In this gif? Just the one.
TheSaltyCaptain
Almost everyone in Australia. One of the most popular TV shows follows police as they pull over drivers. Breathalyzers are a huge part of it
Wepfmokk
I also don't know what a polygraph looks like but I'm not gonna start answering questions when they hook me up to a fax machine.
kongfuchicken
You probably would if it were real cops making you nervous with accusations and hooking you to legit looking electrodes to a weird ass fax.
Uffen90
Haha.. that’s still one of the best ways to call people like this idiots! - muppet! Brilliant word

RickRollable
No

Retired internist here. I could make you look like a fool in any number of ways but professionals don’t do that.
GandalfTheWhitest
Is that a pacifier around his neck?
RealScienceMan
Okay but also like I have no idea what a breathalizer looks like I've never seen one before.
EaNasirIsABastard
Really? They are quite recommended for drivers.
Account3577
Yeah but he's "blowing into" a solid lump of plastic.
penzick
Me neither. But I have seen walkie-talkies so....

TakeYouAway
Cop told him to do a breathalyzer test but was actually having him blow on his radio
Door staff for a nightclub, not cops.
Ah, couldn't tell. Thank you
At least you're not a complete muppet.
PupDiogenes

Sheldonian
Yes
TheGgreen100
I like how he makes fun of him for complying with the police's request, when we all know questioning them at all results in a beating.

For anyone interested that's a Midlands accent. Sounds like Birmingham to me but I'm not from the area so that might not be exactly right.
Fnarrrr
Yup! recognised the dulcet Brummie tones and the backdrop of vomit alley (aka Broad St). Come to the Commomwealth games & meet these locals
Kingjellybean
Spot on. Top of Broad Street outside what is now PRYZM.
tr0lleyjack
You are exactly right. That is 182 Broad Street, in Birmingham.
PlagueDoctorInDaHouse
Says Birmingham on the fence, so yeah you might be spot on
Lol entirely missed that ?♂️
19wesley88
Yea, it's a nightclub at the top of broadstreet
Yeah you can read it on the banner

How the fuck does a country the size of a teaspoon have so many regional accents
PeteThePerv
weak central government, cultural exchange with other languages are usually the main reasons, i believe.

Yeh Ireland just as diverse. Americans think there is a "british" or an "irish" accent but reality is that there's so many and so different
I learned this when I first heard the kerfuffle of Americans doing britush accents and finding out they were tapping 5 differenr dialects.
Criecheck
And then theres just the Scottish...
?
iamamentat
As an American, I enjoy trying to identify the region. We have regional accents as well, but more spread out. Try Tennessee vs Georgia.
Callynd
When the fastest mode of transportation most people have is a brisk walk, language diverges quickly. Standardization is recent.
This still confuses me because with the cost of traveling American accents should be far more diverse
Americans had more reason to travel, there was cheap land out over the hills. They also had less time to develop regional accents.
American accents in the 20s were much more diverse than they are today. Still not like in England where crossing the county line can change
DeDutchDudeDatDoes
