I over heard him talking to another 80 something year old man how he was also in Korea when he was in the Army.... Without thinking about it, I said "hey I was in Korea too!" And he asked me where I was, and I said "Camp Casey" I could tell by the blank look on his face, that Clearly Camp Casey wasn't there when he was... But whats funny is, I could also read his mind and tell what he was thinking it was probably like, so I will show you.I did Mention it was near Tong Du Chong. He knew where that was. This prompted me to make this... I am pretty sure this is what he was thinking by the look on his face... Honestly I couldn't blame him.

My father in-law told me 3 guys on his squad killed themselves due to lack of blankets, tents, food, and too many bullets coming at them.

Korea is Disneyland for adults. I 100% would go back.

I've been to Camp Casey! My grandpa did a year long PMC job there and I got to spend the summer. I'm dying to go visit with my fiancé.

I was at Camp Stanley in 85/86. Hated it.

I'm in Korea right now. The only bad part about it is the skeevy American dudes who hassle me at night fishing for babes. Super disgusting.

"It wasn't Disneyland, son..." - Veteran probably

No, but it was Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, IL)

Yep, I was there too. 2nd ID, warriros handbook, Juicy girls, CRC, the home boy & II and fucking kimchee fields...loved it.

My dad was at Casey too. Not during KW though.. He has a lot of DMZ stories. Some not so happy like Operation Paul Bunyan.

But do they still give people helicopter rides?

Am I the only one who had the MASH opening credits theme going through their head when seeing the first image?

I'm not convinced it isn't a still from MASH.

Or you could have asked him? Recent posting? With faceytweets & clean water, better gear, sat phones, email, good food (maybe not this 1).

Slight chuckle

Did you guys have a log ride or a roller coaster?

"I could read his mind, and also tell what he was thinking too." Korean War gave you super power of assumption.

If he was there 50 years after the 80 year old, how did you come to the conclusion that he's 70...?

I was trying to work the Math myself...

It was spelled with a T originally, and for years after. Even then it was pronounced as a D. They changed it within the past 10 years or so.
