Some of my homemade tastiness

German Beef Rouladen

Veal Steak with a red wine reduction and 'shrooms

The good 'ol Ragu alla Bolognese
Family's favourite. I prefer to make it without carrots, red wine or celery (I hate celery)

Bruscetta with slightly molten mozarella
My favourite snack for the movies

Heavy beef soup with veggies and (again) Bruschetta as a side

Chimichangas!

Pork/Beef meatballs with a cream sauce and (store bought, self seasoned) french fries
Yes, those were store bought, frosted fries. Though I always buy them unseasoned and make my own. You can get really fancy with it and pretty much throw anything at them that tickels your fancy. Get creative! The family loves them.

Lyoner-Pan along with some cucumber salad (crème faiche dressing)
National dish in Saarland. Lyoner is essentially a sausage made mostly of slaughterhouse waste. Sounds inedible, but, trust me, if done correctly is very good. Even better if seared in a pan or roasted over a fire.

Creamy ground pork with veggies tossed with some pasta.

The famous "Strammer Max"
One of my original home's (bavaria) classic. Naturally without Onions, but it really adds to it. It's basically a fried egg on some fried ham on fried bread, all seasoned merely with salt and pepper. Don't save on butter on this one.

Another Classic: "Carbonara"
With fresh pancetta

Oven roasted leftovers
I had some Bratwurst, chickenthighs, potatoes and cherry tomatoes laying around. I sliced the thighs so they'd be done at roghly the same time as the sausages, because I had to pre-fry the sausages so I could cut them. Came out really well. It's a nice dish for cold and rainy days.

Nürnberger Bratwurst, fried eggs and mashed potatoes

Bacon-Cheese-Sticks
God I had these things torn out of my hands at the office! You make these by making (or buying) puff pastry, which you lay flat on a baking sheet. Then what you want to do is lay thinly sliced bacon strips on it and sprinkle with chese. Then put it in the freezer for 10 minutes and then cut the pastry along the bacon strips. Now you twist the strip lengthwise and repeat until all strips are twisted. The freezying eases your cutting, and twisting so feel free to repeat. Put it in a 200°C oven until golden. Let them cool down until you can't resist them anymore.

Bud's Baked Bacon Beans
In honour of Bud Spencer

Pasta aglio e olio with chorizo

Bagon, eggs and garlic bread
... the sod-off-breakfast

Chinese-Style curry with rice noodles
That stuff cured my interest for coriander. Yuk!

My own (overly lit) burger
The first time I made a burger all from scratch. Was very good, allthough I'm still working on my bun recipe. Yes, there are no pickles, but the bacon makes up for it.

Schnitzel cut in strips with a cream sauce and wild rice

Again a heavy beef soup with noodles

Sliced chicken breast in a spicy curry sauce (again) with wild rice

Fresh breakfast

Classic lasagna

Käsespätzle with Bacon
Spätzle are a south german noodles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwn97mpBCu8). Here they are with swiss chese, fried onions and bacon.

Deboned chicken thighs cut into strips and fried with some vegetables. Quick and tasty

A take on replicating chinese takeaway food
Failed. That big brown thing is a Mu Err mushroom. The picture is better than the dish was.

Fried chicken breast with a selection of different mushrooms on pasta

Salmon in green
Salmon with spinach, green beans, different herbs in bechamel

Pizza for the wife, me and mini me

Pasta aglio e olio with shrims
Suprisingly the aglio e olio did not lay too much over the taste off the shrimps. Very good.

Pork chops with a pan sauce
... and the secret spice-mix

Jambalaya inspired pan

Schnitzel. What else to say?

Deboned chicken thighs with a light curry
One of my recent favourites. Those are deboned chicken thights that are filles with ginger and garlic. Tied together with a string, lightly seasoned (inside and out) and, after a quick sear in the pan, fried in the oven. The sauce is some stir-fried onions carrots, curry and cocosmilk, finished with some chinese cabbage

A (soo-to-be) wrap

Tartar with raw onions
If you're not planning to kiss or talk to anyone for the rest of the week

Salmon with a bread crust and fried potatoes
The bread crust is just dry bread crumbs with butter and some salt and pepper. Goes really well on basically any type of fish

I really appreciate the sides. Sometimes the main is so much effort that people slack on sides. Great job with attention to detail.
