Hahaha I knew that would come back to haunt me. I didn’t actually do it. That post was aimed at 1 person that treated me like shit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are cool. Just pretend people are you friends and start talking to them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hang in there , brother... message if u need to talk, no worries, no judgement...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so, are you bragging?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. I’m bragging that I’m lonely. Don’t you want to be me?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is it, the title says you feel down but you end it by saying you don't give a shit...?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Sad that he isn't capable of giving a shit anymore?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No I meant I shouldn’t give a shit. Guess I didn’t articulate correctly

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you don't care then what's the problem?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Goddamn I wasn’t expecting this to be seen so much tbh. Thanks for all the support. Just hitting a rough patch I think. Plot twist:

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I’m actually a girl haha

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Buy a mansion in Scotland. Live alone for 50 years. Yell occasionally at kids. Profit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If only... lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jujitsu or something? I’ve never seen a gym of people who aren’t genuinely bonded. Martial arts does that to people, never too old to learn

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve always wanted to try that but the funds are low. It’s super expensive in SoCal

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For classes and clothes? Surely it can’t be that expensive

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hi! *waves*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hi! :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wanna be friends?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure! Pm me?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Film yourself lifting stuff, say your place is haunted, you'll make a killing!

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I’ve thought about doing that but I’m super shy and can’t bring myself to put myself out there like that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could get a friend to host it, but you're invisible so no one will be able to see you, it's a win/ win!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man there are a lot of these posts on here. Idea, all of you should start communicating and possibly some of you find friends!?!?!?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think that’s what we’re all trying to passively do but we’re all introverted af

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hellooooo??!, ..._imgurrrr_!! ;-)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True...connecting directly I should have said

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

indeed. I gotcha, sorry for being that way :-) Couldn't pass it up

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

mostly to do that jack sparrow imitation in my head really

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Op, have you thought about volunteering somewhere? Even if its just a couple hours per week. It is great therapy and gets you meeting people

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That is a great idea. I tend to do this awesome thing where I get depressed and just dwell on it. Working on not doing that

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do volunteer work twice a week and its the best choice i ever made. Got me out of the house, interacting with people and i learn a lot 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive changed so much since starting it. Im so much more confident because of it. Have a look round locally and see what you can find :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will def do that. Do you have any recommendations for a good way to start? Or what to look for?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See if theres anything that interests you. If there is then drop them an email and explain that youre looming to do some volunteering 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plenty of ways OP. Have a hobby? Hang out where others do it. Regular a pub a few nights a week and you'll meet people. Imgur is a good strt

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I'm 27 and my hobby is knitting and crochet, I don't like the pub scene but it would be nice to meet people younger than 60.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried knitting and really enjoyed it but it took to damn long and I lost patience. I have a half of a scarf in my closet from 3 yrs ago

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds about right, I have more half finished projects than I care to admit

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it’s because we live in an instant gratification society. We want everything to be down now not later

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the advice. Don’t mean to sound shitty but I’m not really good at anything and have a kid so bars during the week don’t work lol

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do something together with your kid where you van meet other dads.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mom here. I’ve tried to talk to other moms at school and stuff but here in SoCal they’re kind of... not very nice...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mom here too. It's not just SoCal. Mom's are the most judgmental bullies I've met, even here in Canada.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t get it. Doesn’t everyone want friends and to be accepted deep down? What do you gain from being a bitch to other moms ya know?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel the same way @Op. 30 years old and only 3 friends, two of which live in other states now, and the one in the same town is a homebody.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I moved around a lot my whole life so never developed long term friends. Now everyone has long term friends that they would rather chill wit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lots of people move around and have no problem making new friends from work or from some hobby. My hobby is softball, and my softball 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 “buddies” and I don’t hang out after the season is over... Winter season sucks hard for me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I know. Making friends has always been very difficult for me. Not sure why

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Groups. There are tons of ways to join activity groups. You are doing a thing, and can meet people as the side deal. Meetup is a good option

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also, start by listening and then making a small comment of understanding. Dig what they are saying if it's at all interesting. /1

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Show happiness that they have shared. /2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the advice. I like to think I’m a good listener lol but I think ppl get bored of me. When I make friends they don’t last long

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

real friendship is rare bro. Never hurts to check your own game though. I know I talk WAY too real a lot. /1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

'How are you doing?' usually gets a true answer. Gotta keep working on that ;-) /2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You might need to take a more active role in your life instead of just passively letting your days go buy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. I completely agree. As stupid as it is I just want people to like me but I’m so paralyzed by fear that they won’t that I do nothing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just be nice and friendly. Can’t make people like you. But that should keep them from disliking you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Easy to be passive. Do what we are told at work. Get home veg out in front of the tv. Whatever your kid wants. And you get in that habit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I definitely think that’s what’s happening. I’ve fallen into a routine that I’m not happy with.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good luck getting out of it. Make a few decisions on your own and follow through with them. Should help.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you I really appreciate it
