#35 In high school English class one day, our teacher was discussing Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. "So what happened was, Big Julieβ¦"
[laughter from class]
teacher: what
Julie: My friends call me Big Julie. [because she was in fact tall]

#7 I'm old enough to know this must be from a Sesame Street picture book. That's Slimey in the orange, originally the pet of Oscar the Grouch.
ETA: HOLY SHIT by googling to check if Slimey was Oscar's pet not roommate, TIL years after I aged out of Sesame Street apparently Slimey started to TALK?! WTF?!
Telemapus
ETETA: Futher procrastination I mean googling reveals this picture could be of Slimey's parents, Dusty Worm and Eartha Worm. Eartha Worm you guys. Ha.

#1 But would you sit upon them... or hang from them? Imagine like a flock of 1000 ladies... at dusk... silent but for the swoosh of their skirts and the slap-slap-slap of... wait what I am I doing?

Knifesmith
Just want to point out that your imagery made my brain envision a flock of 1000 women at dusk, roosting in trees, hanging upside down, wrapped in labia, and slowly unfurling flaps, to fly off in search of food...

Going by my own experience, you're far from alone.

#2 i used to date a lady who was like this. She came from an Italian background, so the macho man was her ideal. She asked me what my favorite pokemon is. It's Ponyta. Apparently, the horse that's on fire isn't manly enough, so I just told her that I'm so manly I need some stuff to pull me back.
Telemapus
Or you could have told her Ponyta is your mother's favourite pokemon, and is superior to HER favourite pokemon. She would have respected that.
HandsomePenguin
If this is a reference, I do not understand it. If it is advice, I also do not understand it.
Telemapus
You said she was Italian?
HandsomePenguin
Pointing out one of the two things about my comment that could point to a reference does not in any way help me get the reference.
Beezlebubble
In Italian culture, mom is above everyone else. If your favorite was your mom's favorite, because you love ya ma, she'd respect it

#15 I haven't really seen anyone complain about "manspreading" in a while...probably because it is literally the result of biological differences.
JayDeeDubs
Oh, it is fucking not. No one sits like this out of testicular necessity. Balls are not that big.
cuddleskunk
I am a fat guy with large testicles. That is a bit extreme for sure, but I had someone complain about it with me when my legs were HALF as far apart as that guy.
HandsomePenguin
Good thing you brought it up just so you can be ignorant about it.
cuddleskunk
It's not ignorance. I have large testicles...and sitting as tightly as were expecting is literally painful and unhealthy. I'm not alone in this. "Mansplaining" stuck around for a while because it was a real problem...brilliant women, experts in their field, talked down to by morons who think that women are inferior. I stand up for anyone's rights to sit in a way that does not require them to crush parts of their own anatomy.
HandsomePenguin
Okay, but sitting with your legs slightly apart to not crush your boys isnt the same thing as man-spreading.
cuddleskunk
Yeah...tell that to the three different people who complained about it to me on 2 busses and a train.
HandsomePenguin
If you say so.
