Mid 2016

Around the same time.

Late 2017. Around my maximum weight. Wasn't taking many full body pictures by this time.

Post weight loss. Just wanted to share what I felt was a major personal accomplishment. Simultaneously completed a bachelor's and then Master's, both in History.

Cat tax to finish. Gompertz and Zebo. Born in march. They're a handful but very affectionate and a lot of fun. Cheers and have a great day.

You, are an impressive human.

I pray the late 2017 one was like october 31 late..

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well done mate, looking great!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@Vaars Bruh, it's not fair to take photos of two totally different guys and post them as one guy.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But, seriously! Good job! Well done, and keep it up!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Okay, I'm fat. I've got a mirror and a pair of scissors. Where, *EXACTLY*, do I poke to lose 150lbs?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good job bro, that’s a major accomplishment. I’m proud of you. There’s too much good food in the world :/ I need to lose weight too

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A huge part of my success came from finding low calorie meals I could love as much as the sugary stuff I was used to.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The head injury must have helped huh

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

He has no idea...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

you look amazing! congrats

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

now is the time to invest in some good fitting clothes @OP. It can be hard to break the habit of wearing baggy clothes but it's so worth it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Let's don't talk about the scissors.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Glad you got the scissors out

Whoa! Great work, dude. Seriously great work, and inspiring.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shitballs

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good job! Now go clean yo mirror.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol. Those are actually soap streaks. I did a once over with soap and paper towel before the picture but didn't bother wih the streaks.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was the scissors in the head an emergency room photo or Halloween photo?

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Halloween lol.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Man! Look at you! That was hard work! Keep it up!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

holy shit mate thats amazing

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You lost so much face weight you needs different glasses! That’s amazing. Great job. I’m trying to kicks sugar addiction myself.

5 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Coffee. I can’t start my day without it. I can’t do it without sugar. I kicked drugs and booze can’t kick the sweet stuff.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks. I had to essentially tell myself I wouldn't eat sugar at all. That was the only way, since even a little bit results in snacking

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

You look amazing, man! What a difference. I bet it feels even better than it looks, too.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cutting it out completely helped a lot, and I find its easier to cut entirely than just a little bit.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Might not work for everyone though.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

did you find natural sugars seemed sweet again? Like apes and such?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

apples* fuck.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How?

5 years ago | Likes 252 Dislikes 3

He took the cork out of his ass ... but seriously good job

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eat less, move more

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Running with scissors?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Scissors to the head. Ruined appetite.

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Cocaine, a lot of it

5 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 4

BTW good job @OP!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A caloric deficit.

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Dieting. Cut most carbs, swapped to meat and veggies. Prep all my own food. Count calories. Chicken, pork tenderloin and lots of broccoli.

5 years ago | Likes 504 Dislikes 2

It’s a fundamental change in what goes in. You can never go back to old habits as you’ve learned new lessons. Treats are ok occasionally

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How much calories?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I generally stay under 1000 a day

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great job. My goal is also sub-200. Similar diet. Pandemic kinda threw a wrench in things but i'm back on track. 275-245 so far.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Good on you man. I've cut out a lot of food, and I'm down 50, but I clearly need to make more changes to make more progress.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nice job dude

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is INSANE bro.... Well done!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The weight loss is impressive and all, but how the hell did you manage to dual enroll for a bachelor's and a master's?

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Poorly worded. I finished my bachelor's then started and completed my masters in the same time frame as I lost the weight

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Right on buddy!!! "Eat right or don't bother"

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How long did it take you after doing all of that?

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Started in April 2018, and reached 190 around February/March of this year. The bulk of the weight Loss was in the preceding summer though

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

good job dude.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Thanks, this is giving me hope for my own journey. Cutting out carbs is kinda hard

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Amen

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank god! For a second I thought it involved a lobotomy with scissors but your approach is way safer. Congrats!!!?

5 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

Everyone knows the icepick is the lobotomy instrument of choice.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Did you exercise? I'm obese and find it so painful to move. I'm hoping for more luck with the dieting then if I can drop some lbs, exercise.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do 10-15 minutes of concentrated Excercize every day, plus occasional jogs/long walks. Diet is by far the main thing

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This summer I cycled 1500 KMs without any change in diet. I didn't lose a single pound! Diet is definitely the way to lose weight.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does brocoli at some point taste good? Any tips?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I use a little bit of butter (or olive oil), salt, pepper, lemon juice, and parmesan cheese. Better calories than cheese sauce but tasty.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like using it in stir fries with chili powder, cayenne, garlic, veggie oil, and mustard. I've also been doing the same with cabbage

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just acts as a healthy vessel to absorb flavor from low cal ingredients.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

0key I will try that!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whenever I go through a phase of trying hard my go to food is turkey mince and steamed vegetables. Boring as hell. But it works.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look to flavorful but low cal additions like mustard, chili powder, cayenne pepper, etc. Can make boring veggies delicious

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This gives me hope. I’m really tired of being fat and planing to start keto/ walks/ working out Monday. Thanks for the inspiration

5 years ago | Likes 208 Dislikes 0

You got this! Don’t be discouraged if there’s no immediate results. It happens over time

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IMO fuck Keto it isn't sustainable especially if you have trouble dieting. I wish you all the best though.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Be careful with keto. Fasting has been working for me but its not for everyone

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I do intermittent fasting too. Tried keto to start, then just swapped to low calorie. Found the high fat intake to be unsustainable

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'd advise against keto, current medical advice, it is a fad diet. Nothing is proven to be more effective than lasting change to cal intake.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Summer bodies are built in the winter.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bruh go read the fast 800, even if you don't follow the diet properly it explains so much about cravings and stuff. I'm starting it tomorrow

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok, I’ve never heard of that. Thanks for the heads up

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah man, I did it last year and dropped from 21st to 18st in 2 months, then shit happened and I'm back to the start. Time to start again.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can drop A LOT of weight by cutting out processed foods. Use raw ingredients and cook that up.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or just, hear me out, eat less calories than you burn

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a given.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. Also thank you @op! My start day is Monday also. Found 20 reusable meal prep containers online for less than $20! Would love recipes!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got a keto crockpot cookbook and plan on doing single crock thing a week and keto breakfast casserole. That seemed easiest.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why not today? You don't need an even day or holiday to commit to yourself! You can do the thing!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have to be in the right place mentaly or you will fail. having a date to start is really good, gives you time to get in the right mindset

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me it'd just end up as excuse to binge all the bad habits before the commitment starts, but to each their own, I guess.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First time I did keto I dropped 40 lbs in 6 months. With no extra exercise. I love that diet. I sleep better and think better with it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most important thing is to drink only water. Eat your calories, don't drink them.

5 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

This. Also as they say; a sixpack is made in the kitchen, not the gym.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Correct. My sixpack's in the fridge and that's in the kitchen

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is tea and coffee still alright, most of the reading I’ve done say it’s ok..

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Unsweetened tea and coffee are fine calorie wise, just remember that both contain caffeine which does impact your digestion.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As long as you don't got ham on cream/sugar. Black coffee and straight tea are almost zero calories

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Better than drinking tea is drinking other hot brews like peppermint tea or other misnamed teas that aren't actually tea.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely unless you put like 5 cubes of sugar in your coffee :) and if you use milk just use light milk or whatever

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Keto can be rough the first few weeks when your body adapts, don't get disheartened if you find yourself without the energy for working out.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just remember. It is hard. But it gets easier every day. But you have to stick with it, which is the hard part. - BoJack Horseman almost

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Start today, you got this

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I work 12 to 14 hour shifts all weekend. I was going to take Monday and meal prep. But I am going to be healthy today

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keto is a great way to go I lost 44pounds and running If you don’t have a plan yet download the app called “stupid simple keto diet”

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It really helps keep you accountable and comes with lots of info and a free book and recipes to help keep things fresh

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice you can do it!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try flavoring meals with chili powder and/or cayenne pepper. Flavourful and low cal alternagives to things like BBQ sauce, breading, etc.

5 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 0

This. Basically don’t buy anything processed. Just have fridge full of raw food that will need to be prepared. Have a cheat day 1/w.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ranch, hot sauce, and cheese are great and low cal as well!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

I agree with hot sauce, but not the other two. Some cheeses aren't as bad as others, but ranch certainly isn't a low cal condiment/dressing

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dropped a few pounds over the summer by counting calories. I found myself craving hot sauce and even started eating onions straight.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Sugar free BBQ sauce, ketchup and honey mustard ftw ;)

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Also Alton brown made a good point about this.... If you drink diet Coke all day when you binge eat M&M's that sweetness isn't as alarming

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sugar free does not necessarily mean low carb

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

That's a good tip

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chili peppers slightly speed up the metabolism and help to lose weight.

Ao you're saying i should put a Carolina reaper in my ass

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

*snorts chili powder

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Hah for me it works by not giving my body a chance to absorb any nutrients and sends it right back out into the shitter

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You can buy powdered schwarma seasoning too. Add chicken, tabouli mix, and cauliflower rice and you can eat as much as you want of it.
