hey imgur, im so hurt right now

meet my little brother shayden, this kid meant the entire world to me. on november 10 at about 11 PM, he was hit by a pickup truck while riding his bike home from 7eleven. he was on the phone with our mom when all of a sudden she heard through the phone "oh no no no" and the line went dead. i went looking for him and drove about a block away where i saw 10 or so cars surrounding a person in the street, and much to my surprise, there lied my baby brother (the guy who hit him ran him over and then sped off and tried to get as far away as possible). i rushed over and i held his bloody hand and wiped away sweaty hair as i heard sirens approach and told him i loved him and that he was gonna be okay..... unfortunately, everything was not okay. after being rushed to the hospital, they tried to get him into stable condition for about 2 hours so he could be medflighted to a trauma hospital about 40 minutes away. after struggling to get him stable for a while, at 1:30 AM, he went into emergency surgery. we sat in the waiting room for what seemed like weeks, but after 5 hours of surgery, his body gave out and his heart stopped.....i lost my best friend. the picture above is so beautiful to me because it didnt matter what color your skin, what you looked like, big/small, this kid always made sure that you knew you were loved. he had an amazing 13 years here, and hes in a better place now, whether that be valhalla, or heaven, or wherever.....i know its a better place. my family and i have struggled money-wise for several years now, so we started a gofundme so we can have a service as beautiful as his life was. if you would like to donate even a nickel, we would be forever grateful https://www.gofundme.com/shaydens-memorial
