You should have fit a picture of a cat but I guess there wasn't mush room

You know what they say about mushroom foraging… they are all edible at least once.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh man I bet the foraging is going to be great after the showers we've been having this week. I'll need to find some good foraging spots around the bay.

Looks like a great week!

#2 Not many people realize that Scotsmen start as just a sporran. If harvested at this stage in Scotland, be sure to leave some on the tree so that it can continue to grow into a Scotsman. In California its okay to take the whole sporran.

We've had so many wildfires, year after year where I live. The morels grow everywhere. I just wish winter wasn't the better part of 8 months.

The tree pussy was my favorite mushroom on display. I’ve never seen one around here but I recognize some of the others from my backyard! (Not that I would ever be brave enough to forage them lol)

Thank you for being another human being who goes on vacation and half the photos are fungi. I went to Alaska and did the same.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you ever look up?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Horn of plenty/trumpet of death are so damn good. I'm always very happy when I find them.

Great post OP! I just spent like the last 20 min perusing your life that you share on Imgur, and wow -- you seem pretty cool!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks mang! My mom told the story about how the first time I went to the beach she set me down and I ran in straight over my head lol, been running ever since!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#37 now that's something Druidic

Cover photo for the Modern Druid magazine

lol I just commented on another one that it just needs candles, a skull, an animal skull, runes and sigils, hanging wards, and a cauldron, and it's fully functional.

I think every Pagan would dream to have a lil magical nook like this. It looks so frickin cozy and whimsical.

after storing all that you gathered, you won't have mushroom left...

2 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

Mush room😂😂 I just got it how the hell did I miss that one?

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

When these types come up they are everywhere and by the time you find them they've done their job and dropped the spores, there are plenty and I mean plenty left.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

...That was a pun

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Cool lol, I thought you were trying to rain on my parade but the rain would bring more mushrooms then you could rain again then more shrooms it never would have ended

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I didn't make the pun lol

Ok now I'm lost in the woods lol

Cauldrons are overrated. Do you know how HEAVY those things would be?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure do, lol. They are very, very, very sacred. They are a really big symbol for witches - I have a little one.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just can't imagine ever putting it somewhere more than five feet from where it was cast.

Looks like home.. God I miss living in Ukiah. NorCal is heaven on Earth

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep I'm over on Clear Lake

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depending on what part, I usually refer to lake county as a 1-tooth town lol

It's still absolutely gorgeous out that way though, just no giant redwood forests, sadly.

For a long time, that was the largest man-made lake in North America

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was never the largest man made lake it is the oldest lake in North America. People love to talk trash about Lake county I say keep talking that's why I can afford a couple houses on the lake lol. It's beautiful here.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is beautiful, but while I was growing up and in my early twenties, it was the meth capital of NorCal. No idea if that's changed.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya there are still remnants, you go out in the woods need to drive around the trash getting way better and just depends where you're at. I live in the Keys no issues

Watched a lot of good shows over at Kobocti, 3 doors down, staind, 3 days grace, even nickelback in the early 00s (before they were universally hated).. favorite shows were Foreigner and Styx - they played indoor and it was probably one of the top-3 shows I've ever been to.

Heard they shut down like 15 years ago or something like that. Not the casino, I just mean the venue for performances.. don't know if it's true or not though. Do you?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They reopened o couple years ago hoping they start having big names again!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That would be awesome.. that was pretty much the only place that really serviced rural far Northern California before you got up to like eureka/arcata, or Sack'o'tomato .. but that place sucks lol

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beautiful! Where were you at? I grew up in the Mendocino area, my family lives now between Gualala and Philo. I go out to visit every year. (We also harvest lovely fungi to eat from the woods). For my money, there is no lovelier place on earth, I am planning on moving back there in a couple of years.

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It would be great if it had jobs and better roads. The redwood curtain was too isolating for me.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What a beautiful area! I lived and worked in Point Reyes for a season and it was one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been. If you’re reading this and have never visited, make this your next vacation!

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

When you move back or visit hmu! I spend most of my time on the lake it's my happy place. You fish?

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Haven't in ages, but hell yeah I just might, when I move back out there I will be lookingfor buddies! Ya aren't that far away from where I am planning to settle down. (Point Arena).

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm always cruising around taking day trips too!

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I live on Clear Lake best fishing anywhere! Got these shrooms below FT Bragg I am so in love with this area moved up here 7 years ago I walk around like I'm in a dream

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Aw hell yeah I was up in salt point today in the rain. It was lovely. Lots of matsutake plus the winter trio.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been eyeballing that area for a while. What hot springs are those? I'm familiar with Harbin Hot springs, but that looks different

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Clear (fucking) lake. I live in central Cali and me and my wife go up there every valentines day... cuz it's so picturesque. Walk on my friend. Enjoy!!!

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love it up here!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nowhere else like it, you have ended up in a good place indeed. Here is the view from my mom's living room (near Gualala)

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice! I can feel the peace lol

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No sounds but the gentle creak of the trees...it is a hell of a place to be.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you ever drive through Philo I recommend stopping here (shameless plug for my families restaurant).
