I got really keen on the Netflix Witcher series.
I then played Wicher 3 a bunch of times.
I then read the books.
Season 2 made me cringe a bit tho, BUT, I still like the story so I had a go at making the Medallion Geralt wears.

Please deposit your favourite Witcher 3 quotes below.
Such classics as:
"Winds howling",
And
"Might look around some"
.
Mine is when Geralt tells Whoresone jr 'why you can't lie to me' in a grand violent monologue.
.
Full video of the medallion make with descriptions is on my YouTube for anyone wanting to further understand the process.

Edit: went to bed and woke up most viral! How exciting, send Witcher memes.
Also - finished weight is 31g, and waste I'll melt down is 19 . 3g Sterling silver (not including chain weight). For those asking.

Edit 2:
Had a few people ask me to make a few more of these:

I always get rekt on here for not showing close up finals of my work. Hopefully this covers it!

Hand carved?! You clearly used some kind of carving tool.

That's incredible! Does it vibrate when you discover a place of power? Or at least unsecured Wi-Fi?

Are you even a Witcher fan if you haven't handcrafted your own medallion?

Guys, listen to me:

"PSSSSSSSSHH" - The Rain because IT NEVER STOPS RAINING in Witcher 3.

Toussaint is so nice after the main game.

I liked the part where you quenched it and it went "fwoooosh".

So satisfying

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I need to buy one for my boyfriend thoo how much op?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks great. You put a lot of work into that. Have you tried wax carving/casting though?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Done wax carving for 15 years, I like metal carving better

Sunk almost 500 hours into Witcher 3... Loved every second.

My favorite thing to do was just venture into the vast wilderness checking out every single "?" On the map. Never got bored.

Toss that coin to a Witcher, @OP

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fire fucker?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sound as it hits the water. Beautiful.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the tinkling as the flux hardens and chips away

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That moment when it looks like a slice of pepperoni when hot. Great result @OP! Somewhat related(wait for it)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Forbidden pepperoni

Geralt: I'm taking Uma. And find something else to do, like putting sticks up frogs' asses. Some guy: Haha is that what you witchers do?...

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Geralt: Witcher version's different. Don't make me show you.

The oaf outside the barn, ah, memberberries

S2 made you cringe? Can you elaborate? I’d love to hear your reasoning.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

My only issue is that covid ate a crap ton of their budget so more corners were cut in post prod. Also their wigs are terrible.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Covid decimated a lot of the production and it shows a bit in areas

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was confused about that as well. I have 2 episodes left and haven’t cringed yet and I’m very sensitive to cringe lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not going to spoil anything for you

"Hmmmm" - Geralt

You're mortal now, do it yourself!

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Just saw that episode, sad one

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

First of all, cool and well done. More importantly though, YOU SHOWED THE FINISH PRODUCT /FIRST/! Take all the damn upvotes!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I learned my lesson the hard way on that front

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very skilful but I can’t help thinking that anyone else would have saved a few days work and cast it?

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

and a lot less wasted material.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I actually enjoy carving, it keeps my skills sharp. And it was only a days work, not far off carving a wax.

4 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I feel like it might have saved time and money considering how much silver just got discarded

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Silver isn't worth a huge amount, and it was scrap. I would probably spend more on dinner than the waste.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You need to carve it out of something to cast it; if OP wanted to make more, a mold would be ideal.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Correct-o-mondo!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Would you be able to do the mage symbol

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Theoretically! If I knew what it is

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From Witcher, I think yennefer wears it.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh the black star with diamond set in it. That's cool

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would be more then happy to provide the stone

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have black jade or something lying about?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck, season 2 is out? That looks amazing btw OP, well done!

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I thought it came out on Saturday when I had stupidly made plans but then someone mentioned they’d started watching it on Friday. Flippineck

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thanks! And yeah, I nerded out in one night on it

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Yeah it's different in a couple shocking ways. But I still immensely enjoyed it.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah same here. First episode is one of the best opens. Felt like an x-files episode.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you read the books save yourself the torment. Unless you can completely accept this is/will not actually be a faithful adaptation. 1/

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 20

Not here to be a good time ruiner, if you can dig it have at er. But this is the first time I've been upset about a book to series.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

Personally I don't see the point if a series follows a book word for word. The story has already been done. How To Train Your Dragon

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Is a great example, the books and the movies are nothing alike, and honestly that was the best part for me. To each their own I guess.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Seen a lot of people moaning about the witcher orgy scene. Saying they won't watch it now as its so different etc, I get that it was 1/?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And this has been a good book to series keeping largely the source material, and you're right, theyre never going to be completely 3/?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Truthful to the books and I like seeing a different spin, otherwise I might as well read the books again.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But at the same time it's so small and doesn't mean much for the episode. Just think people get way to angry over small things 2/?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's nice work. Do you sell these?

4 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 3

There are already several of them available on Etsy if you want one.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

Heaps! I took a bit of inspiration from a few examples

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. We can make instagram accounts and pay in exposure. Its like, better than cash. /s

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Haha, feels

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Potentially if I make a mold in the new year, this was a spur of the moment make :)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd love one as well!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am intrigued. I cannot watch the Netflix series because of the games and books.

Dot

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definately interested. Could you give me an indication for the price of one of these?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I ran some maths on production, in Sterling silver they would be $220 + post / your country's tax. Less in brass.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In!!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dot ?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Looks like I'm making a mold!
