I was a little disappointed they didn't show him singing, I was waiting for it. He was a great mob villain in a movie called FX too. A great action movie with reasonable stakes and believable plot points like we used to get a lot back then.

I genuinely give Encanto props for touching on generational trauma. My only little gripe is that, once Abuela's story becomes clear, Mirabel seems to forgive her abusiveness pretty quickly. If she'd said something like, "I understand. I'm still not happy with how you treated us, and we'll work on that, but I get it," Encanto might be the best Disney film yet.
