Are we still on the "it's too dangerous to vote in person" train, or nah

If congress can meet in person to vote on legislation we can meet in person to elect congress

That's not an argument against mail-in voting, but ok.

Stupid comparison - 435 members of Congress who's job it is to vote on legislation vs. ~ 300 Million Americans who have other jobs.

Is this in reference to the post? Because it works there too

Not exactly, We've been mailing ballots and censuses to people since at least the Civil War. Being stationed in GER, it's a part of my life.

Agreed. The problem is so can scammers, identity thieves, crooks and general asshats looking to fuck with the system.

CO been voting by mail for years w/ no evidence of widespread fraud.

My county has been over 90% vote by mail for years. We have more issues with the polling locations than the mailed ballots.

thats not a thing. it could never be orchestrated at a scale to affect results without being found out, theres no evidence its even happening

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Is there evidence of such a thing happening? Why is it ok for the president to vote by mail, but not for us?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Statistically that has been disproven, repeatedly, as having any significance on our elections.

Could I get some sauce for that? I was reading up on it over the weekend and never came across it being "disproven."

This is about voter ID, not mail in voting.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be clear it happens, but as @AngryHumanoid pointed out, it is statistically insignificant 1/?

Your sources seem to be about voter fraud at large, not specifically mail-in fraud, but thank you for the links.

They are. If you find some studies specifically on just mail fraud, please share. knowledge is power
