Bobcat Goldthwait Appreciation Post

Aug 21, 2020 3:45 AM

He is underrated and is still alive.
He was Robin William's best friend.
I honestly thought Hollywood was progressive enough to employ a special needs person who was at the time I thought was autistic/has tourettes. I onlu recently learned that it was a character shtick that he did as a comedic actor.

One crazy summer! One of my 3 favorite bobcat movies. Police academy and hot to trot are the other 2

Only 1/7 gifs has sound, that's unfortunate.

I think Bobcat Is Charlie Days (IASIP) father

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

He is a very accomplished writer and director.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

God Bless America is a really cool film he directed. Also him and Seinfeld HATE each other.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Huh. Why?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Charley Day reminds me of him

In the Godzilla suit...it's good to be back here at club Tokyo....

Any Bobcat posts have to have audio

5 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure that's one of the rules of the internet

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was also the Candy Cane truck driver in Bobs Burgers

5 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Loved his little cameo in Bobs Burgers.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is good! Can't even taste the baby.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm going to bang your butt!

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

The tone of the conversation after that was so awkwardly natural I want to believe it was an ad lib they just rolled with

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was always just a little too much for me.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What, no Shakes the Clown? It’s the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

When the hell was The Larry Sanders Show on itv4?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was insane. And not in a good way.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks for that! Surprising video.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One crazy summer

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5-ish years ago he pulled me on stage with Noel Fielding and made a joke about how I look like James Cordon. The burn still hurts.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

He then proceeded to tell a story about how his grown daughter shit her pants and made everyone in the audiance promise not to tell.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Why did you just break the promise

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The promise was more about the specific circumstances it happened under than the fact that it happened.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun fact he was in a comedy duo with Tom Kenny, aka the voice of SpongeBob. It's also weird when you hear Tom Kenny swear. Lol

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As someone who sounds like Tom Kenny it’s weird hearing him period

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The guy is most famous for his voice and this entire post is silent.

5 years ago | Likes 697 Dislikes 1

Yeah, wth

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I legit always thought that was his voice and not a character

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Almost. #3 has sound.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fuckin oath

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And yet you all heard it in your heads. Magic!

5 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

Synthesia is lovely eh ( :

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, because I don't recognise him so I could have done with sound.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I love him.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was in the same category as Pauly Shore to me. I enjoyed watching him, even when he went on Hollywood squares.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He is also an instructor on a very important police skill:

5 years ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 0

Fackler should have been the one teaching about accident reports.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Under appreciated point of view, my friend

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, he's the voice of Pain (Pain! Aaaand Panic!) from Hercules!

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

This is where I know him from :)

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

This is the comedian who Jerry Seinfeld bagged out in his Comedians in Cars, Getting Coffee episode with Bridget Everett.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Bagged out?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea, Jerry didn’t say his name. But it was pretty clear he was describing Bobcat when talking about the comedian that he hated.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And apparently it’s not even super clear why, other than they don’t like each other’s act. Surely there’s more to it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also on the NPR show "wait wait...dont tell me" from time to time

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

I love when Bobcat and Paula Poundstone are on the same episode.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love listening to him on Wait Wait! Great show in general

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And at age 36, he was engaged to a 19 year old Nikki Cox before her botched surgery & mental breakdown.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown films! I learned that from the back of the VHS.

He has also directed several amazing movies. World’s Greatest Dad w/ Robin Williams. Found footage Bigfoot movie called Willow Creek.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

And God bless America with Joel Murray who said “I’ve killed myself in so many movies, I can put a gun in my mouth and guess the caliber”.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

God Bless America...was crazy

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Watch willow creek. If you have, watch it again. I liked GBA a ton but world’s greatest dad is his best work I think.
