4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My sentiments exactly! Take time for yourself on purpose, guard against burn out. Take care of you, your loved ones are counting on you.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, I feel that way even on days off. And I don't like waking up because my dreams are awesome. I'm not good at transitory states.

But you will likely get early alzheimer's disease.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey now, it's not that bad. You don't KNOW tomorrow will start.

4 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

If it doesnt I will finally get to rest

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same number of hours. You can just do your free time activities before they wake up. The people who jog at 5am do it because they like

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

jogging and hate people

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rage, rage against the dying of the night

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get wasted. Works for me.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm in this post and I don't like it

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow are modern concepts. Not long ago, we suffered in a long line of agony only punctuated by hours of oblivion.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think this way all the time

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sunday already!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every day... Still up at 2am despite being up for work at 5am... It's not good but I can't stop

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the way

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

My best hours are when I'm unconscious.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could be a better way though.

This is me, maxing my time during the week after the kids go to bed, and then on the weekend, I can't sleep in, kids to get up to and I 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 like I'm wasting my time off from work if I don't get up and make the most of it. This = me never catching up on sleep.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every day as a family man...

4 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 3

I literally tell my wife this. I stay up up sacrifice sleep just to decompress

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel this in my soul...

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Rage, rage against the dying of the light, my dudes

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Me and my husband every. Single. Night. Midnight rolls around “Why are we like this? We’re so stupid. Tomorrow night, in bed by 10”. Repeat.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

But there’s new episodes of What We Do in the Shadows and Rick and Morty!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, stay up to midnight watching Netflix/YT and wife asks why I don't go to bed earlier when I'm yawning in the morning.

Ever wonder if the hustle culture capitalism has glorified might be actually killing us

4 years ago | Likes 436 Dislikes 11

Thus the reason why Americans die astronomically from heart disease, hypertension, stroke, chronic GI tract issues, and the list goes on

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

The idea that you need to monetize your hobbies for a "side hustle" is capitalist propaganda. Just enjoy sewing or whatever.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never understood those who took pride in making work their whole life's purpose. It sounds miserable no matter how rich you are.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Don't wonder. Know it is.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't wonder- it is.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, never questioned it. It's definitely killing us

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Wonder. If I’m not dead before 35 I will be surprised

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost certainly. Not the only thing capitalism has killed/is killing either.

4 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

1. Teenager free time as they struggle to get into college. 2 Adult friendships. 3. Adult membership in clubs. 4 adult hobbies

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just ask south Korea. Their delivery drivers are on strike because they are actually dying from working 14hr shifts.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No, it really is.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm not wondering, I know it is.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Capitalism has always killed the workers. It's nothing new.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

i'm not even working right now though and I still do this. There is no reason I can't just shift the time I waste from 12am-3am to 8am-1pm.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

But then again so is listening to Celine Dion and people still do that recreationally

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Like for real though, sleep depravation is a big source of actual, measurable, long-term damage

4 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 1

I mean it's used as a form of torture so

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I just read "Why We Sleep." I didn't realize how much damage happens when you don't get enough sleep. It's scary

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? Shit.....

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Do what u can when u can. Hustle=money. You die when your dead

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 13

You die a lot sooner than that if you spend all your time working.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I doubt that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Stress causes illness more prevalently. Not to mention the psychological toll

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always know the balance

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

There isn't one in a culture of "work while you can" That is objectively without balance

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Always have a choice.
