To dogs, humans are elves possessed of powerful magic. Service dogs learn some of this magic to serve the masters. This dog is a dark wizard

My dog has learned how to out the garbage can w/ lid back upright so now we don't know when he has been eating metric tons of garbage.

That's a good boy!

I would love to find a place that took in failed service dogs and found good homes for them. I feel like I want this specifically.

S-I-L worked @ Guide Dogs of Canada. Had 2 dogs. 1 was a breeder, 2 litters & retired. Other was ball obsessed & flunked. Both awesome.

This dog has enough power to destroy us all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's time to go to bed. *turns lights off*

When my brother was of elementary school age, my aunt & I would sit outside the school to pick him up. THere was a woman with a "failed" (1)

service dog. But it was because he had hip dysplasia since he was a pup.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What else do you like Mr. Walken?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

So basically a cat?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

What kind of cat can turn on lights and open doors?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have 2 that do this, but only to get me to feed them.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine, her name is Suki

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why do these stories on Tumblr always have the phrase "and it is literally" or "they are literally"?

Same reason we use "sauce" and "sorry for potato". Community dialects!

idioms

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just in case you thought it was figuratively turning lights on and opening stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

It's a groupthink thing only with speech, you see it a lot when people are echoing support for an idea.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

it's more the basic tenet of language evolution. Essentially subconscious memes going back as long as humans have been speaking for.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

You make it sound like some sinister hive mind. It's just parlance trends among social groups. You learn speech from those you listen to.

My dog figured out how to open doors/turn on lights himself. It's annoying and It always feels like my place is haunted.

8 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 0

Yep, my dog figured out how to open the patio door, thought the house was broken into the first time she did it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah exactly! I thought my cabinets were all loose till I caught him once

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our cats have a habit of once or twice a month, sneaking into the room they never go into and walking on the piano keys

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then it keeps happening after your dog passes

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Scary and sad wrapped into one

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dog knows if he slams the screen door hard enough, he can catch it and prop it open. Takes him a few tries and is terrifying at 3am.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hahaha sounds like a smart pup! And kinda an ass of one as well

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One day a ghost actually comes to haunt you, but you just think its your dog all the time. Ghost becomes disheartened and kills himself,

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Take this upvote. I am amused

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

becomes a super ghost. Idk where Im going with this.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Hahaha I don't know where you're going either but man I like it

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

What if it's after your dog died though? Is it a normal ghost or the dog ghost?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man I hope it's a dog ghost, I don't think I'd like the ghost human version as much

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, all dogs go to heaven.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

True.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read about a dog that deemed unsuitable as a police dog cause he just liked people too much.

8 years ago | Likes 449 Dislikes 4

We all did

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's actually a pretty common reason for dogs to "fail out". Source: my fiancé's a dog trainer.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've met that dog! :D

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

with the amount of times that story has been on FP i'd be more surprised if you hadn't seen that story

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I had not seen it. I've been here several months...i love reposts! Imgur, your family is growing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hadn't. Been here 3 years. Sometimes repeat posts are good. Especially with newbies joining regularly.

I read about a guy named Crombopulous Michael, an assassin. Great guy, but had to be run over because he just liked killin too much.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What if he had been sent to kill Tammy?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Bird Culture that would be considered a great move.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

we actually had a german shepard who was too friendly to be a police dog, so she became a guide dog to my mom :D (mom's blind)

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

That's so cute! It's kind of like dog went to college to become a police dog but instead changed its major to service dog later on.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*shepherd. the dog (she was called Särmä) was one of the sweetest and fluffiest dog I have ever met, but she was BIG: 45 kg (not fat)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact, that dog is now the official greeter dog of said police department :D

8 years ago | Likes 212 Dislikes 2

Close but actually he did even better than that. He's the "Vice-Regal Dog" of the Queensland Governor (who adopted him).

Those Australians seem like pretty cool guys.

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Until you read about their immigration policies. Then you remember in their veins flows the blood of criminals.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 5

Aussie me don't support it:(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Arent we all criminals? Some of us are just more minor and didnt get caught.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
