As a person who teaches the occasional course: This is super easy to tell guys. No one looks at course notes on their laptop and smiles.

Maybe this is Hamburger Uni

I ignored all my lectures. I did record them with my phone. The info was on the whiteboards online. Only had to be there for attendance.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For me I was allowed to do my work early. I would do my entire semester first week but still had to show for attendance. Yeah I'd play too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The maccas employee reading the book is probably the person who's supposed to fix the soft serve machine.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that the McDonald's flash game

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

she getting skills she will actually use once she gets her art degree

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"- i dont get a fucking thing this dude is saying, better start practising"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I completely though she was playing Shadow Run at first.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can someone tell me what game that is? Asking for a friend

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is one of the Stand-o-Food games. There are 3, last I heard.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm either ashamed or proud to know that it appears to be Shopping Mania 3. Tho there are many, many other games like it.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Nope. Stand-o-Food.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

took up through calc in highschool. made me take algebra/pre calc in college. private schools suck....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I listen better if I can occupy myself with a simple game or a fidgeting tool or something like that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Paid no attention in school, barely bumbled through college, got an unstressful job with 0 supervision, play games at work, guess I'm lucky

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 5

Depends on what you want out of life

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Give it a few years and they will replace you with someone younger and then you have no marketable skills to talk about

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To be fair, there's a 50/50 chance she's majoring in a useless degree anyhow.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plot twist: she is a genius and OP is dumb.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Well... OP is using snapchat in class to make fun of another student for not paying attention, so there's a good probability.

People at UCSD do this all the time

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My university didn't give me my AP bio credit. Played Warcraft 3 in the back of class all first semester. Aced that shit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm browsing imgur while ignoring my lecture... I'm just gonna pretend I didn't saw this post...

8 years ago | Likes 361 Dislikes 19

Honestly, though, in general, if you won't pay attention, don't show up - you're just wasting your time.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must be ignoring your English professor.

8 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

"Ima done gone pretend I dun't saw this duh huh"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I was on Imgur during Maths lecture earlier and have a complete set of notes for the lecture. Maybe you don't belong in college :P

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

*see

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

Looks like Imgur is very serious about using the right tense, but I hope you all can forgive me. For my excuse, I only had 2 hours of sleep

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't saw you in English class, either.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*see. Pay attention in class.

8 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 6

My thoughts exactly lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Top ten dumb but funny anime characters

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

Maybe, just maybe, English isn't their first language.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You would be correct.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why are you paying for something you're ignoring? I hope you learn how to write before you graduate.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not. I'm in Europe, English is my 2nd language and considering I only used wrong tense while only having 2h of sleep, I think I'm fine.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remember that there are people who can do both tasks at the same time. Listening memory - what a frightening thing.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 9

I have to draw to pay attention, or play a mindless game to focus my thoughts (eg Tetris or bejewelled).

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, sure, whatever you C students tell yourselves.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

I graduated long time ago with good diploma. Working right now as Sysadmin in big pharma company here in sweden

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does "good diploma" mean "good grades"?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Science has hardcore shut down the brain's ability to multi task in any real way. Excepting only Some quiet music.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Why would science do that to our brains?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Multitasking helps some people focus is a better way to say it. A lot of people with adhd tend to self cope by multitasking without realizin

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

"Science"? Umm.. Wha-? Explain.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah u can google stuff like "multitasking disproven"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

.. That was not a clear way of wording yourself.. "Science has hardcore shut down the brain's ability to multi-task.."?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I multitask by being able to switch attention from one task to the next, but you're right, "real" multitasking has been disproven.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are people who think they can, but I'd wager most of them aren't nearly as good at it as they think.

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

you dont have to be good, you just have to be good enough

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are also those of us who forget everything after a week and must relearn everything prior to the exam as if we had never been taught

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

at which point attending the lessons is mostly worthless because fuck I don't remember how to do anything without textbooks / google

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can pretty easily do it. On the opposite side though if I try to take notes at the same time I pretty much don't remember anything.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

True, there are people who brag about being an multi tasker yet suck at it. While there are others who do it unconciously.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Im at work which is 60% imgur, 30%coffee, and 10% talking to strangers.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What do you do the other 20% of the time?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You skipped class, too?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nah, it works. Imgur and coffee can totally overlap. And if you comment, so do Imgur and talking to strangers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about pooping and imgur?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better than mixing pooping with either talking to strangers or coffee!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some gen ed classes are ridiculously boring

8 years ago | Likes 634 Dislikes 5

Like ridiculously so. If one cannot ace them whilst fucking about, they should seriously question whether college is for them.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Had to take a simple math class for college. Once it clicked, I remembered how to do it easily. Fought sleep the rest of the semester

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a prof who only talked about how great Negro Modelo was and how "hard" it was to find. It was at Wal-mart down the road.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They're meant to keep your debt to the university well rounded. Rounded way up there. Sky high.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My first computer class was mandatory. I didn't learn a thing a fucked off the ENTIRE time

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Idk if anyone else has to take it, but I had to take a "First-Year Seminar" that was supposed to help freshmen transition from highschool

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I took it my sophomore year because they forgot to sign me up for it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have that and it is the most BS class ever.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'm I'm grad school and we still have a weekly seminar but it's basically watching a different lecturer present a research topic each week

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For me it was a 1 credit class and it basically taught us how to do are homework. The worst part was attendance was part of your grade.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I had that too. I sat in this weird little area where the wall jut in so the teacher couldnt see me and slept. Did my assignments last day

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even High level major classes, if you are the freak who get that concept the first time. Read a book while the prof explains 3 more times.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some classes are weird.I literally skipped tests the first half of the semester for Strength of Materials, aced the final so he gave me an A

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I also only went to every class for the attendance credit and to hear what's on the tests that I mostly didn't take. Lots of doodling.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s mostly the professors, I had one that kept me hooked in statistics

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I'm in a statistics class now. The average attendance of the 200 person lecture is close to 15 people. I'm not one of them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Please help me learn statistics

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Passing out a bump of coke before lecture started was an unorthodox teaching method but his attendance rate was phenomenal!

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

You wanna wait till the end of class to hand out the coke otherwise guys are asking for seconds 15 minutes in

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My uni is enforcing attendance, but all the lecturers do is read the slides and all the slides are released on Moodle. What's the point?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why are you attending that University? Sounds like you're not getting a quality education.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Because I'm already two years into it, there's no backing out now. Besides, it was good until this year. It's the retarded new faculty head

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

making stupid decisions so he can micromanage everybody and pad out his CV.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully the quality changes after gen Ed bs

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alot are like that. Plus out of state gets even more expensive

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m not sure you’re supposed to be there for fun and excitement. There might be a different reason for getting an education.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Some general electives serve no purpose than to keep professors employed. I had to take an Art Appreciation class for my CompSci degree.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I for one have definitely had classes where I might as well have skipped the entire year and go straight to exams... Hell, we had a year >

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

> long class 2 hours a week in BASIC office use. Exam questions in the direction of "what does the save button do" MULTIPLE CHOICE.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Have you gone to university? Gen Ed is required before you get into the "fun" stuff that you are trying to get a degree in.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but not for fun, I went to get a degree so I could get a good job. Even classes that were useless, were necessary to get my degree.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yes. I get that. I'm saying some gen eds are a joke.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most are, but necessary to get the credit. It’s a means to an end, you suck it up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had to take a class called "I'm so busy" that was for time management. An entire semester of "work before play." Could have done without.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My "College Mathematics" teacher in my CJ program tried to tell us we needed to understand advanced trig for patrol duties. Na. I'm good fam

8 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 5

He doesn't make the curriculum and wants to keep his job. It's only natural that he tries to rationalize that he's not useless?

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Nah. This was a bit beyond that. It was a basic math course that stretched into basic algebra and a little geometry for equations. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He just wanted to show off. He was a lot like that. Didn't explain shit, just worked the problems himself on the board and couldn't answer?s

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fam as family?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Fam means famoroa .

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

CJ majors are ride or die

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fam is a very common surname in vietnam. Alternatively spelled Pham. (While true, this is also bullshit.)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
