I'm 31 had discectomy for L5 and L4 plus nerve decompression. Not as severe as yours but I'm looking at it as a fresh start.

It's also apparently the overall weighting. The left fork balances the gears on the back, which are on the right. Also it looks awesome

Cannondale is famous for trying to be different which often has bad consequences. Their previous fork was a unicrown monoshock lol

Stiffer than a fork with round stanchions because the lefty has hexagonal stanchion, not much flexing going on.

It surprisingly doesn't. The reinforcing needed to support that one sided axle makes it heavier than traditional racing forks.
