So this actually happened to me. When I was a baby my mom made a Care-Bear for me (Night-time Bear), I had it with and even if I didn't sleep with it it was at least in my room till I was about 11. My parents were in the military and after being stationed in Scotland, we had to move back to the States. I lost this bear that I had since I was a baby during the move from Scotland back to the US. It broke my heart. Even though I knew I was too old for the bear I had a strong sentimental attachment to it as it was the one thing that lasted thru my young childhood. About 19(+/-) years later around when I turned 30 My sister (7yrs younger). Had gotten with my Mom and found the original material in my Mom's Large Sewing room. Together the recreated and had resewn a new Care-Bear for me. I was so moved I didn't know what to say. Moments of my childhood flooded my mind and it brought an awesome year to my eye. I have since given this Bear to my son (who was born 4 yrs ago) and he has slept with it ever since.

My security blanket, Squashed Green. Lost at a hotel on a vacation. Mom made a new one, but it wasn't the same. Even though it was the same.

My ability to be happy daily, lost that somewhere in my teens - it was replaced with a, "rusty blanket" (what I call my depression).

I lost my great-grandmother's engagement ring. I've been meaning to make a post and see if imgur can do its thing.

My wallet, passport and $500 euros that were stolen when I was mugged in Barcelona would be pretty sweet to get back
York13
did you ask if you could keep your passport? Seems like a dick move to take that
TheOnlyCanadianWhoDoesNotLikeHockey
I did not. Apart from the language barrier there was a knife being brandished and my money was in my passport pouch. Mugger seemed inahurry

trip insurance or credit card insurance should cover the loss, but losing a passport is such a pain in the ass so I've heard..
