Turned on the heated seats and she falls asleep like this.

Dec 26, 2017 4:06 PM

FP Edit: FIRST TIME TO THE FP!! Thanks guys!
Saw comments about her being unsafe in the front seat. Normally she does sit in the back seat and is anchored down with a harness. But she was shivering bad and the hot air wasn’t reaching her, so that’s why I let her up front this once. I was sure to drive extra safe to make sure nothing happened to my baby.

Many dogs secretly identify as cats.

Do you have an airbag disabled?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Don't you dare wake her up, op! Goodest doggos need their rest :)

My dog figured out how to turn the seat heater on in my last car.

Car has a lot of buttons

Saw the one marked eject, and was all "wait... what?" Then I remembered that CD's are a thing....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What kind of dog is she?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lab shepherd chow mix.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve got a mix that looks like the midget version of her lol still tryin To figure out what mine is.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is so dangerous. Even a minor fender bender would kill that dog with a severe spinal injury.

I fall asleep on heated seats too, but at least I have a steering wheel to rest my head on.

8 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 0

Lmao

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats mostly the reason why I avoid heated seats while driving. I am gdtting tires

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The problem is the pedestrians getting tires.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure hope that airbag doesn't go off...

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 18

Agreed. Doggos go in the back seat folks. Air bags and the Wu Tang Clan have one thing in common. Both ain't nuttin to fuck wit

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 14

We made it home safe and normal she is anchored to the backseat but she was shivering so I let her up front just this once.

8 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

If you do it again, remember that you can disable the airbag! (normally used for putting a rear facing child seat)

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

My car disables airbag automatically if passenger is under 75 lbs

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is a Ford Escape…the “passenger airbag off” light is on (orange above the middle air vents), so no worries there.

Good car recognition

Well, I have one myself, so it was easy to pick out.

Escape. Right make tho

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can’t afford that, not on my salary.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am sure every owner disarms airbags every time kids or dogs drives like that

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 7

My kids and dogs don't drive at all...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You should get a license for your dog

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Many cars now disarm it automatically in the passenger seat if the weight of the seat is under about 85 lbs.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 3

My pass. airbag turns itself off if I put anything from a gym bag to a somewhat heavy box on the front seat (my dog does in the hatch)

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

My car is a 2011 and if my lightweight kids (but old enough) lean a certain way or rest their head on the window, the side airbag goes off.

A select portion of my friends and family members, who have told me that my car's heated seats make them feel like they've peed their pants.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I drove a AR with heated seats. You turn them. On just long enough to get warm. Then shut them off.

Everybody loves the warmbutt.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know you should never wake a sleeping doggo. But like, airbags are a thing. And if one were to go off... Bye bye doggo.

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 16

that would probably be the case anyway if the dog were in the front seat unrestrained in an accident, leaning on it or not.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

True, but then it would just smash against their body instead of instantly snapping it's neck

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine turns itself off if there's less than 25 kilos in the seat. The dog has his upper body off the seat so less likely it'll blow

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Recline the seat do she can lay down.

It's hard to ring the Bell of Freedom when you have to shift gears! Also drink coffee and text...

8 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 3

That vehicle doesn't even have a manula option, like most all American cars.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Actually this is the interior of a 2012 Ford Escape. You could get a stick in the XLS trim in FWD only back then.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's genuinely shocking.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Having driven from Atlanta, GA to San Antonio, TX many times, the automatic transmission and cruise control kept me from having issues.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I prefer a manual, but availability in the US is low. Besides, modern automatics are more efficient and quicker. . . .

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Oh please... if that’s the worst thing you have to say about Americans... lol

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

I love driving my automatic. I also live in a very high traffic area.

You just sound like a 12 year old who's dad said this once so you think you sound mature when you say it. Live and let live my man
