I thought video games made us all violent monsters? Meanwhile my wife laughs as I chase the fox because I didn’t get to pet it.

And fucking Zelda, Breath of the Wild has no goddamned mechanic to pet the dozens of dogs and hundreds of foxes

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cerberus is also a very good boy.

If you use Brain Rot in Black Ops Coldwar Zombies, Plague Hounds and Hell Hounds can be turned and be petted. You get 100 points for petting

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

honestly thats not a lot the game sold 5 million copy’s that means that most players just petted the fox once

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are all good foxes, Brent-san.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I pet every single one I possibly could

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It always pissed me off when you'd do the shrine and then couldn't pet the fox after

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Gotta make sure you can't get loot by petting them

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish I knew how many pets I gave in RDR2.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one concerned my fucking around in a singleplayer game is recorded?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This post is months old, so imagine the numbers now. ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(sorry about PiP, just linking an existing imgur copy and the other has inflated margins + text)

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This appeals to male gamer unrealistic fantasies

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And it does nothing, but why wouldn't you pet the foxo

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's one side quest with lots of foxes. It's a tear-jerker for sure.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

best part about Valheim, is my hog farm

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BOAR LOVES YOU

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If like to know the dogs from Red Ded 2 as well...

5 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 2

I pet dogs like it gave me magic powers

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This would be more telling because you don’t have specific tasks to seek them out

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

I always pet my dog and my tiger in far cry if the kill an enemy - good boys :)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ran(?) one over with my horse and felt so fucking bad

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In always do after hearing the yelp

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have one rule in this game. Always pet your good boi when you come back to camp.

Just showing our appreciation for what they did for us in Skyrim.

5 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 1

That's a myth, and untrue sadly

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

What would that be?

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

hello from 3 years in the future. so, there was a rumor (that wasn’t true, except that it kind of was) that if you followed a fox in skyrim, it would lead you to treasure! in reality, no it didn’t, except that because of how their pathfinding worked, yes it did accidentally lead you to points of interest, which usually have treasure. see this article for details. https://www.eurogamer.net/skyrims-myth-of-the-treasure-fox-finally-explained @LuLuPennyAndOdium44 @Sauroctonus @DreamerMassacre

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bought this in November and still haven't played it, cause I'm stuck with the Division. Damn.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cant recommend it high enough

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War are all must plays for PS4... supposedly Sony is making Horizon free in April (starting 4/19 I think)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bought HZD in January, guess what? Haven't played it yet. God of War was fucking awesome, I played that before Division. Boy!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are good foxes. ?

5 years ago | Likes 827 Dislikes 2

14/10 would pet again

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're all good foxes GLORIA!!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Funny because in Japanese culture foxes are terrifying creatures

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kitsune? Yes. But foxes are also beings of Inari, so a lot of good foxes. And not all Kitsune are bad.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah Bront!

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Yeah, Brant

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Their little noises they make when you pet them are so adorable, and then they jump up and down all happy like

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Plus the sound they make!!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Loved it every time I found a shrine, they were so happy!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never seen a bad fox. Maybe Fox News.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read Megan Fox was difficult to work with on the Transformers movie set

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah she got canned for being anti Semitic online from what I remember

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I heard that that was because Micheal Bay was an ashole

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Never played it, but now I have to.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 1

Same

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wanna play it but no PS4 or TV. I hope it comes to PC, eventually.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Horizon zero dawn made it to pc so chances are not 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even without the fox petting sim side quest, it's a solid game

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

It is quite good, story is well written and executed as well. Just gets a little monotonous near the end. Not much mission variety.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think this is similar to the original Assassin's Creed. I think the next have will have a lot more variety to it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, a lot of "go here, do choppy choppy"

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think it's a little long for my taste? It's solid, but I'm a completionist and it does drag a bit. Love the story, characters, & setting.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh, if Skyrim can get away with it, so can other games.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cuz foxes are just that great

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 2

Had one as a pet. They're cute but terrible pets. Always stink, they bite and in the dead of night they scream like a woman being murdered.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Am... am I a fox?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are you a huge pain in the arse and unpleasant to be around but also cute and have a lovely tail? Cause you might be.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did some one implement fox petting counter? How did they measure this? :D

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The game already has to track of the number of shrines visited for achievements so adding a counter to check if you petted the fox

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

after you visited the shrine wouldn't take a lot.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if they get this kind of data, imagine what else they must be collecting. Is there a user agreement to accept before you play the game?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Okay, like what? My moms maiden name?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't think there's been a commercial game without a user agreement to accept in all of gaming's history

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Could be an achievement

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's still data mining

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

There’s a user agreement before basically any game. Also, collecting data to see what’s heavily utilized in the game is crucial to keeping a

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

good, high quality gaming experience and not wasting time/money on shit no one cares about.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

As long as it's anonymized; but I'm not sure many people are completely aware of how much is collected

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Could also be used for the opposite. To find out what's rarely used e.g. because it's poorly implemented, and improve it.
