8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Had some buddies work for s local bike shop, they were always stoked when lefty's came in

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One day I will own a bike that hasn't had 9 owners before me. It will feel unnatural, but I still want it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just save up and wait till shops are getting rid of current-year models? I got my SuperX for 1500 that way.

Nice chair :)

Fancy.

Just had L4 L5 S1 removed and fused. I'm in week 1 and I'm only 27. This gives me hope. Thanks.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't give up. I had an L5 S1 fusion when I was 22.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm 31 had discectomy for L5 and L4 plus nerve decompression. Not as severe as yours but I'm looking at it as a fresh start.

I just bought myself a specialized dirt jumper. I rode BMX for 20 years and recently got back into riding those dirt jumpers feel like bmx.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice! Grats on getting in the saddle.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah! I just got a cannondale synapse road bike this summer

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's awesome. Very under-rated fork too!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Crack-and-fail! Have fun, be safe!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Goddamn that looks sweet. I bought a Rush back in 2008 and have to say that Lefty is the bomb.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

godDAMN thats a sexy cannondale

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sick bike, where do you ride?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Live in U.K. So I'm going to Gisburn Forest Park on Friday.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does that bike only have 1 strut in the front??? That's wild. Sweet bike man.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, has only one leg/stanchion.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there only one fork on that?! I'm amazed

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The fork is actually called Lefty

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It looks like a one legged dog... I want it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it's not really as strong as a regular fork, I guess it's lighter though.

Had spinal surgery 1 week ago and am only on two 10 min walks per day. Any secrets?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Depends what you have done. I had an open discectomy and decompression on my lower discs.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've just been as active as the pain allows. No forward bending from the hips and no twisting.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a microdiscectomy and lamenectomy (spelling?). Are they letting you lift yet? That's my big thing bc I have a 2 year old.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not lifting anything more than 6kg for 8 weeks. Luckily mine is only 4 months old so I don't have to chase her!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn my sister is selling her cannondale for $500. I know those things are expensive. She bought it to mesh with a boyfriend. Didn't work

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Pic of your sister?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Can I have it? Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Umm...that bike in the pic is like upwards of 5 grand I believe.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What model? That trigger goes for $5k easy

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's not that one. She said she paid around $1,200 for it. Guess she needs $500. I know she hardly used it

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shit if the frame size is right I'd just buy it off her if I were you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So she's single?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Whites trash with two kids who lives off food stamps and govt assistance. You don't wanna go there

Very nice. I ride a Cannondale commuter. They are the best.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

me too, got an all black tesoro without shock absorbents, fat tires on it tho, I ride it through woods, offroad, allgood.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice. I have a quick. Road only. I want a mb so bad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try their cyclocross bikes if you want something more well-rounded. I love my SuperX.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, some of the models have 5 figure prices. it's like choosing between a bike... or a yacht.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's the point of a lefty? Serious question. Like what purpose does the half fork serve?

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

It's also apparently the overall weighting. The left fork balances the gears on the back, which are on the right. Also it looks awesome

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks cool.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cannondale is famous for trying to be different which often has bad consequences. Their previous fork was a unicrown monoshock lol

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stiffer than a fork with round stanchions because the lefty has hexagonal stanchion, not much flexing going on.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

In a race, it's easier to address a front flat

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

I'm not sure I believe that. Quick release levers are pretty darn quick.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You don't have to take the wheel off to deal with it and faff with keeping things from ending up in the mud

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still thinks it's mostly gimmick. No other company bothers with lefties and probably for a reason. Never seen it used in comp either.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably patents, the cannondale team does use it in races.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for awesome research video. Just a little sad username is made a lie by very direct and pointed video lol

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wtf is a lefty

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

fork with only a left piston

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Just noticed the front tire doesn't have a bar on the right side. Don't know what a fork is tho.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I would assume it saves weight but it gives me a terrible uncomfort.

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

It surprisingly doesn't. The reinforcing needed to support that one sided axle makes it heavier than traditional racing forks.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

good to know it's a gimmick. still terrible uncomfort tho.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not to mention it's hell on the wheel bearings.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess. I've never seen a lefty used in any form of competitive riding tho. Must be a reason for that.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mechanics hate the Lefty. It's a pain in the ass to swap wheels on that bike.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty popular for the cannondale race team https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpBpXimvLIg

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well, that is an advert for Cannondale so I wouldn't expect them to say anything negative about it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you tried one? I'm shopping for a new bike and seriously considering a cannondale.
