When i was 16 I stole from WM once and almost got caught. I was dumb and should have gotten caught. I no go to WM any more. Now I'm 40 and don't need to steal.
Remember, if you steal less than $950 and only do it once, it's not a felony, and the companies don't want to grab you if it's not a felony, because they're evil cunts who want people to suffer. (Check with your local lawyers to verify numbers, and don't do crimes kids)
You should steal from walmart, if you go back to it, though. It's fun. (Don't do crimes, kids!)
The thing is, it doesn't which is why the US businesses that are not just local are falling behind. In Europe "Made in America" is now considered a warning label. Who wants some cheap crap put together by workers paid the minimum they can get away with and have to work when they are sick because "sick days" is a thing? And yeah, I got that you were being sarcastic, you get a +1 for that.
Geking gets it, I thought you did possibly with the "generalizations are all the rage" but you chose to rage out yourself, instead of thinking ... I won't bother to explain further as you're obviously seeing red 🤷
Lets not cheer for small biz because some do bad things.
Thats the vibe.
The very best jobs I have had have been from small biz. Same is true with the worst. You just gotta find a good one. People that are passionate about helping people and finding a solution as a living.
And that is the vibe of "black people do more crimes"? HOW? Explain it to me in succinct detail how what I said is anything like that and please explain the racist bullshit that it implies as well. Let's not cheer for small businesses because they are the WORST of the wage thieves was my point, a point that is absolutely true. Generalisations do not include everyone, no one thinks that every single cop is bad but will still say ACAB. Jesus Christ what are you on about?
As a small biz guy, no. Its not. Please dont do that kinda crap. Does not matter if its aimed at a race, ethnic group, or class. I have one co worker. 9 to 5. Thats it. Weekly bonus ontop of pay. Base pay is more than their spouse. Benefits.
Not every biz owner is trash, not every landlord is trash. Most, yes. But not all.
I always made sure than all of my employees were well compensated. I generally had a staff of five to eight employees at a time over about ten years. It pretty much felt like an extended family. We hung together and had a good time. I probably could have squeezed a few more dollars out of my little company, but I have a decade of happy memories and some lasting friendships. You can't buy that.
There are good eggs. A local chain here used to pay 25 an hour starting, hired mostly people who had served prison time to help them get back on their feet, did in house pay advances to prevent predatory interest (and were interest free) all you had to do was work with them on setting up budgets for things like groceries and utilities and they'd help you buy a car or something. And had the best damn hot chicken. Unfortunately the owners got old and sold to investment equity and now it's shit
No. Not true. You have no clue what you just said. You don’t know all of the small business owners. And you are probably speaking from a single bad experience. DO NOT lump hard working people who provide others with great lives into that type-cast. This is an affront on every good person trying to fix things while you piss your pants. Sorry for being terse but this one is important
I haven't worked in retail for a very long time, could you clarify, are you saying that but businesses like Walmart don't do wage-theft, and it something that plagues independents?
Sorry, I struggle with understanding this sort of thing. So, 'every small business owner ever', would you guys also say that's also all big businesses, or just some too? Or am I completely misreading the entire thing?
Ehhh.... i can't speak for all business in all scales. All I can say is not every small business. I know enough small businesses that do their best by their employees. That's probably not even close to being half of small business, but it's still common enough. Big business? Every big business commits wage theft. Every single one.
It's sure not every small business. But on the big numbers, I've had much worse experiences with them than large ones pulling shenanigans with my time card. Big ones have a lot to lose and spend the money on legal teams who try to keep management in compliance. I've had very similar experience of mom & pop landlords vs the big firms.

Also if you don't need to steal, don't steal. Even Walmart. Everyone likes it more when all the products aren't under glass.

Just do it in a clean way and don't leave carts full of crap as a distraction. The employees there have enough to do without that shit accumulating.

Small businesses do have a problem with wage theft and unpaid overtime as well as not paying fair wages so lets not cheer for them either.

Better wage theft means bigger successful businesses!

True, also not all people are hard workers who earn their pay, lots of slackers

Nowhere in their statement did they say or even vaguely imply that.

My first job was at a Marathon station. The owner constantly bitched how unfair minimum wage was... to him. He wanted to pay LESS.
AamuVircku
Dickheads are everywhere. However, he DID pay the legal minimum, unlike big business that doesn't and gets away with it
Ikwilstroopwaffels
Yeah, no he didn't. I won't get into it, but he constantly shorted me, etc., and I didn't stay long.
AamuVircku
Alright
A full blooded dickhead, through and through then. Can't escape these people anywhere.
