Fallout PC Case Mod

Here are some inside pics for those that asked (couldn't modify this gallery). http://imgur.com/a/4U3D4

PC is a overclocked 2500k at 4.5 (5ghz capable). 8GB RAM. RAID SATA disks. R9 290.

To turn on the system you have to turn the key to the run position, squeeze the bare wires together and hold, then flip the safety switch on the front.

Moar battle damage!

This radiator is totally for sure and non-functional.

Closeup of radiator damage.

Keypad on the top does not function. Just for looks. Has a hard drive cage from an old server modified to make a hinged door to cover the keypad.

Keypad door opened.

Another front shot. Gauges are actual antiques from the 40s - 50s.

The fallout shelter sign is backlight so it lights from behind the torn up parts.

The red panic button is for reset button.

Yellow cold cathode lighting on.

Another shot.

Prepare for the future!

The knife switch at the bottom left controls the lighting (cold cathode).

The gauges were retrofitted with LEDs. One is solid green for power - flashing green for standby. The other is yellow LED for HD activity.

Better shot of the knife switch for lighting.

Top shot. All of these logos were painted on using stencils I had made with fallout logos.

Better shot of gauges.

Had to age the gauge on the right because it was in great condition despite being very old. The gauge on the left came looking awesomely aged.

Final shot. Again... if you want to see inside pics go here.

If you comment to whine about cable management.... I don't think you get the intended vibe of this mod.

Wow man that's fucking sick!

I know it's designed to look that way, but I'm cringing on the inside. It's cool and very effective.

should put a bobby pin in the key slot

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a great idea actually. To start it, you have to turn the key, then hold the bare wires together, and then flip the safety switch.

All you need now is a terminal-looking monitor.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Working on that and the keyboard / mouse. I'll have better / final pics when the whole thing is completed.
