The Slammin' Salmon 2009
How many people know that the entire crew that gave us Super Troopers and Beerfest made a straight to video movie? Well they did, and it was really funny. Throw on a young Cobie Smulders and they all are trying to have the best night as servers at a restaurant for a huge cash prize offered from a desperate former championship boxer played by Michael Clarke Duncan and you get a true treat. You will love this movie.
Clue 1985
Based off the board game, this story follows the group around a large mansion as murders occur and they try and determine who the killer is. Smart, fun, with a tremendous cast, this is a classic that a lot of this generation has missed.
Dave 1993
A regular guy who looks exactly like the President impersonates him for a time and learns how hard and how much good he can do as the President. Kevin Kline was brilliant, and this is a great movie, fun all around.
Captain Ron 1992
A family inherits a large sailing boat but doesn't know how to sail. When they want to sail the Caribbean they hire the craziest captain imaginable. Such a surprisingly fun movie and Kurt Russell was great. Must watch.
Canadian Bacon 1995
In one of John Candys last roles, America wants to create an enemy after the Soviet Union broke up and with a lack of options they choose Canada. Yes good ole Canada. Absolutely hilarious, and a great watch especially with the similarities to todays events.
Defendor 2009
A dim witted man tried to be a super hero and gets involved in a fight against some dangerous and serious criminals and crooked cops. Woody Harrelson was perfect. A true surprise, highly recommended film.
Goon 2012
A nice guy becomes a fighter on a pro hockey team by accident. The plot is that simple but the subtle moments of hilarity make this one a great watch, especially for hockey fans.
Hero (aka Accidental Hero) 1992
Dustin Hoffman is a shady thief, cheat, and all around scumbag. When a plane crashes he reluctantly saves everyone on board, and doesn't get any of the recognition, reward money, or anything afterwards. Instead it goes to the nicest, kindest homeless man. One of the best underrated comedies ever made. One of my favorites.
Pentagon Wars 1998
Kelcey Grammer plays a General trying to put into production a defective tank as the inspector Cary Elwes is trying to determine if its safe for the battlefield. Despite its serious tone its very funny to watch the shadiness of the characters as they maneuver around each other. I enjoyed this film a lot.
Tin Cup 1996
Kevin Costner doesn't strike most as a comedic actor but he was perfect as a golf range pro who tries one more time to be a real pro to impress a woman and show up his professional rival. Cheech Marin steals every scene he is in. Such a fun and hilarious film.

#6 Defendor is a comedy? Sure, if you like your comedy to BREAK YOUR FUCKING HEART. Seriously though, it's a great film.
FunkypinkPat
I love that movie and yes it will break your heart
KidMiracleman
It's a sad movie not a comedy. And it's got a great ending song: https://youtu.be/KtA7YIFapnY

I'm a huge fan on Dave and Tin Cup. I used to watch them both all the time. Might have to break them out again.
SaintMaceToTheFace
Dave was good
JayWski
Hero was great. I stumbled across it one day while looking for something to watch. Very, very pleasantly surprised by it.
matlocke
Up vote for Pentagon Wars. Note that it's based on a true story which makes it both funnier and somewhat depressing.
ThelostWorldofAtlantis
Whoever hasn't watched Dave must not have a mom, because every mom of adult children I know loves that movie
rocostarr
Goon is great, highly underrated. I remember watching Hero when I was child, I have to watch it again.

Tin Cups. Also, if you enjoy Clue, you should check out Murder by Death. Similar set up. 1976 send up of the noir genre.

Practically a documentary.
Iaimtomisbehave
It was based on Burton's book: http://www.defencejournal.com/2002/may/pentagon.htm . The book is excellent, and frightening.
Oddux
Neat. Sounds like one for the reading list. Danke.

Don't mean to be a smartass, but the Bradley isn't a tank. It did kill more armored vehicles than the Abrams during the Persian Gulf War tho
wassamattayu
that's not a bradley behind him though. they made one up for the movie

Slammin salmon yes!
likeminded
Captain Ron is one of my all time faves! Glad it's getting some respect!
SerialChillinSpree
Rotten Tomatoes has it at 21%. Tought crowd.
likeminded
The theme song alone should make it a winner.
KharnApproves
Proof as to why you shouldn't trust rotten tomatoes. Captain Ron is a goddamn delight.
SerialChillinSpree
If I'm not where I want to be career wise in 1-2 more years - I'm 90% chance of packing it up and becoming yacht crew or something. Inspired
KharnApproves
I have seriously considered it. They actually do pretty well from what I understand.
prilldomon
I'm 30 and have worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years. Slammin Salmon is the funniest (and most true) movie depicting employees
jenmovies
I only lasted 10. I tip my hat to you!
PaleBundy
Slammin' Salmon was kind of a weak showing from the Broken Lizard guys.
spareseatonmyface
Michael Clarke Duncan was hilarious in it though. A shining light in an otherwise poor movie.
PaleBundy
He really was the best part.
dissectional75
They made a shitton of movies and Super Troopers was the only one I enjoyed.
francisdolarhyde
No need to downvote this, dang.
InternetGoodGuy
I liked Beerfest. But 2 good movies out of all they have made is a bad ratio.
DidYouTryTurningItOffAndOnAgain
I wish I could give you more than just one up vote. That movie was horrible IMO.
TWKElectronics
Soooo bad.

Flames, on the side of my face
ARandomStranger2020
Fun fact: apparently Madeline Kahn totally ad-libbed that scene
bandicootsnoochieboochies
Another good one with a very similar tone is Murder by Death. It's a little older, but it's really good and cheesy.

TheEmperorsTrueChampion
This comment made me laugh and feel sad at the same time. I have some questions also. Like why are you at a chilis while in mexico? (1-2)
TheEmperorsTrueChampion
Thats like being at Pizza Hut while in Italy. Second, why are you alone and drunk at said Chili's?
MexicaninQatar

Agreed. Love this movie. I don't want a remake. It's not needed.

Clue is my favorite movie of all time. I was very disappointed when they took it off of Netflix.

ImaSithDuh
I think they are. And so does my boyfriend.
Dendrobates
I was under the impression that you were a dude.
TheGreatAku
You should watch Death By Murder. It's like Clue, but a little different. Has a ton of good one-liners in it.
QuicksilverFox
My mom and I quote the "I can feel it in my buns" bit to each other all the time. Still need to see the movie myself, though.
hayllyn
Murder by death is better IMO. Maybe just because it's been one of my favorites since i was old enough to request to watch things.
TheGreatAku
I like both for different reasons. Doesn't have to be a competition.
hayllyn
Fair. I still think it's better. That's the cool thing about opinions!
lovethepool
+1 for knowing a quality old movie! I feel so alone in loving those.
