I live in Pittsburgh PA, it's the largest city in Appalachia. (Imagine if they built a city in a holler) it's surrounded by rivers and forest.
Living in Pittsburgh means you get all the convenience of a city, but a fee minutes drive and you get the quiet beauty of the country.

I live about 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, beautiful city. I'm 46 and only have been their a handful of times. Driving in Pittsburgh is hell.

Pittsburgh has a lot of beautiful old houses for sale. Alot with original features. Some have a bonus toilet in the basement
