11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Majestic as fuck.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

as a white person I feel pretty offended, like there's only 4 pictures! talk about under representation.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are the only senior pics he'll get, because he's not making it to 65.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Funny pictures haha

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Dude looks better eating fries then I do best posed.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I spent $1600 on my senior photos and only $300 for my wedding. I done fucked up.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck off, he's perfect!

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

i went to the park behind my friend's house. boom. friend shot my photos, sent them over email, printed at Walgreens.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's lovin' it

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

badababada... nice senior pics

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A good photographer counts more than exciting scenery.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a man after my heart

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He comes across pretty well in those photo's tbh. Looks very contemplative in the last one.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think they look great. Way better than the fake poses next to a spring like I took.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Badabababaaaa

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When I got married we went to MC. D and did the sharing a bite with a burger instead of cake...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He kinda looks like Chris Pratt...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like he ate chris pratt...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We did all of mine in the backyard. Included our waterfall (man-made), my car, and my grandpa's Harley.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit...did I leave the oven on?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I went to some kickass places in the city limits.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's "senior pics"? We don't have this in Canada.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I think it has something to do with school? I don't know, America is weird.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Doesn't give a fuck.

11 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

AKA-zero fucks given.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't even get those taken and I am from America

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me either. I dropped out in junior year.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That kid has some 10/10 hair holy shit

11 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 4

Daayum, you weren't kidding. I scrolled kinda fast at first and missed it but dayum! Wish I had straight hair :(

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Is your hair to flamboyant?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's quite fabulous, but the ladies do tend to like it. Think Heath Ledger in 10 things I hate about you.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always saw senior pictures as a way of saying "this is as attractive as you're ever going to get, it's all down hill from here."

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Sounds like you an attractive high school student. Most of us were not.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Iono about that. About 80% of girls I know looked their best in their mid-20s. But I live in LA in the Asian communities.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

After their college graduations, and they got jobs to buy nice clothes, get hair done, and with a more matured style.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For his senior page , this one guy un-ironically quoted HIMSELF on love or some shit, along with a B&W vignette of himself playing the piano

11 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Sounds like a keeper... LOL

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He...he wasn't joking?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, no he wasn't. If you knew this guy, it would make complete sense.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel like we've all known this guy, one way or another

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This picture is better than mine. This is actually really awesome that he can pull this off.

11 years ago | Likes 280 Dislikes 4

It's cause he's fat.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

When you're genuinely passionate about something it shows in the pictures.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe you should have got sponsored by McDonald's too?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm getting a 'thick Chris Pratt' vibe here.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I'm thinking more Kevin Durand in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This guy is going places.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He's a rather attractive fat guy too. If that was all muscle, the fucker could be a model and an actor.

11 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 2

It would be like P&R Chris Pratt to GOTG Chris Pratt!

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I have a friend like that...:(

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do you wish they were more fit so that you could date them or something

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No I just see him unhappy with himself and I wish he had the motivation to fix it

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some kids from my school spend a few thousand for their senior shoots

11 years ago | Likes 171 Dislikes 1

I used to work at a studio that did these kind of pictures and people would yell at us almost every day because it cost $30

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I took mine in the dining room the day it was due

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those kids will look back at the stupid amount of money they blew, on days where they could have reaaaally done with it right now.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Generally those kids get trust funds, or have wealthy parents.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I never bought anything but the whole class photo's every year. They were like a tenth the price of the individual portrait photos.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*Some kids parents

11 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

Some kids' parents*

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Thanks. I'm non-native speaker.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Still writes better than the kids that go on those photo shoots

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So am I. ;)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm a*

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Augh! This is about to be a train wreck.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone from the UK, this whole senior photo shoot thing is bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 1417 Dislikes 17

As someone from America this whole thing is bizarre... But I'm from Florida which is apparently Australia Jr., so what do I know?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I'm an American born and raised and this is the first time I'm hearing about this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the Netherlands, grew up in US. We never did the photoshoot thingies, or any pics really. I think we were just weird & from the NL

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Alot of us in the U.S. think it's pretty bizarre too. I skipped mine, as did a lot of other people.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I didn't even know it was a thing until my mom got really mad at me for not telling her that my school offered a photo package for it...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American: I didn't know they were a thing till I went to college in the Midwest

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As a Canadian... is this a North America thing or is the US just being weird again? My school was pretty gangsta so I may have missed out

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from the US and I didn't do senior pics. Dumb in my opinion.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I never got any taken since I hate being in pictures, but they tracked me down in class to get a single yearbook photo wince I had none.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I am from America and I think it is weird. HS Grad isn't even an achievement, it is mandatory. Never understood why we celebrate everything

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As someone in the US, I found it bizarre and useless too. So I didn't waste time and money on it. Neither did most of my friends.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As someone from the U.S., this whole senior photo shoot thing is bizarre

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As someone from America. I must agree

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a poor American, to me as well. :/

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In New Zealand we just have our regular ID photos... in a room... in front of a screen. It's just blue too, none of your fancy green screen.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

www.glamourshots.com most of the seniors in El Paso Texas use them.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm American and I don't know what this is.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

And narcissistic.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

graduated 10 years ago.. was not a thing back in mah day

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's a bit more elegant than the photos of you being blackout drunk which emerge after the night you finish school

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from Canada even, ye

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I like how we Brits automatically assume it's our fault whenever we don't understand American culture, not cos they're weird to everyone.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

as someone from the US, you say phone number wrong

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait until you hear about promposals. That shit will melt your understanding of the world.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm American and I've never heard of a "Senior photo shoot". Of course I graduated in 2003 so maybe things have changed.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We don't even have graduation day at school.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Went to military school. My "senior picture" was me in my dress uniform, same as the previous three years.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My school (american boarding school) never did this...we just had normal class pictures like every other year

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm from the US and I've always thought it was weird as hell.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's as bad as the whole Kindergarten graduation thing.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Sorry what now

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's not something that you want to do, it's something that your mom makes you do if you are from a middle class white family.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As someone from the US, I also don't get it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They made my Grandma happy. I like to make her happy.

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Same

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was pressured into it by my mom, I didn't care for it and she gladly wanted to pay several hundred dollars.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As someone in the US, I always thought it was bizarre. Then I realized people do this in college too. WTF?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As someone from an English-speaking country, I feel compelled to point out that you left your participle dangling. 8^P

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@fuckingredtrousers can you confirm?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Same. And I'm from the US.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, I didn't get senior photos, go to senior prom, buy a yearbook or class ring, and honestly didn't want to buy a cap and (1)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

gown to walk at graduation. Fuck that noise; I just wanted to get my ass out of the hell hole that was high school. (2/2)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same here! My reasoning was different though. I was taking my classes at the college, so I didn't feel any attachment to my high school.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Actually I was the same. I was dual-enrollment, and it didn't feel like a big step for me. That, and I despised my high school lol.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

just in case you die right after high school

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Even some places in the us doesn't do it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as someone from the US who did that shit. I agree

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American forced to do them by his parents: I agree..

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In my house I call this a Freak

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You guys get yearly school photos though right? I know that's miles away from this nonsense.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm American and I think it is the corniest thing in the world. Thank god my parents did too.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from America and even I don't understand.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is something that must have just started because we did nothing of this when i graduated 7 years ago

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, I think its bizarre too.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

go eat some chips with mayo m8

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I'm Canadian and we don't do this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't even know what this is. WHAT'S THE PURPOSE I DON'T UNDERSTAND, HELP

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am from Texas and many people did this. I didn't, have no regret. I sent the yearbook and homecoming picture.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ bro

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I frankly hate the whole ceremony behind High School graduation. Like, graduating High School isn't that big of a deal, usually, right?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from the US, I don't get it at all, or the whole graduation party thing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, we don't know where it came from either. We just do it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiit's. TRRRRRRADITIONNNN!!!!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In my hs we all wore the exact same thing. Girls wore this black drape thing to make it look like a dress, guys put on a fake suit thingy.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from the US and no one around here does this. It's just the normal one-photograph per student, 30-photos per page in the yearbook.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not photogenic enough to have them done. My senior photo was me pissed off.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As someone in america wtf is this.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from the US this thing is bizarre... As a photographer it is GREAT.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Typically I've noticed it's parents who really want them done. Something professional so they have a nice pic when you go off to college.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must have had a leavers' do at the end of A-levels or something though?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We went to a nightclub!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from the US who did them, they are really stupid and a waste of time. I looked good tho.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is this is senior photo shoot?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The comments are defensive for no reason. It is the last picture you are going to have in public school, and people want it to be nice.

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Isn't that the senior portrait? You know in the black shawl & pearls with a blue background? I didn't go to public school, genuinely curious

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can't say I have ever heard of that. Some schools might have that, but these are done (usually) with a private agent at a location that(1)

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

(2) reflects the interest of the students. Then that picture goes in the yearbook, and prints are given out to family as a memento (2)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(3) But a school picture is still taken for the purposes of records and a studennt ID (and a backup for the more formal yearbook photo).

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had a bad experience with the whole thing. apparently everyone knew that the photos were do on date X, but I didn't So a few weeks 1/?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

after the due date, it came to my attention that I hadn't gotten them done, and there was no way, apparently, to get my picture in 2/?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

the yearbook. So i spent 4 years at my highschool and my existence noted simply as a name in the back as "not shown" because my god damn 3/?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

school SAYS they announced it, but having never been late or absent, I somehow didnt know. Also with such a strict deadline, you would 4/5.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

imagine that they would make announcements every day or something. I could have paid out of pocket like $1k apparently but im not rich 5/6

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

For me as a man it was a terrible experience. Glamour shots and beards don't mix.

11 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 2

high school beards are always disgusting

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We're gonna need proof.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Beards don't need glamour shots. Beards are already glam.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

That is a lie.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really? This says otherwise: http://www.influx.com.br/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Pb3wfLI.jpg

11 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

Oh you.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would've loved to have had a gloriously bearded man while I was shooting senior photos. I did do my brothers with pancakes and flanel tho.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun Fact: There are more libraries than McDonalds' in the U.S.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved mine. They doubled as head shots when I started theater in college.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's really a "pictures for your grandparents to put on their coffee table" shoot.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a 17 y/o homeschooler from the US, this whole senior photo shoot thing is bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, I think this is weird as fuck.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

As an American, I don't get it either. I didn't do this.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I did and I still do not get it

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I asked my parents if I could go ahead and not do senior pics. They made me. Made me pick out a class ring, too. It was annoying.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As someone in the US, I never even did mine. I also think it's super bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Just go with it. That's what we do. No one really cares

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I'm an old fart (50). When exactly did this start? In my day, Senior portraits were different and better because COLOR! Oooooh.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

We have senior pictures, you have gap years. Which when you think about it, you win.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm from Kansas. The only senior photos I had were my yearbook photos. It's weird to me, too.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Same here. We had to go to a studio for head shots, but nothing else.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You get photo shoots for other life moments? When you're a little kid and again later when you grow up.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As someone from the U.S, this whole senior photo shoot thing is bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American from central Louisiana, we do them....and they are weird.Louisiana is real fucking weird

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm an american and I don't understand it. it's our moms that make us do it, tho...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a photographer, it's for the yearbook/graduation announcements, and so the parents can have nice photos done before they go off to school

11 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 3

as a photographer i still find senior portraits to be largely pointless

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those are pretty much the only photos my parents keep of us on the wall.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This whole idea of "going off to school" isn't a universal thing either.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

No, but for a lot of the people getting senior photos done it is.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Time to dust off the ol' DSLR! I'm about to rob these folk!

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

"off to school" HA! I think it's a fathers way of giving the mother a nice picture to remember them by, as he's throwing them out the door

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

and so that y'all can make that seasonal cheddar

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Senior photos aren't a huge money-maker, at least not for me. Most of the time parents are only looking to buy one or two shots.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of parents put larger copies of their children's senior pictures on their walls. I think grandparents are a fan too.

11 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

As an American, I don't get it either. *shrugs*

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an American, I have no idea what part of the country does this, but isn't anywhere where I came from- & I went to a very wealthy school.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm from a small town in Wisco and everyone gets them here. You get like 100 wallets and hand them out to everyone at school.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's just bizarre to me... We only gave our bff's our photos to take to college with them.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not everyone does them. I didn't and I regret nothing.

11 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 3

My parents had to bribe me to even walk. Just didn't see the point. I didn't succeed, I just did what was expected of literally everyone.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did them and regret the mullet I had in '99.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

d i t t o

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took my own, and edited it,making it so embarrassingly bad my school put in an edit to say the submissions must be professional.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The school required I take one in my cap & gown for the yr book. That's all I took and didn't buy any. I hate that crap.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Are you sure? I mean, look at these magnificent photos. Are you really sure?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

no pictures, didnt even go to graduation; I was so done with that shit.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I didnt do them, im now 2 years in to college and my mom is still trying to get me to do pictures...i really dont want to. lol.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I didn't either.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I only did them because my mom and grandma wanted me to. I regret doing them.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same here, except one shot of me and my 3 best friends together. I moved and I miss hanging out with them. Nice having the picture

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's good.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's super cheesy it makes me laugh, but hey, we thought we were cool, didn't care noone else did =p

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We just went to the local park

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did them in high school, it was fun! skipped it in college and don't regret a thing. It's nice to have professional pictures though.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My sister did mine with a point-and-shoot digital camera and I edited them with a Facebook app. Boom, cheap and easy, just like OP's mom.

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Ayooooooooooooooooooo

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Heeey!!

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Tell that to your mom for me.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait when did this start. I'm 26 and am confused

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from the UK who goes to a shit school you get a hoodie with something printed on it. Mine is oging to say "The Asperg".

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck. Going.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wasn't even in my senior year book and I didn't find out till like a month ago. Not even upset, never liked year books.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You usually have to pay a lot for them. They're dumb.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As some from the USA... I agree it's odd as fuck

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was an ugly kid, so they didn't ask me to do one.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm American and I still don't understand it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from the UK and didn't know senior photoshoots were a thing, let alone specifically fancy photoshoots.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I really didn't want to do it but my mother basically forced me to it. Now im afraid to look un the year book that I'll land on my page.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

American here. I don't know a single person that's done this. I always assumed it was just something made up on TV

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm American, but lived abroad untill my senior year, i was very confused by senior pictures.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone from America, i think the same thing.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

yo quit hatin

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In america, we like to shoot things.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a photographer, It shows off their personality and has a better bg than some dropcloth. I photograph mostly college grads though.

What's so bizarre? They're just photos that go in the back of the yearbook. You still have your regular yearbook portrait.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As someone from the US, our senior photos were taken by the school photographer, like every other year.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's bizarre for most Americans, too.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As an American from central Louisiana; we all get them. And it's pretty weird. Louisiana is weird as shit.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's because they want to get pictures of the cattle before they go out to the financial slaughter that is college and a dead job market.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Indeed

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm from the US and we didn't have anything like this - just regular snaps in front of cheesy backgrounds.

11 years ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 5

I too have never heard of this

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like so? https://imgur.com/0oO4R4f

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

We had casual photos done with the typical tux/black "dress" photos, but they were just backdrops set up in the wrestling room at school

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If there was ever a room that smelled like sweat and jock straps...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheesy? Like, Quarter Pounder with Cheese?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

We had the regular snaps, but for senior pictures they just advertised the photographer doing them and you signed up if you wanted them.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Senior pics aren't done by the school, the family hires a photographer, and typically photographers have nice locations to take you to.

11 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I've never heard of this; where tf does that happen?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. And offices with couches. Right?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our school required it to be the school photographer you don't always get to choose your own and go pretty places

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

My school required a specific photographer for the senior photo in the yearbook, but you could get anyone to do personalized Sr photos

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What do they do with the photos?! Please don't tell me it's just a new Facebook profile picture

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

What does one do with any photo?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You submit them to the yearbook in place of a school photo, and then order prints to give to family.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Actually the schools hire a photography company that does school shoots. The families pay though. Roughly 100-200$

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I just payed my friend to take them. Cost me $20

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Send them to relatives in the graduation announcements so you get more graduation money. Cha-ching.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why are there graduation announcements?

I don't think it's bizarre. I think it was invented solely for profit. The only people who benefit are professional photographers.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm America, I think it's weird too.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope...American here....that shit is weird

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, what's a senior photo shoot?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

*As someone from anywhere other than mainland USA

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

As someone from germany - can confirm

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At my school, the Abiturienten publish a paper with an individual page for each graduate... (I'm german, too)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here, but taking an extra glorious photo just for that was nothing people talked about.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canadians do it!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

we do?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As someone from America, this whole senior photo shoot thing is bizarre

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As an American I fought with my parents to not get senior photos taken. Hundreds of dollars for some pictures, fucking waste in my book.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then again, in Belgium we do this is first and sixth grade for our 'communie'

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Huh?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too hard to explain in English

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I never took pictures like this in the US. Just a simple yearbook picture.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*As someone from America, I still don't know what's going on.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, I wasn't wasting money on that crap! no graduation invitations, nothing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In America I think it's weird to

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's interesting that in the US they take pictures of each individual kid, while in other countries (mine at least) we have group photos.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

My year 12 group photo all the guys and girls swapped uniforms. So all the guys were wearing dresses

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Sounds awesomely fun

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an American, senior photos were optional.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So only the rich popular kids did it?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty much, yeah. Or people who actually cared enough to get their own photographer :b

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess it depends where you're from in America. I don't know a single high school senior that didn't get them.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like, we had a yearbook photo? Taken by the person who took our photo every year. That happened. did that happen for you?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We had our normal photo, but where I live, if we wanted a senior photo, we had to hire our own photographer.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"...this whole is bizarre" Seriously, pick nearly any activity.

11 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 9

I *thought* browsing imgur was weird. Now it's confirmed since I'm doing it in America. But really, every country does some weird stuff.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do thoroughly agree that senior pictures are a weird thing to do, though.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know, people always look at me weird when I polish my knob in front of the house.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dunno, there are many weird things going on all over the world. US just has the dominant culture right now

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

What does that even mean?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

DON'T QUESTION OUR DOMINANCE!

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I think they mean our culture is easily seen because of tv, movies, and the internet.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Turning on a red light is pretty nice. Also, McDonald's fries. Why do no other chains sell shoestring fries? Seriously.

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

dairy queen

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you ever actually seen shoestring fries? McDonald's fries aren't shoestring.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Steak and shake

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You can turn on a red light in Canada. Just not left on a red light.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Steak N Shake...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Smash burger

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an American, don't lump me in with these yahoos. Unless you'd like to tell the class where you're from so we can generalize you too.

11 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 15

Yahoos. Haha

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Im from Yorkshire, y'all Americans are weird. Yorkshire man OUT.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

People from Yorkshire say y'all?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and yeah we are weird

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, i was just trying to fit in with all you 'cool kids'

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea wtf?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did I say all Americans? No. Maybe I'll lump you in with all those who reply to what they've inferred instead of what was actually written.

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 39

Sorry, but it is part of what your comment implies. If you're going to be offended, be more clear.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why not read and comprehend the written words instead of inferring content that isn't there? I'm not offended, I'm baffled as to why you are

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You said as someone from anywhere other than America. So you did lump all Americans together. That's why you have been down voted.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 11

He lumped all those not from America together dude.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

And what in gods name is a "promposal". Sounds so daft

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 6

That's something my favourite asshole would say

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

When you think prom is something of a prelude to a wedding.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Man if you are not down with a fine ass portmanteau then you may be in the wrong place.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's not much I despise more than people elaborately asking other people to prom.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It's so tacky and cringe!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I went skiing with my gf at the time and tackled her on accident. While laying on her I asked her to prom. I got cheers.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't get the worlds largest economy with only 4% of the people without trying.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

McDonald's have just got some free advertising

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

China has about 20% of the world's population.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

...but not the worlds largest economy, which I believe was the point here.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The estimates were based on PPP and by that measure, yes, China is the world's largest economy. (Ranked by GDP, USA still leads)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would you not rank on GDP?
