Why the fuck, would anyone, ever allow that to happen Infront of a crowd of people.. that's like 101 of what you don't do. I hope they went to jail for like 2 years, or something, some kind of punishment

Man, I WONDER WHY the original two were wearing PROTECTIVE GEAR. Those poor people.

10 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

As insane as some of SushiRamen's (the original video) ideas are, if it's even slightly risky he and his team without fail will first hold up their hands and say "we don't know what we're doing, we're getting experts in to advise and will follow every word, letter, and punctuation of what they tell us". THEN they do the fun part.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I saw the first gif and was like "wow that looks fun, good thing they have those suits though." Then the second gif made me question if there is such a thing as common sense

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is an acceptable level of stupid, then there is this.

10 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

There's: 1) Doing smart things in smart ways; 2) Doing smart things in dumb ways, which means you have an opportunity to improve; 3) Doing dumb things in smart ways, which means you're original but unlucky; and 4) Doing dumb things in dumb ways, which means you're just and idiot and shouldn't be left unsupervised. This was a strong 4.

@isetprettygirlsonfire someone did not follow the fire safety rules....or common sense at all

10 months ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

Yikes. Fine when you choose to risk yourself doing this with molten iron. But not on an unsuspecting and unprepared audience.

China...guy can't get sued...do it again

10 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

I thought lawsuits were prevalent there? I thought that's why people didn't help injured ppl there, b/c they have no Good Samaritan law and don't want to get sued for fucking up

Both are true when you can just say things.

I work with Aluminium production and on the floor with the pots, in the summer it's like a finnish sauna in the halls(70ยฐc) and when we work near the pots even warmer.. the aluminium inside with the "bath" is near 1000ยฐc so the radiation of warmth is dreadfull.we have fullbody woolgear and fullbody protectiongear as a second layer and everything is drenched in sweat after a few minutes.. but I would not be whitout the gear.. don't play with molten metals whitout safety.btw I'm forkliftcertified

#1 SushiRamen on YT, because im tired of reposts that dont credit the actual creator (no blame on OP) of the stuff they do. Really funny guy, does a lot of science experiments and silly stuff.

10 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I came here to credit him, and you had already done that. Honor to your cow and your children's children. :)

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The slowmo guys also did this experiment (again with appropriate safety precautions). Watching it in slow motion was beautiful.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought this was the slowmo guys at first, the guy hitting had a very gavin reaction

Reminds me of Incendiary Breaker from Helldivers 2

I worked in a pig iron works. I was suited up and trying to clear a channel of slag with a long wood pole (it was the way). Shoved the pole into the box and slag and iron sprayed out (also, it was the way) and a drop of slag/iron got inside my suit. Hit me on the left tit, travelled down inside shirt to my gut, owie, so I pulled my clothing away from my body. Unimpeded, the 'sprite' landed next to my scrote, burned, then went down into my safety boot and lodged on my instep. 4 burns.

When I first saw it, I thought it was like a crowd control attack by pigs, then i saw the people with their phones out smiling and thought - what tha fuuuuuck?

10 months ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 3

I actually thought the opposite, good counter attack against pigs

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I like that, except they'd just start shooting then.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They start shooting anyway

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Level 3 sorcerer just cast Burning Hands and got critical hits on everyone, damn.

10 months ago | Likes 172 Dislikes 3

Burning hands is a reflex(or dex) save and cannot crit.

10 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

While you're correct, I feel implored to inform you that no one cares.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Correct. Most if not all AoE damaging spells are a save rather than an attack. Some attack spells might have an AoE aftereffect (Ice Knife).

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm new to 'Baldur's Gate 3' (and 'Dungeons & Dragons'). Be gentle D: But why can't it? Doesn't every attack have an offensive roll that can become critical?

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The others explained it all well already, but for me it's easier to remember by thinking of it like things such as a gun vs a flamethrower. A gun can hit specific body parts for varying damage, including vital spots or "crits".

With a flamethrower you either get the fuck out of the way or get roasted.

General rule of thumb: targeted attacks can crit, area attacks cannot.

Flip side is that generally area attacks cannot miss, and usually still inflict half damage even if those caught in the area make their saves.

There are almost certainly exceptions to both of these, I am sure, but it's a decent starting point. The idea is that anything you shoot specifically at a point could, in theory, hit a ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต point, but anything in an area just hits the whole area equally.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some spells you only roll damage on when the target fails their save instead of you rolling to break their armor class.

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You might be able to roll max damage but unless the DM says otherwise, you can only crit on an attack roll, not a save. Vulnerability doubles the damage but it's not the same as a crit. Shame sometimes you can deal more damage with a normal damage roll than a critical one but at least a critical is a guaranteed hit on the target, even if you total is less than the target's AC.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rolls where you roll an attack die can crit, this is mostly weapon attacks and some single-target (or multiple-targets-shot-individually) spells.
Area effects and status effects instead usually have the victims of the spell roll a defensive save, either a specific stat like Dex or Con, or a "defense stat" (which is just based off specific stats) like Reflex or Toughness depending on the edition.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In simplified terms:

Attacker has chance to miss = chance to crit

Attacker can't miss but target can dodge = no chance to crit

(This is a gross over simplification as terms and conditions may vary, please consult your local PHB for full explanation of benefits)
