I really hope that this chap is doing something with his skill, for he is a Wordmaster. He should be in advertising or professional writing, I would be surprised if he isn't.

My brother in Christ you are an amazing orator. Read some Shakespeare for me please. I want to hear Macbeth's soliloquy in that southern voice that speaks to my heritage and family.

That delivery was fucking majestic!

The margin between "survivable heat" and "affordable heat" grows ever thinner.

This was awesome. Someone in the posts stated that he's a great orator. I'm on board with that for sure. I want to hear more from this guy.

He is seriously good.

What a fucking orator, wow. This dude belongs on a stage somewhere.

8 months ago | Likes 216 Dislikes 0

I can see him narrating old 19th century novellas to audiobooks. He has the accent for the timeframe but the annunciation to still be understandable in the modern era. That's a good talent.

8 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He is sometimes. @jerrywaynelive in IG

8 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I'd love to have him narrate a tone of books.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd love to see more audio books done in the style of radio plays. I feel like his delivery is a bit ponderous for an entire book, but if someone else narrated and people him did voices, oh boy oh boy.

Jerry Wayne is great. Love his “Truck Astrology” bits

8 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

They can be surprisingly accurate.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jerry Wayne Longmire if anyone wants to look him up. His truck astrology makes me laugh.

So I guess he can afford it. Anyone else who couldn't afford it might wanna reconsider moving somewhere cooler while such places still exist. Unless they got money to start investing in houses and lifestyles closer to ancient - and existing - tribes living in hot climates. Might wanna find affordable ways to withstand the heat.

If you can't afford to run an AC unit, you can't afford to move house.

There's a saying where I live: "Being poor is expensive."

So like, August?

8 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The man is describing Texas in August. What, pray tell, is "real summer"?

8 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm between waco & college station, ACset at 77, 76 to sleep. Spent 10 years insulating & reworking attic. Max August bill was about $163... and that runs the pool pump 12 hrs a day too. 4x that? Dude need Lowes.

real summer in texas (San Antonio anyway) is late september/early october...its still over 100F,. wind makes it "hotter than blazes" and meanwhile everyone else is like "ooo pumpkin spice!" and "off lets go leaf peeping", meanwhile you are STILL taking 3 showers a day

Texas literally voted to have the worst power grid in America.

8 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

And they are proud of it, right up to the minute it kills them.... They'll never learn.... I've lived there for 20 years.... (walks away shaking head, sadly)

Texans like to boast about the fact that they are the only state that was once an independent nation. The thing is, they are no longer an independent nation because they SUCKED at being an independent nation. I don't get why they want to constantly remind everyone of that. Texas is fucking weird, man.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the only thing you can boast about is something your ancestors did, what does that say about you?...

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How to make this even better: remove the fucking captions.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

People need subtitles, too.

8 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah they do. Subtitles. Not EVERY. FUCKING. WORD. INDIVIDUALLY. ON. YOUR. SCREEN. ONE. WORD. AT. A. FUCKING. TIME.

8 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's the fault of the ai the websites use. No one is making subtitles themselves anymore, it's been automated. In this case it at least shows the full sentence so it's not one word at a time you have to put together in your head while reading them really fast

Funny how you don’t see that in states that don’t have a private grid. Almost like privatization of a commodity needed by everyone isn’t a good idea. Oh and if you’re gonna pop off and claim that *your* bill was that high - post both the bill including the address. I want to confirm the square footage of your place.

Neoliberalism.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

becasue most texans have a "fluctuating" bill agreement.
Its dirt cheap at times, but when its stressed more it goes up.
Global warming making more people use it thus it stays higher.

8 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I have a flat rate. Doesn’t matter when I use it. And I get a discount if I let the power company take control and raise the set temp by 4 degrees for an hour or two during peak - but usually the system compensates for those by overcooling right before peak demand typically starts - so my place may get all of 2 degrees warmer than my set point. Or I can cancel that and my system goes back to what the original setting was. Idk. For $80 a year off my bill I can tolerate 2deg warmer for 2 hrs/day.

The electric/gas companies here in NY keep asking permission to stick it farther up our asses than they already do. Must be the stock holders need more money. Pretty pathetic, right?

8 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It's always shareholders and stocks. Always. Businesses want to provide a service, make a little bit of profit, and make their employees happy.

Shareholders scream WE NEEEEEEDDDD MM$$$$$NNNNN$$$$$$YYYYYY

So the business throws it's ethics out the window in order to raise profits to please the people who give them money.

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm all about a free market. But not for our fucking utilities... ffs

8 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, agreed 100%. Republicans think that EVERYTHING needs to be privatized. Absolutely everything.

8 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It happens here in NY too. I'm not letting Democrats off the hook. And my wife is the Commissioner for the Democrats at the board of elections...lol
