Likely nitinol, a metal comprised of nickel and titanium when super heated 800+ degrees and quickly cooled sets it's shape, after this 1/?
Point the metal can be deformed very heavily but once place in warm to hot water or just warmth in general it restores to it's original 2/3
State. It's been a while since I looked it up so info might not be 100%, but still fairly accurate
