It's another meaningless slang term, which in this context basically means "I have to admit, she rocked that outfit." Like, I never liked "slay, girl," but at least it made sense. "She killed it in that outfit" actually means something, but "she ate" is just a blanket term for complimenting someone now.

He was a human like any of us, but he chose to live the life he lived and do the things he did, which have consequences. If he wasn't shot and just ended up financially ruined and not heard from again I'd be content. I have no sympathy for the unsympathetic shithole people who preach death for others but get killed.
