know how important you are.

Math classes are the last ones to get supplies and materials and first in line when it’s time for cuts. It’s kind of silly that I’m asking strangers on the internet for help buying dice, stickers, and white boards for my students, but I’ll do it all day, every day if it helps them be successful!

8 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I didn't think to write much as I still have the strangers on the Internet shouldn't get your info mentality. This will be my second year and I switched careers in my early 40s. It's been a wild experience but I love getting to work with kids. I get to teach science! I mean how cool is that? Thank you for doing this!

8 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You’ll be getting packages July 11-14. Enjoy the Geiger Counter, I bet that’ll be cool in class.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you! I totally opened the Geiger counter and ran it around my house. It's too cool.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks so much for taking the time to share my list! It really means a lot.

8 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cleared your list. Delivery on July 14th.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wowwwww!!! I can’t believe this! I was so surprised when I opened the box! Thanks so much. I’ve never shared my list publicly before. The students will be so happy. Thank you thank you!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Enjoy!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't include a bio either! I've been teaching culinary arts & restaurant management for the last 8 years! We compete in many competitions and just recently won first place at NPSI (National ProStart Invitational) in management! I love my job and my students and wouldn't trade it for anything. ProStart is pretty much my life during the school year.

8 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I am adding a few dishes my students made in class on my profile.

8 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can vouch for u/cookingclassroom. I have been her volunteer mentor for both her culinary arts and restaurant management teams since she started competing in 2019.
She has lead both teams to minor and major awards since the beginning.
Notably, both teams won the state competition in 2021 & 22. The Restaurant Management team has won state every year since 2021. And achieved a National win this last May.
Besides competition, u/cookingclassroom focuses on teaching practical culinary ->

8 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

skills and food safety. Her method of reinforcing ServSafe practices is a benchmark to be envied - and I have taught the same coursework.
To say I respect her is an understatement.
As a team, we have excelled because she wades through the competition minutiae, and I bring decades of industry experience.
I shared the link with her in the hopes that the personal financial burden could be lessened.

8 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Also thank you for checking!

8 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Just want them to get the help they need. Really sucks that our system is so bad that teachers have to do these types of things. Have rising 2nd and 8th graders and even though my county is consistently in the top "highest income" list (and my state has the most highest earning counties of a single state), our teachers are reduced to these types of requests too. I expect it to just get worse with all the DoEd shenanigans going on...

8 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thank you! Thank you also for the edit I hadn't considered privacy/safety🙂 good lookin or!

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah it takes a bit to figure out.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you so much for organizing this list! I spend so much energy scraping, scrounging, begging, and borrowing resources every year that it’s really nice to feel like there are people out there who actually want to help.

8 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Your items (yes, all of them, I think?!) are on their way in the next five days or so, first shipment arriving today. With compassion and joy from a wannabe-Manitoban.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just saw your comment here. Merci mille fois!!! Your incredible generosity is going to make such a difference to my kids 🩷🩷

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mostly only lurk on imgur so I don’t really know how the messaging works. I hope this reaches you! It honestly makes me tear up when I think about the difference your random act of kindness will make to my class next year. I promise we will pay it forward!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dear kind stranger, things for my classroom keep arriving and I’ve had to designate a corner of the kitchen for boxes to take to school in August. My own kids have started referring to you as the Imgur Santa. I have enough sensory fidgets to make bins for several colleagues as well as myself. I don’t have enough words or the right words to tell you how much I appreciate your incredible kindness to a bunch of strangers’ kids. Sending you all the love 🩷🩵💜🤍💚❤️💙💜💛🧡

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's all about paying it forward for me. Glad to hear it's making a difference :)

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think some of these wishlists need addresses - when buying for Bobelly there was no option to select a delivery address other than my own. There should be a "wishlist address" option if setup correctly. Also please be careful of PII - some of these wishlists have real names attached to them on the amazon side

8 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Hey, thanks. I just changed the settings on my wishlist. Didn't know that it wasn't set up. I appreciate the heads up.

8 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please add your address to your wishlist!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do I do that?

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You open the list in Amazon, then click the drop-down menu (three little dots) and select “manage list”. You should have the option to add an address there.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you. It has been done.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yay!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am now feeling very foolish for not including a bio of some kind, so here:
I teach in Aurora, Colorado. Our school has a diverse community that features a lot of students from Ethiopia and Eritrea, though we have around 38 languages represented in the school. Technology looks like a mix of coding, robotics, graphic design, and typing, and the students are enthusiastic to learn all of these (minus typing, but we still need it!). Thanks to all, we teachers appreciate it!

8 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I just tried to order a few things on your list but there's no delivery address, all I see is my own address. Isn't there supposed to be a gift address it can be sent to?

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right? Me too!

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I have updated the link but not on this post. It is here:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1PA1WR1GG5YUQ?ref_=wl_share

My students and I appreciate it very much. Your generosity is amazing ❤️

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I saw that you are in Aurora I couldn't resist making a purchase. I was in the Air Force and did my science heavy technical training at Lowry AFB. I have been a self employed software engineer for 25 years now, so I have an appreciation for the work you are doing. Best wishes.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s so kind, thank you! Thank you for your service, also. I actually live in the Lowry area, lovely part of the world :) my students and I appreciate your generosity and kindness

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No foolish feelings necessary. I feel foolish cause there's only 16 upvotes. I forgot I'm an hour ahead of the time I would usually try to catch people at the end of the work day. Prime Day is tomorrow anyway so I will try to do a harder launch then.

I appreciate that you put this together at all!

Is Amazon supposed to provide a delivery address? I just tried to order a few things for moscomule but my only shipping options are to ship it to myself.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I added an address, sorry for the confusion!
