Have a drink with me.

Jan 11, 2017 1:21 AM

For a long time I've wanted to join the military but never had the balls to do it. Maybe I was just scared. But 23 years into my life, I have finally decided to do it. I was hella nervous taking the test. After my recruiter told me my score, I was shaking. It all became real in that second. I know you guys probably don't care but I wanted to share with someone. (I haven't told my family yet). Also, I know a lot of vets are on here so if you got any advice for a greenie, I'm all ears. I'm getting drunk tonight so have a drink with me. Cheers.

What branch are you joining?

Do your homework before trusting whatever your recruiter says. Be prepared to meet some awesome people and some painfully dumb people.

Raising a glass. My brother says to start working on the Physical Training requirements as soon as you sober up.

I remember being shocked at how incredibly stupid a lot of the questions were.

110 gets you pretty much any MOS, for all those reading.

131

Kinda, My MOS depended on ST score. Also i think only Army has a GT score. Other branches use other acronyms and measurements.
