This is like a bmx rider peddling up a redwood. Then pulling down a sapling with a bulldozer, and throwing shade on bicyclist.

Missed that corner spot and it bothers me

I don't see no dicks all over the place

Usually when you can’t find it, you are the one

Is this rent-able equipment? I don't even know what it's called; paint hose. I'd appreciate never painting with a brush ever again!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Michelangelo used more than one color

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Be glad he painted anything, being a turtle.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No way this paint looks good up close, he's spraying too close and not counting coats and there's no way the corners are ok.

5 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

Agreed. Needs to be a foot farther back from the wall, at least.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also not pulling or turning away as he ends his arm movements. Which means he's leaving piles and edges of paint. Hope he rolls it soon.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Came to say this. Amateur mistake.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea painting with a shield indoors isnt a stellar idea if you want it to look good. Too much overspray

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

There's no such thing as a perfectly straight wall. At some point paint will get past the guard.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I was thinking the same but hopefully 2nd coat with fix things up. Trim will be brushed by hand I assume.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How does he do that little corner peice between the door frame and the molding?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is what I want to know! Maybe by hand?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More streaks than a toga party at U of I

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Yup. And he's not pulling away as he starts or ends he arm movements. Which is where is is leaving heaps of paint. I hope he rolls it soon!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What a stupid fucking title.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

thank you. $400 please

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the horrible hue though?

Step 1. Be tall so you don't have to use a ladder

Why did I watch all of that?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's sound too. Why? Because imgur.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But I enjoyed it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Excellent (the color change to green) is OC.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you think he was into speedpainting, you may have misunderstood the message of Michelangelo

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

altho the medium of fresco needs to be done fairly quickly, to apply the charcoal cartoon and then the color to the plaster before it dries

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why did he get rid of the nice white though? :(

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also used more than one colour.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cool, but this colour... It's like wet cement.

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Yea. Shame they chose such a crappy color

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Came here to find this. It's a god awful color.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Do it in reverse

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a really shitty colour for a wall

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be fair, Michelangelo didn’t have any place to plug in his paint hose.

5 years ago | Likes 2088 Dislikes 1

He also had a fair amount of neck pain after all those ceilings in the Sistine chapel.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He also painted in more than one color

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he plugged his paint hose into teenage boys.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He would need a extension cord 600 years long!

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Or did he...?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i thought only Trump posts require the /s tag?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He had a 110v machine but needed a 230v.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just an unfortunate apprentice with his mouth full of paint, blowing in the other end of the hose.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like Michaelangelo’s a shitty planner then.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair... it would need some cheesy rides and rigged games where you can win giant stuffed animals

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also to be fair he painted a lot of small dicks and balls so it would be difficult to go fast.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If you look close up it's a mess

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And he did paint a bunch of dudes with their dicks out.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And he was a turtle.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

A mutant turtle, trained as a ninja. Somewhere in his teens.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also wasn’t painting one solid color

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

and he was paid by the hour.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To be even more fair, Michelangelo had to paint naked men and women and not only one sad color.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Argh! Please go back and paint it!

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Double negative

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

i don't want to sayd "you can't cover that"... because he can, but he can't "not cover". i'm ok

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Was waiting to see how he'd pain the lower left corner near the door. ?1

Michaelangelo didn't work with a single color on a small wall with an air tool.

5 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 19

This guy is actually using an airless sprayer. No compressor.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

No: He worked with many of them, and the tool was down on the floor criticizing his work.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Didn’t know brushes had their own thoughts... Oooo...

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And imagine what he could have done if he had?

Yes, watch his feet/legs

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Paint has gotten EXPENSIVE

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No shit. Easy $50 / gallon for good stuff

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ha. Depending on how you define “good stuff” you’re probably looking closer to $60-$100

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Should be cheaper by volume if you buy it in the larger buckets.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By between $1-$3 per gallon, so only about $5-$15 total savings.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s enough to get a couple burritos when the job is done. Which is nice.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m just trying to figure out how the poor guy can breathe with that mask on.

5 years ago | Likes 1732 Dislikes 21

Probably much longer

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

He can breathe because he isn't a lil bitch.

5 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 1

He can’t, that’s why he’s painting so fast.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably easier than trying to breathe after a day without it.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I've met painters with obvious respiratory problems. Hopefully these respirators can prevent that, if it's work related.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Many filters can even filter gasses, so paint droplets (which are much bigger) are easily filtered out. Paint fumes need filtering of course

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gills

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's not a mask. It's a respirator.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Poor thing

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Maybe he's not a weak American?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those types of mask you actually do need to train your breathing.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

???

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No seriously have three of them and work with heaver duty ones as well, the hell is this breathing training you're talking about???

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Been using them for various things my entire life never had "training"

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

More like train not yourself not to burp after having lunch. Nearly made myself barf after Chinese when I burped wearing one

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There’s no one else in there except him and the camera man and they are properly social distancing, so he does t really need the mask.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 23

It's not a coronavirus mask. It's a respirator that painter's and guys that work with sanding drywall use to not breathe in fumes and dust

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Ah yes, I too love inhaling fresh paint fumes

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

did you forget /s ?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Didn’t think I really needed it but apparently some people are just too dumb to get it.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

This stuff is production tract housing kinda shit. Looks good from afar, but far from good.

5 years ago | Likes 338 Dislikes 3

I guarantee this is a shitty paint job.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. He better be backrolling that before it dries. I painted a house like that once. It never looked right after that.

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

This good for painting the outside sidings of a house. I really need to rend one and do this at my house

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So many drips, uneven coating, overspray, probably didn't prep or clean the surface so the paint peels off and you have to redo it in 3 yrs

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Agreed.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There are gonna be so much bleeding and stray paint particles on every surface, especially with such a dark color.

5 years ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 0

It. Gets. EVERYWHERE.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

True painters use a roller after a proper sanding

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You mean back roll then sand then roll again

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The magic of 240p video lmao

5 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

Nice white outline around all the edges.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sprayed on paint is never as good as rolled or brushed. Way too thin.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Sometimes yep :) that only happens when the sprayer doesn't have a strong air compressor though. Or when using the wrong size of tip.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will admit my experience is purely through having a house built. I imagine builders prefer a thinner coat of paint.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Came to say this. From primer to dark with one shitty spray coat. Woof

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I was going to ask what the finished coat looks like. I've seen other stuff like this that looks uneven as hell and terrible.

5 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

i use one of these to paint elevator shafts and would never use it on an internal surface that i wanted to look at regularly

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Exactly. There is a huge quality difference between painting fast and painting efficiently.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably still costs a half million.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Location matters. You can buy a 4 bed 2 bath around here for 120K but we are an hours and a half drive from the closest big city.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can’t do that around Seattle

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure but where are you? I'm not looking to move to the south, where it is still 1960.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

A while ago I was looking at house prices in Phoenix, AZ and you could buy a decent house for that. That's a pretty big city.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just looked again, and the prices have apparently gone way up. You can still find a livable place for that money though.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I noticed that as long as you live an hour away from phoenix, the prices are cheap.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure my house is 30-40k less than that with the ssme amount of rooms & bathrooms.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I talked to a professional painter about this. The time you save painting is spend taping off EVERYTHING that's not gonna be painted.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Otherwise everything will have droplets on it.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yep. Pro painter here. Tape & masking takes forever. That's why I only spray new builds: unfinished floors & trim not yet installed ?

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

hope it's actually a thin layer of filler to be sanded, not that spraying is that common but happens. cus for paint hes doing a shit job

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And that's why we all hate new builds. They paint before they do flooring, which means the baseboards always go on before the tile. Sucks.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would the baseboards go on before the tile? Wouldn't be paint, floor, baseboards?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish. All the new builds in Arizona are wall, baseboards paint, flooring. It lets the painters not care about their over spray.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I never understood tape. The time it takes to put it on and take it off you could cut in both coats and be done in half the time.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It bothers me that he sprays over the outlets.

5 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 15

Ha! I'm in the middle of a renovation, and that was my first thought!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The outlets and switches haven't been installed yet.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

the outlet is the box he's sprayed over. switches and plugs are devices.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too - would have taped it for sure.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Indeed - takes just a few minutes and gives a much cleaner result.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have a tenant who painted her bedroom once. She rolled right over the whole switch plate. This is why I don't let tenants paint.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bothers me too. He clearly paints for a living, why not fab up a few parts to pop into different size boxes. Hate screws and wires covered..

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

...2. With paint. Same type of person paints walls and doors without removing switch plates and hardware...

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Or paint highway lines without removing roadkill

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Other than the switches though nice work

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

The outlet isnt installed yet...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The outlet isnt but the electrical box and wires will be though

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I spent 6 years wiring highrise condos. Paint on the wires wasn't a big deal. Drywallers filling the outlet with mud was much worse.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very true. I know paint on the wires wont hurt them. I just dont like it

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are not wired yet. A little paint on the unstripped wires or the inside of the box will do no harm.

5 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 3

Electrician or painter should've put masking tape over the hole.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It still bothers me.

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 9

I can relate

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Plastic boxes are only fire-resistant. Spraying inside them adds fuel, possibly enough for a fire to escape the box instead of be contained.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but dealing with painted screws is a pain in the ass

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

He’s not painting any screws. The outlet hasn’t been installed yet

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

He is filling the screw holes in the box with paint though.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the box is the outlet. he's not painting screws, but he's filling screw holes in the outlet.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The screws that hold the switches and plugs to the box are on the box.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Screws come with the device.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

No they are not, they are hanging in the switches and outlets still, with little tiny washers.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2
