Anybody find the sasquatch yet?

Meanwhile on the other side of the farm: "Brother, may I have some oats?"

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

A lot of Boxer the Horse energy in Jack.

Why cut off the last few panels where the sheep express hate for the wolves and the dog chides them for it?

Copaganda

True. Also, there has been some controversy about the artist, as he refuses to denounce Trump as it would "cost him half his viewers". When you look at the strips knowning that, some other things become apparent. White male dog guarding a white female sheep and her white lamb from the black faceless evil. The lamb in the end not being told who it was because it needs to be protected from the horrors of the world by the big male protector.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Yeah knowing the context, all of their comics feel very different, and pretty gross. This site is generally so anti-Trump but embraces this dude, it's weird.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

The irony is those lambs will be sent to slaughter in a couple months, anyway. At least master will get paid, though.

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The panels literally said theyre sheep. Did you even read it ??

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you implying people don't eat sheep?

There's a good change they are raised for wool.

Love when people like @OP harvest fake internet points and don't give credit where it's due.

You suck @OP. You suck big, fat, hairy, salty, crusty donkey balls.

That's what you sound like.

Isn't he like full-on MAGA or was that some BS?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As I understand, he might have supported Trump back in 2019 but has reversed that point of view as of 2021. Someone was using a Twitter account by the same handle as proof he still supports Trump, but the artist doesn't even have Twitter so that "evidence" doesn't seem to hold water. 🤷

Got it.

Man if only wolves just grabbed a sheep and ran off with it, would prolly reduce the hatred many farmers have for them at least somewhat.

1 month ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 4

Wolves already do that. The problem comes when farmers refuse to understand the balance of nature, and how important wolves are for the forest and mountains ecosystems. There's many farmers that understand the need for wolves and that sometimes you just lose some sheep. But there's many more than prefer to keep all their sheep, belive that nature belongs to them and therefore anything that doest benefits them is bad and a good chunk also like to hunt wolves and take any excuse.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

That's all they ever do. Sheep farmers and their bullshit stories "oh they wolves done kilt all mah sheep!" Wolves don't do that, have never done that, have no reason to do that.

Sheep farmers are just losers who can't admit that some would dogs killed their sheep while they were fucking a cousin.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

Per https://www.humaneworld.org/sites/default/files/docs/HSUS-wolf-livestock-fact-sheet.pdf, the US Fish and Wildlife service confirmed 218 sheep deaths, specifically to wolves, in 2015. In terms of raw deaths per year that IS a tiny minority, which is this paper's point. It is, however, quite different from "don't do that, have never done that, have no reason to do that".

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Sweden alone last year there was several attacks on sheep with 20-25 sheep killed on single occasions with dna on the sheep from wolves so i dont know why you think farmers just make it up.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You're absolutely right. While wolves in the modern times might be seen as majestic, regal, or even aspirational, back in the day when farming, ranching, and living rough was more common, they were often associated with the concepts of violence, greed, and gluttony- and for good reason.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Man it sucks that "you're absolutely right" has been appropriated by the stupid machine :(

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, great. Now I've got that to worry about. I feel like Captain Holt.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

?

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It is far from uncommon that if a wolf/wolves get into a sheep pen they kill every sheep they can so you end up with cases of 20-50 sheep killed in a single night.

1 month ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Fuckin what? Why? Like, from a biological/evolutionary perspective wouldn't that be the worse option for the pack?

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Why do cats kill without eating? Why do dogs retrieve without eating? Because they love to kill. Nature is brutal and inhumane. Evolution and instinct has no concept of over hunting or extinction, evolution is a million wars that are a million years old between every species on earth, there's no intention to coexist.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Thought they'd be smarter I suppose, capable of long-term planning. Disney movies lied to me

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

No? They have no reason to think the sheep will still be there later. If they kill as many as they can, they guarantee they have the most possible available food. Wolves have no concept of maintaining a food supply or supporting the ecosystem. Humans barely even do.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surplus_killing If predators find a large group of helpless prey they will often kill it all. Their predatory instinct doesn't differentiate, and *usually* prey is evolved to escape. They're in heaven for a little bit.

This USUALLY is only an issue with confined livestock or with predators introduced into an area with prey not adapted to them. It ensures they'll have a lot of food for awhile.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've had the same thing happen with a fox that got into our chicken coop. Fucker killed 8 chooks. That was a big mess to clean up.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Na they basically kill everything they can to leave for later, basically eat their fill, come back later to feed on the other kills.

1 month ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Well damn, fair play to the farmers then

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why are you censoring art?

1 month ago | Likes 131 Dislikes 8

Some protest, "But then it can't be posted on certain sites! (Or at least I assume so, as most of what one hears about algorithmic content moderation is hearsay and superstition)"
Even assuming that this is true: Perhaps one should not be mangling others' art and offering it to such shitty sites as tribute (ie: content). And it still doesn't justify sharing vandalized art on sites that don't require it.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's trend now : rape, murder, kill, drugs, sex, child - all these words have recently been censored from things that get posted and were edited recently (old stuff still uncensored) i don't know what they're trying to do

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

They're doing their very best to censor speech that may either directly or evasively attack their Orange Idol in multiple formats. All those words you mentioned, in combinations, all reference him.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The genocideal rapist pedophiles owning all major social media don't like some words and set up automation to punish people for using them.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ugh because my God hates those words.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The act of getting around censors is an art. The invention of comedy and later satire was a way for the poor to insult the rich without receiving punishment. Finding ways to relay ideas in a hostile system will always be the work of artists.

1 month ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

Why censor the word at all? It’s dumb as shit to do this. It’s my least favorite thing about being online in communities like this.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Was it censored enough that you don't know what four letter word that starts with k and ends with l in that context? If not, might I offer you this steaming hot glass of shut the fuck up?

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 29

Right, it's obvious what word it is, which makes the censorship completely pointless and stupid.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yes, exactly like the social networks shadowbanning people for having those words, very astute of you.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

You can run basic in-browser OCR on the text and it picks it that word up as "kill" without a problem. That means that if it this were meant to evade some sort of text recognition being run on every image wherever it was being posted (assuming that the site in question actually does such a thing), it probably wouldn't actually help. The censorship ends up being pointless even given that excuse.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

and if they were to say whoa whoa whoa, you can't say that here, your response as poster is: I didn't. May not be necessary, but the badguy is the big corporation, not the response to stupid shit the big corpo suits have been doing for decades and you somehow have been too thick to notice.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

May I offer you a glass of stfu and GTFO since you are defending a dumb shit decision to appease your tiktok master instead of keeping art uncensored in a world of pointless censorship?

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

We must appease The Algorithm, let it cast us out into Demonetization

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

All hail the algorithm!!!

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because it will be blocked on social media if they don't.

1 month ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 15

Which ones?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Any that are supported by ads, so all of them.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The one OP took this from, I guess.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I dunno. But anytime something is censored it's so it can be posted without fear of being banned or black listed.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Because people *think* it will be blocked.

Lots of stuff still gets posted/shared with those words, but the groupthink is that you always have to censor it so now they all do it.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

No it happens. It may escape the filters but if an individual reports it, it can still be flagged.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

On some social media sites, maybe. On Imgur, I have yet to manage to get myself even scolded for using the word "kill" in an appropriate and innocuous context. This particular site is fucked in quite a few ways but thankfully for now that isn't one of them.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Congratulations. Your personal experience is actually the only experience anybody on earth has. So glad you feel the need to ignore reality and have this weird ass argument where you think denying a thing that does happen means it doesn't. https://media0.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1OG5ubW0yeGVyM2YzbWMzcnlxYzFkdmo0Y2RkMXZ2ajA2ajAzaXBuNyZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/aOLreCSIm6pxA4tbAe/200w.webp

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What was censored?

1 month ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 5

the word 'kill' on the 4th image

1 month ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 2

Because algorithms have been known to pick up on words like kill and basically shadow ban such content from people's feeds

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 5

Well fuck that algo

Nah that’s way to specifically that one word. A lotta media will scan text for “bad” words like kill, rape or suicide and automatically flag or take down your content. That’s why the whole “unalive” thing came about.

Man I would KILL for a big, fat, tall scooby doo looking sandwich and a nice hoppy non-alcoholic beer to wash it down with.
USE. YOUR. WORDS.
Limiting your language limits your ability for critical thought, which is exactly what they want.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why are YOU censoring the word kill?

1 month ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 2

If you're too coward to write the word "kill," don't bother replying at all.

1 month ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Fuck me is everyone here a coward? Kill. See?

1 month ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 3

Algorithams looks for words like 'kill' and automatically shadow ban people. It's stupid, but we live in a stupid world now.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Yeah, but not on imgur and specialy not in comments here.
So it's just stupid people spreading the stupid everywhere.
