The guy got pissed on and he doesn't even hit the dog. And most post I find of this only use frames from the gif that make it look like he hit the dog.

Usually the shirt comes off before the fight. Unless you're pissed on.
MonsieurLeMoustache
I would be angry too... what's the point ? it's just a kick, it's not like he tried to hurt him badly

There's also another post where this guy felt bad about his actions & actually finds the dog & takes him in as a pet. That's being ignored

New rule. A dog that pisses on you chooses you as its owner.
HeyOP
So find it and link it? This post is the first I'm seeing of this. I can't say I'm outraged, but I also can't say I'm upset others are.

well, he was trying to kick a dog.If you attempt a crime, rape, bank robbery, and you don't succeed, you still get treated as if you succeeded.
RobErtE87
Because you sure as hell intended to succeed, you were not stopped by your own will.
username911
Really!!!!! you're comparing rape and bank robbery to kicking a dog.
HeyOP
No. He's saying failure to commit something that angers people won't convince them you're not an asshole for trying. That should be obvious.
CloakerJosh
I downvoted you mainly for your exclamation exuberance, but you also missed the point entirely.

If someone pissed on you deliberately would you punch them? Would you expect to get in trouble for it?
HeyOP
Dogs aren't people. If someone with the intelligence (and, here at least, physique) of a two year old pissed on you, would you punch them?
RobErtE87
if someONE pissed on me, clearly they would get a shove but I would be more concerned with getting as far away as possible from them
RobErtE87
Because if a human being pisses on someone, there's clearly something very wrong with them to the point where I don't want to touch them.
RobErtE87
on the other hand, if someTHING pissed on me, and it's in their nature to do so, without bad intentions, aka a dog, it's annoying, but no harm
RobErtE87
I would likely try to shoo them away verbally/gestically and if it was my own, I would try to make them not do it again.
HeyOP
1) Pissing on things is marking/ownership/dominance behavior. The dog wasn't exactly innocent. Maybe not worth a kick that could
HeyOP
2) break its back, but not without some "fuck you, buddy" in the spirit of it.
RobErtE87
The queston is, did this dog realize it's a human, not just some weirdly parfumed sack of fabric that smells unmarked? We can't ask the dog.
RobErtE87
So we can't assume that the dog knew what he did was wrong. I don't even know if dogs even mark living things, or just inanimate objects.
