It took almost a full year of waiting...
...and hunting parts. Than some more parts I didn't know about.
But here it is.
Shimano Ultegra Di2. Bontrager 50mm carbon wheels. TRP mechanical disc brakes. All on a 2022 Trek Madone SLR frame.
einsteinisbae
awesome stuff. now go ride the shit out of it and explore new places together

Amazing bike
rebelhead
I also am into road cycling. That's an amazing ride.

Thank you!
ricekickJR
Looks sweet. Can i take it for a spin around the block? >.>
11Weasel11
Absolutely not!?
Slash5
Mechanical disks are an odd choice for a high end build.
11Weasel11
I'd like to say something cool, like, they are lighter. Honestly it was the only group set I could get at the time.
einsteinisbae
that is very fair, bleeding hydraulics are a mess. also feel you on the parts shortage, been waiting to buy a cassette for months
MiningOx
How often do bike riders get hit by cars?
11Weasel11
Well, i live in a large urban area not known for it's traffic safety.... So, often. Both my wife and i have been hit and hospitalized.
DickSoup
Why Di2? Not criticizing. I own a 2021 Madone SL7. But curious. Most seem 2 think the full electronic setup is the way to go. Nice bike BTW!
einsteinisbae
once you go electronic. can't go back. just so crisp and never misses a shift.

Og di2 with dura ace for me. Still works awesome
DickSoup
Agreed. My current bike is Di2 which I like better than sram. But to each his own.
DickSoup
And BTW, your chain ring looks like it’s hurting.
11Weasel11
It's oval. It's supposed to be like that. Lol. I wanted Sram e tap, but parts shortage. Di2 does shift faster than wireless at least.
K1d1caru5
I got elliptical q rings love them. Instant torque. Would do oval never do circle again.
11Weasel11
Yeah. I use Absolute Black chainrings, but same thing. I will also never go back to round rings.
