Family dined at my restaurant last night & one of them refused to wear a mask. I politely asked him to put his mask on, while not at the table. They sat down. Next time I walked by the dude sneakily threw food at me. Hit my leg. Stained my pants. I was shocked. Did people forget how to act while in public?

Edit: No freakin way! Front page?! After I got home last night I was so pissed, I had a few alcohols & don't even member posting this. Go drunk me!!

Update: A few of you were trying to guess how I reacted. Here's the skinny.

As soon as it went down I stopped, turned to the table & said "Dude, did you really just throw food at me?". He didn't turn around & his family froze. Good 15 seconds went by before I turned back, walked to the office, took a breath & contemplated calling my GM to quit, so I could go punch this fuck nugget in the face. I decided my daughter's health insurance was more important.
Instead of violence, I cut his whole family off from booze & food, auto grated their bill 20% & told the server to bring them their check. They left shortly after & on the way out his family tried to apologize. I smirked & side eyed them. It was the Dad that threw the food. He was with his two kids, wife, grandparents and a few other family members. He was the last one out & made sure to take off his mask before he got to the door. I rolled my eyes & laughed.

Be excellent to each other my fwends.

Because they dont get punished. Call the law. Tresspass him. Fuck him, get him on battery.

This shit infuriates me. I don't work retail/food anymore but I'm tempted to volunteer to just play mask police to spare a few workers

This is an action which deserves a punch to the face.

Sooo... Throwing things at people, food or otherwise, is a form of assault. You can call the cops. He don't know if you got sauce allergy.

Dude i couldn't. I'd cut a muthafucker. I get respect is earned. But there is a baseline to common decency that has left America.

I love being 6'5" and over 300. Not many folks I can't drag outside like a parent and do some "Parenting". Defend yourself, even at work!

I hope he was removed from the restaurant

Work as a RN in the ER, asked a patient to put on a mask and he punched me in the stomach. People kinda suck sometimes.

Get the manager to check the tapes, put up their picture on the wall and deny them service.

I was the manager on duty. After I asked him to put on his mask he said "DO YOU WORK HERE?!" I informed him that I do, & I'm the manager.

Why. the. fuck. are your restaurants open? I haven't had a meal in a restaurant or a beer in my local bar in a fuckin year.

My spot is outdoor dining.

I work at a boing center on an Army base. These mother fuckers refuse masks on a daily, but I'm the cunt bitch for enforcing base regulation

This weekend I had to call the MP on these dudes refusing masks and then they started licking my fucking windows. Drunk as piss.

You seem to be under the impression that they ever knew how to be good in public

They were visiting San Francisco from somewhere. Not sure where.

it’s like scolding a toddler, work in retail and the stupidity of these people

Id eject them then and there

He’ll run for the senate in a few years

And you will choose him because you relate to him.

Too late... Hawley is already a Senator

He might already be a senator.

If he had a reality show and a BUNCH of failed businesses with his name on them, he could run for POTUS

The people who don't care about wearing a mask, are the same who just don't care about others.

I believe we have trump to thank for childish behavior towards people.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Yup. He and his lunatic friends normalized being open about being shitty people. Before they'd be afraid to act like this in public.

My brother works in a casino. Muffin to the back of the head. Man arrested for battery and trespassing. Consequences.

Present the parent with dry cleaning bill, and ban with picture from establishment. I’m angry on your behalf, unacceptable behavior.

5 years ago | Likes 215 Dislikes 2

It was the Father that threw the food!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It’s cute that you think it wasn’t the parent that threw it

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Noone said it was a child

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

The parent is probably the one throwing food. Kids are pretty good at wearing masks in public from what I've seen.

5 years ago | Likes 146 Dislikes 0

Zactly! Well played. You're Like Nostradamus

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Kids learn from parents. If the parent refuses soon the kid will too

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I'll see families walk by, kids masked, adults not. Teenagers out being shitheads... Masked. The kids have brains in their heads

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The rest of us civilized citizens need to start standing up against these maniacs. If someone is refusing to wear a mask, call them out!

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Stand up for whatever poor cashier or min. wage scapegoat they are attacking. I promise you, as soon as they are confronted with anything

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Besides a single scared teenager who doesn’t want to lose their job...they shut the fuck up. Sometimes aggression needs to be met with more

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Aggression, not just being sly and videotaping the confrontation.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It can be dangerous is part of the problem. They are already clearly unhinged, and often have guns. It’s safer to record and present to 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the authorities, but it often doesn’t actually stop the behavior. It’s a hard line to walk. And these crazies don’t listen to reason. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Short answer is yes, people have forgotten how to act in public.

5 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 2

I wish Mike Tyson would give a very public lesson to remind everyone what happens when you mouth writes a check your body can't cash

Republicans anyway

They've always known and never cared. Behaving is for people the respect and they will never respect workers

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Let's make a concerted effort to bring civility back to society. Stop the madness.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was always an act.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Anyone retail or retail adjacent knows they didn't forget. They never knew.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As long as it's drive thru and wear a mask at the window I give a slight pass

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Definitely need a mask

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I said?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahaha yes, I have also been the recipient of a sneak sauce attack. Motherfuckers. Fucking crybaby pussies wear your fucking masks. Grow up.

5 years ago | Likes 434 Dislikes 2

You know it's bad when there are now advertisements that are no longer nice about it. I saw 1 yesterday that said the medical teams &...

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

minimum wage workers are able to wear masks for 10 or more hours. You can too. Be an adult & wear your mask. I would have laughed if it...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

wasn't so sad that we have to tell people to be act like an adult.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Isn’t this battery technically? If their childish enough to throw food at me you bet your ass I’d try for battery lol

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Of course, but with just my word against his, if I were to have taken action, it would have been easier to just “defend myself” lol

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This is where you somehow get him beat up.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly it didn’t matter to me. What a chicken shit move lol. Real tough guy.
