So glad to see this approach to painting. Still recall primary school and going for detail in small sections vs roughing out the scene then filling in, and getting kinda put off after being told off for not doing much at the end of the period.

where I grew up there was a library over the firehouse that was all dark and cosy and musty with age, and before I finished highschool they'd moved it to new construction off the municpal building, with a huge echo-y atrium all brightly lit with sunlight and flourescents, and it was like an Extrovert coming home, opening all the shades, turning on all the lights and radio and television, and saying to introvert roomie, " so how was your day?"
