Declassified, defunded, dismantled. Trump wipes out war crimes data, slashes HIV prevention, and erases FTC guidance—while judges block his transgender military ban and EPA cash grab. Roberts rebukes impeachment talk, and Nebraska voters erupt over Musk, Ukraine, and Medicare cuts.

Another day, another step towards insanity

Assuming he leaves at the end of his term, this administration is crippling the government and setting us back half a century. The next POTUS will be mired in just getting us moderately functional.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing wrong with ending the task force that prevented 1000+ white wing terrorist plots, when your goal is to enable them.

Fuck me.

Hey, folks. Punching no longer is enough to stop nazis.

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Gutting anti-domestic terrorism agencies means it will be easier to revolt and assassinate members of state.
Not saying anyone should do it, but its curious that he would shoot himself in the foot like this. Isnt that putting him in danger?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Trump reality cares about no one but himself. You don't want to get HIV/Aids then Trump is "I don't care.". You have your children kidnapped by Russia, even being an open case in the ICC, then Trump again is "I don't care.". It is hard to name a more evil person these days who lacks empathy for victims.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

100% lack of empathy. It's how autocrats can rule.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep it up, I send these out every day, greatly appreciated.

Fantastic! Thank you for amplifying it.

Left out that the Turkish dictator just had his opponent arrested on made up charges

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The shock and awe tactics are really working. How can anyone keep up with the speed all this shit is coming out? The news coverage there is can't keep up with it all. They have to cherry pick what they can talk about.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

100%. That's why this started in my family group chat. And it was clear from the early days on social when people here and elsewhere were saying, "Wait, I watch the news. I didn't hear anything about that!"

#1- Because he's a liar.

#10 - Surrounds himself with only the best people, likemeinded is more precise.

#12 - Exactly what scum with no empathy would do.

Again, this seems appropriate to put in this thread

Soo fucking tired of this shit!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thanks again my friend. I dunno how you do it. It kills me sharing it each day with friends, family and a few discords. It just keeps getting worse. =\

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Unique set of supports, I guess. And this loving community. :)

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please keep doing these. I was looking for and still haven't found a website or a book that listed everulyday of trumps first presidency. This looks as close as I am going to get. Do know that these are downloaded by me for posterity. Additionally, if imgur ever kicks you can you post an alternate social so I can keep up on this stuff. I feel like the mainstream media is biased or cowardly.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Welcome to "Who's the President Anyway?", where the money is made up and the rules don't matter.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#12 is especially vexing to me. Why on Earth would anyone want Ukrainian children data scrapped unless they were involved in human trafficking?

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, I bet there are some high up russian oligarchs and GOP scumbags involved in human trafficking. Would not surprise me in the least

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a gift to Putin. Erasing the moral issues surrounding the war (in Trump's eyes) will be a sweetener in the current negotiations. It's absolutely sickening 🤮

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think that it's appeasing Russia too. And Putin rolled him yesterday.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Number 6 will be a kicker. That will be hardship for a huge number of people and their families. Having to be seen in person occasionally, maybe by a visiting official would be better, and necessary to prevent fraud. We had this absurd case in Ireland https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1d7gvlxerdo
Two men brought a man (who happened to be dead) into a post office to claim his pension.
All the other items are terrible as well. France will be annoyed this morning! Thanks for the post!

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting for huge rallies of people pushing back against all of this.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The juxtaposition of closing dozens of offices while mandating office visits is completely on par for this administration. And it will cause difficulties for people. Thanks for the link. Looking forward to reading it!

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Really depends on the person for office visits. I was my father's caregiver and the only way we could do office visits was for me to physically lift him onto everything as he was unable to walk. We didn't qualify for any nursing or transport assistance.

I get the need for security to prevent fraud but when dealing with the elderly and disabled it's always a toss up on who's going to be put out.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Your posts are deeply appreciated. Additionally, my own digging has shown some other troubling prospects that weren't covered here: /gallery/alert-agent-orange-wishes-to-use-fentanyl-to-justify-war-against-mexico-canada-CJQ3q1u

I posted some stuff to try to help rally people together and funnel
them to others that can help further: https://imgur.com/gallery/report-request-wisconsins-court-hangs-balance-of-voters-76HSpMG

It's a fucking disaster, but more people are getting mad.

How can no one be actually fighting back yet? (Excluding Luigi)

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Americans looking down their noses at the French is the height of USA arrogance and ignorance.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100%. When your school curriculum is politicized, it's hard to tell people, "Remember when you came to this land, slaughtered the people living here, enslaved another race, and then decided to be your own country? Yeah, we were the first to help you."

Hmm, that doesn't sound as good as I thought.

so I'm no fan of homeland security, but an agency with victories he coule brag about getting gutted is ......i dunno

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is all out of the "we stopped more fentanyl than ever before" book.

You have to stop it from pouring in!

Uh, see line 1.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's one of the reasons why it's abundantly clear he's a Russian asset. There's no way even a fucking moron like him wouldn't want agencies like homeland security to be fully bolstered to support ICE in these illegal raids. He's just eroding government for the sake of destroying it irreparably.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

He’s a capitalist. He’s gutting out the government so that its functions can be replaced by private corporations owned by his cronies. We’re moving into an age of corporate feudalism

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ah, but you don't understand... "that dept was part of Sleepy Joe's Crooked Crime Cronies and if they were any good at their jobs the amount of potential terror plots wouldn't have been so high!" (Or some such bullshit)

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Concerning" is the word.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What hinders Trump to get rid of Judges? Why are they preoccupied with decisions/actions being “illegal”? Trump obviously ignored court rulings in at least one major, well documented case.

1 year ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 2

He doesn’t have any authority to do so, hence his need to try and get them to resign via intimidation etc

They can be impeached and removed with a 2/3s vote like the president but otherwise cannot be fired

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Judiciary is a separate, co-equal branch of government, just like Congress. It is not part of the executive branch that Trump runs and is enshrined in the Constitution. Only Congress has the ability to remove a judge like that, and then only by impeachment. That is a vote to impeach in the House and a trial and vote to convict in the Senate.

Judges at this level are appointed for life.

Trump can't fire one any more than he can fire a U.S. Senator.

1 year ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Congress controls the purse as well. The executive branch isn't supposed to be able to touch those funds either, but they're doing it. I don't doubt they'll just start getting rid of judges, regardless of any legality.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I also wonder what workarounds this mafia administration will find. Things like... "hey guess what, your building has been sold," or "we've bought the place upwind from your courtroom and are building a tire-burning facility there," or "we're going to dox and publicly threaten your staff members until they quit," or "we're going to arrest and deport this judge because they had dark skin and a single tattoo."

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I understand what they are. But if they cannot be touched, why were they bypassed with no consequences? See the kidney transplantation expert among other deportations?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

She was a perfect example of them being strategic. Not Trump, whoever is calling those shots. They say to half the country, "Look she's flying back after attending a terrorist's funeral. We don't want her here, right?"

They're appealing to humanity's base, ugliest side because it works.

And after it's normalized, it's nothing to round bunches of people up.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because a decent chunk of the population and the politicians support him and block anyone from enacting punishment.

If the US leaves NATO, it won't get back in.
Until we liberate you.

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

NATO won't want us with our implicit, perhaps explicit in the future, ties to Russia. And Hungary. And North Korea.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good luck with that, the US has a stronger military than the rest of NATO combined on paper. Their “defence” budget has been higher than the next top 10 countries combined for the entirety of all our lives. They have at least 3 times as many military bases as there are countries in the world, some sources report them having 750 military bases in 80 countries. This is before we discuss their nukes and their likelihood to use them if anyone posed an actual threat to their power.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So did Germany in ww2. It didn't end well for them

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The military strength difference between Germany and the rest of the world is nothing like the dominance that USA has. The number of bases and global hegemony is nothing alike either.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't waste the service personnel on liberating the USA from itself.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm subscribed on Imgur, any reason the email is better?

1 year ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Backups are good.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I have both, just in case something happens on Imgur.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I also have both, partly because it is easier for me to just forward an email. I read the email, and then come here for the comments, so I don't feel so alone in the fight.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I love Imgur. I've been here forever, but it was actually some in the community here who asked often and erm, vocally, for an email alternative "just in case."

I'll let them speak here because I haven't experienced what they have.

1 year ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

I hope I'm not the first to encourage you to get a donation link somewhere, maybe at the bottom of your website or at the end of your citations. Maybe just a Buy Me a Coffee kind of link. You're doing great work that takes time and effort that many of us would like to support in more than just imaginary points.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I don’t know if it’s changed recently but subscriptions usually only tell you when the post goes viral on Imgur. If the poster gets shadow banned then you will not see the post

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I believe when you follow someone you can choose to be notified when they post or if post goes viral.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You have the option to do all posts or viral posts, I have all posts on for this one

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks! The last time I followed anyone new was back during the BLM times or during lockdown, it’s changed since then.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

awwww, thank you! :)

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Of course! Your posts are a wonderful resource and have also been pretty key at helping me manage my anxiety, it's the least I can do until you get a tip button together :)

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah, no tip button, but thank you. We're all in this together.

Take care of your local community. We're not going to win this marching on DC. We're only going to win at the hyperlocal level and building up.

Trump's dismantling of the checks and balances of the federal government is such a dangerous national embarrassment.

1 year ago | Likes 184 Dislikes 2

The truly shameful and pathetic thing is how spineless Congress has been in just rolling over and taking it.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm Canadian and just a few weeks ago my provincial premier tried to fire the Auditor General and eliminate her position entirely and remove any access to her findings for the public to access because he didn't want criticism. Surprise! He's conservative.

1 year ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Sounds like what ablerta is dealing with....

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't have a problem with conservative principles, but I can't name many conservative politicians that have any principles.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But thankfully he was forced to backpedal.
Bullet dodged. Phew!
Gotta keep an eye on those politicians though.

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Something tells me we should go over those findings now with a fine toothed comb.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Something tells me he should be removed from his position. Violently if necessary. As the US shows, you can't give an inch or else it emboldens them.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, makes you wonder what he was trying to hide.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The only useful thing Trump is doing is showing us that we never had checks and balances. If they don't actually stop him, they were never real.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

A fair and balanced government has always been a shared delusion. It only exists because we say it exists and enough people involved play along. There are very few types of government that aren't. Fascism backed by violence and similar systems. Most good things exist because we will them into existence.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Legitimacy by the consent of the governed. That was our shared delusion. No one ever thought the governed would so easily give up their rights and protections.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The SCOTUS ruling that a President cannot be prosecuted for crimes committed under the official duties of the office effectively neutered both the legislated branch and the judicial branch of government. They basically kicked the door wide open for a lawless President to have carte blanche to do whatever they please with impunity. The shameful thing is there have been several Presidents believing themselves above the law so you'd think the US would have learned that lesson already, but noooo.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

The more important thing is that there has never been anything stopping a president from purging the military and promoting bootlickers to command, like Trump has done. And that means that no one is willing to back Donny into a corner and force him to put up or shut up, because at this point he can and will just use the military if he has to.

The rule of law is dead.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Well yes there actually is. Several generals have already publicly stated they will not follow any orders that go against the Constitution and there are enough of those type in the US military that have the respect and admiration of their men and women who serve under them for an unconstitutional order to fall on deaf ears.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

He'll just add them to the list to be fired. You seem to not grasp that he 100% absolutely without question does have the legal authority to fire any military officer he feels like firing. Every person who publicly says they won't follow his orders will just be removed from a command position and made irrelevant.
