Before
After - I used the nitrogen mod to make the entire map a snow biome. Even though food will still grow, I had a personal requirement to require crops to be grown in a greenhouse and to renovate the POI into something my family could live in. I used several mods, but mostly a vanilla experience. HN and Guppy decor mods were used heavily here.
Gyrocopter runway. It's still not big enough. It is still very hard for me to land on reliably.
Motor Pool - Just get in and drive right off the edge. No problem!
I absolutely loved the snow biome play through. My only wish was that it would never rain in that biome.
All outside perimeter blocks were upgraded to reinforced concrete and then painted.
These staircases are mirrored on both sides.
Both entrances are protected by a single shotgun turret each. It is more than enough to handle screamers or wandering hordes. I did not use this base as the horde base. Horde base shown later.
I wish the hand was removed when taking screenshots!
I had to add another shot gun turret on the underside of the runway. To many screamers were getting caught up down there.
The snow biome has one of the greatest sets of shader presets. However, the super saturated bright one was super annoying. The rest were glorious!
My main work area. This shop was built on top of the existing structure. Then a stair case was put through the previous ceiling.
Next floor down. This was the old top floor of the prison that is now renovated. I completely ripped out almost everything and then repainted. Here is the TV room, bathroom, and auxiliary production. The concrete and steel needed for the entire build was quite a bit.
View from the opposite side. Computer room and guest bedroom. HN decorative mod is amazing.
Small guest room
Second floor looking down into the bottom floor and the doors to the master bedroom.
The bottom floor of the original prison POI renovated. Kitchen on the left, door to the greenhouse to the right.
Bottom floor. View from the kitchen. Here you can see the kids bedroom in the back and the stairs to the tunnel that leads to the horde night base.
Kids bedroom. Has a bathroom and closet. Not pictured.
Master bedroom. No walk in closet. My wife is very disappointed in me!
Master bathroom. I had a lot of problems trying to get all the things I wanted into this small space. Although, I did manage to earned some bit of redemption from my wife by including a tub!
The greenhouse! I could have planted far more in here, but I wanted to keep it aesthetic as possible.
Back inside on the bottom floor. Here is the staircase that leads to the tunnel to the horde night base.
Diagonal section that gave me no end of problems.
Here the tunnel as it straightens out.
Stairs up to the horde night base.
Up top. Here is where we fight the horde. It is a drop type base and has has handled everything up to 64 zombines at game stage 200 plus.
It has about 15 rows of electric fences at foot height. They are a pain to keep repaired during horde night though. They require their own power generator to run. There are also industrial lights all down the corridor that are run by another generator.
Left side wiring. I have to come down here to repair the electric fences during raid nights.
The right side wiring if anybody is curious. I would have done it a little differently if I had it to do over again.
Two shotgun turrets to guard us. They are rarely needed. AP bullets and penetrator perks are a must on horde night.
Outside view of the drop in for the zombies. Ive never had a problem with this build. The only real problems are having to repair the electric fences often during the raid night and armor penetrating bullets destroying the stair blocks down (even though the entire base is upgraded to steel.)
No clipping view if anybody was curious how the prison and the horde night base were connected.
That's it. Thank you for letting me share my Winter Wonderland build with you!

I have no idea what this is but i recognize that you put a lot of work into it and are rightfully proud of the outcome, Great Job!

Very kind of you. Thank you!

No problems with demos?

None. I used a second base for horde nights found at the bottom of the picture set. I did, however, usually have one or two police blow up
