Medium rare, of course.

I am a champion of steak and obscenely proud of myself.

Dog tax (She helped me polish of that bone.)

Edit: Who knew all it took to make front page for the first time was some quality meat? Thanks for the birthday wishes, it hasn't felt like a birthday much this year and you all have been amazing!

Don’t let it be your last

I did this for my 30th a few years back. Went to a butcher and got a fresh cut 1 inch cut. Best damn porterhouse I've ever had.

Trivia: in Oz we call this a T-bone, and the sirloin part is called a porterhouse.

I'm surprised you had enough time to finish that on your thirty second birthday...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How can you be a champion of steak and never had a porterhouse in 32 years?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happy Birthday, friend! hope it was tasty

Can I come to your party? Sounds like a truly enjoyable day. I'll bring a good Scotch.

Whole? Or just half?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks like the right ratio of meat to potato. 8-)

dad was a butcher, freezer full of all cuts of meat, i was sick of steaks, would trade steaks like this to cousins for cheeseburgers.

Texas Roadhouse?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honestly that looks like a waffle house steak to me.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yep Roadhouse with two made-from-scratch sides

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

their rattlesnake bites are pretty awesome.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I should fucking hope they didn't go to a restaurant. Are people actually doing that now?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They did.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The roadhouse I used to work at is open at half capacity right now. Allowing guests with groups no larger than 7 to come in.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hope its a meal worth dying/killing for.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Right, I've since left the job because I disagree that there dining area should be open. We head the record high virus count yesterday?‍♀️

How do afford? Meat has skyrocketed I think when it's even in stock at the store I usually go to. Chuck roast over 20 bucks now

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really, where? I just bought 2 chuck roasts for 11$ a piece.

Whoa there’s still plenty of meat on that bone. You take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you got a stew going.

I kept waiting for a similar line throughout The Mandalorian. Best he got was the "magic hand thing".

Well, I couldn't rightly deprive that cute dog a meaty bone.

The only correct response, right there.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah ok, that’s acceptable ;)

5 years ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 3

You shouldn't give cooked bones to dogs, they can splinter and pierce or shred their mouthes or intestines

5 years ago | Likes 146 Dislikes 10

This is a rare steak, that bone is not cooked.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

But also congrats! Hope you enjoyed it :)

I came here to make this comment.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did not know this. Thank you.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is that true with steak bones too? They usually aren't cooked as thoroughly as say a roasted chicken

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes it is. Some bones are okay if you boil them for long, but i don't remember from which animal.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don’t know why this got downvoted, you are completely correct

5 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 5

The dogs are down voting. They want it anyways ?

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Yah, one of my dogs ended at the vet after a bone splintered. I thought it was only chicken bones but they told me it was like clay being

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Fired. Soft if raw, hard and brittle after. So no more cooled bones for my bubs.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Also no Weight bearing raw bones as they are too dense and can break teeth!
