Ever since high school my buddy and I have loved coming up with wild business ideas. We finally decided to sent it and purchase a teardrop with hopes of renting it out! Here is The Forest Cottage in all of her glory. ~Oh la la~

This is a direct look into the galley. She's got a running sink, two burner stove, and fully equipped kitchen.

A perfect weekend escape for you and yours. Oh baby, so cozy!

Juicy shot of the porthole window.

Doin' a little reading. What books would you bring?

They say don't mix friends and business. We say f**k that!

What is a business without a sexy logo huh?

Thanks a billion for checkin' us out! We are stationed out of West Marin in the Bay Area and would love love love to hear your feedback.

I don't like the idea of rv camping, but a tear drop seems like the perfect compromise

That looks pretty cool. But apparently my childhood has made me a judgmental asshole about camping styles. Damn.

Different strokes for different folks :D

Best of luck to you anyway!

Hey, Teardrop Rental is the name of my emo band!

Solid band name ya got there!

What you guys should really do is revision the teardrop design and let your imaginations run wild. Build em and they will buy them.

Not a bad idea!

How much water does its container hold?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The water container holds 5 gallons.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If this teardrop's a rockin...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You best not be knockin'!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Id love to try it out and leave an honest review! For free, of course

They're a blast! We hope so too ^_^

I had a similar idea but with a bus, any interest in hearing it?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shoot!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's no way I'd ever cook where that cooktop is at. I'd set it up on it's own stand away from the trailer. It catches fire, you're F'd.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

First thing I did was look up where it's at. Not quite close to me, but that's the reaction I imagine you're looking for.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad it moved you to action!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This doesn't "Sponsored" but it's clearly an ad. Good job OP

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Just cause it’s an ad doesn’t mean it’s sponsored! But you’re not wrong, I had the same thought.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Just letting the world know we launched :D

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

So, can I advertise my business on here too?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Does your business do anything interesting?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Thought imgur didn't upvote adverts for businesses?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Have fun steamcleaning semen out of the mattress pad.

"Tiny times"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"micro-business'? That sounds like investor-bait. Good on ya

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ya, no, this is 100% an ad. Also, @op, how much money do you make on renting one of these? Do you insure it? What if someone breaks it?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Just trying to share a passion project :D Going rates are 65 weekday, 80 on the weekends, and guests fill out liability waivers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

*also,I'm not against ads, this is well done. Just an interesting tactic.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ah, gotcha. Well thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Get someone good at social media! Youve got a great concept that'll take off if done right. Not a hobby person but a professional if pssble!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We're on it! Good call.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got the plans for building the teardrop from a popular mechanics years ago and I really want to build one!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should go for it!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Two thumbs all the way up :D

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many teardrops do you have in the fleet?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just the one for now. We plan on acquiring 1-2 more by the start of the summer.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Nice! Yeah keep re-investing and scale up if it keeps being successful! Super cool idea.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's the plan! Thanks for the encouraging words :D

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

National Park's here I come. Oh and Walmart parking lots for that free overnight

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yellowstone is callin' ya, friend.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yellowstone is the dream. Ive already been to almost all southeast park units.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who needs Walmart when you have BLM land and National Forest land?? Look it up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

East Coast so no BLM land here but we do have forest land.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you buy this and are renting it out? Do you have a bunch of them or just the one?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Bought it and are now renting. Just the one as of now - plans are to get 1-2 more in the near future.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where did you buy it?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone who helps manage rental property... Be careful! You wouldn't believe how little people care when they don't own it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check to see if you can find insurance for these things in case they get stolen or destroyed. Hopefully it won't break the bank.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like your take on glamping! Keep it up. I'd rather see the tear drop at a campsite than a RV

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Hey thanks! Appreciated.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Plans on expanding outside of California?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We've tossed the idea around - Oregon, Washington, and Colorado have come up in conversation.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd add New Mexico. Lots of people come to visit only. Been here over a year and parks are almost always full and the same for hotels

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Smart idea, we will definitely keep that in mind.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have a teardrop. We love it. It’s cake to pull and you can move it into position by hand. Just watch out for inclines

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right on! *fist bump* We love it too, piece of cake to move around.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Did you build it?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The one in the pic on this post isn’t ours. We have a t@g by little guy. Same concept though. A bed and a outdoor galley. Tiny and simple

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cool.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

only in cali..

8 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 4

for some reason I read only in call and was suddenly very concerned

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

All too true.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Why?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cause of good weather and a warming open fire places cosuming areas bigger than NY

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Anywhere else you'd just borrow a friend's camper, or, you know, do real camping.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

what's real camping? chasing a wild elk through the woods on all fours sleeping on the ground with nothing but a blanket, going fishing and

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

foraging for wild edble potatoes and celery and using river water to make a stew using the vegetables you just found and the elk you just

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

tackled and cleaned before serving it to your party, so that you might regain some strength for the following day, before the elk population
