And mask use when sick

As an introvert... I've found work that involves almost no human interaction and I haven't seen my friends in about a year. I hate this.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Im an introvert. My girlfriend works from home now. This has been a challenging year.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As an extrovert, i’m fucking dying.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

now you know how us introverts have felt for the past 100 years

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Here here! Hear hear? Whatever. I agree.

As an introvert I sure hope the fuck it does. I miss being physically together with my friends.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Me neither people smell much less and I don't worry about how I smell.

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

That's not introversion, that's lack of hygiene

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Who wants, to wfh, forevaaarrrr

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ppl will understand if you're upfront. Just smile, be polite, and say "There isn't a school or animal shelter within 300 feet, is there?"

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Boom, they'll distance. And if they don't, run, that's a serial killer.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As an introvert, stop giving us a bad name. They already think we're socially awkward idiots and socialization is healthy for everyone.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I’m Scandinavian, I just want this 2 meter rule to end so we can go back to or standard 10 meters..

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I’m with you... I really don’t want to go back to kissing on the cheek/hugging to say hello and goodbye

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Lol

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Social distancing made me realize I might not be as introverted as i thought.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No, you're probably still an introvert. Just an actual introvert instead of one of all these people who ascribe their social phobias and 1/

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

other separate issues to "introversion". 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My whole situation got a whole lot better cause of Covid. I know people are suffering and I do empathize..but for now...weeeeee!

I'm so much happier now that I don't have to go to the office every day, and I feel like I'm considerably more productive as well!

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

I wish I could say I’m more productive at home, but that is just not the case. Too much stuff at home to focus on

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You probably are. Most studies show an increase of about 15%.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

No I've basically been out of work since the first wave, just needs to fucking end. I'm going crazy. I think I saw four people last year.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh I just realized this was about "social distancing" - yeah, that shit can stay. 6 feet please.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm an introvert who likes hugs. Is not liking physical contact a common introvert thing?

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Nope. There is barely no complete introvert or extrovert, people may lean more towards one side versus the other, but it's all a spectrum.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. People call all kinds of shit introversion these days but strictly speaking an aversion to touch has nothing to do with it.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I love hugs being an introvert means you like being by yourself or family just staying in and being content. Chilling at home. No friends ?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Sure, but you said you liked all the social distancing, which I thought meant hugging, kissing, shaking hands etc.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am dreading Goin back... I'm working from home and thriving. This is their temporary hell but my temporary normal.

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll be honest much of how how I live day to day didn't change too much. I do miss going out to restaurants even if it was just by myself.

5 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Same. I would like to go to the movies again. Not sure I want to be near people though

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Can we please never go back to random people I'm not friends with just hugging me?

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

I don't like strangers touching me, can we get rid of handshakes forever too?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That doesn't happen here. I'm even a bit weirded out that it happens somewhere.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, I lean more towards being introverted. But it’s getting to me. The days are blurring together.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Sometimes it does suck, but I'd rather be home and safe then get sick. I'm sorry it's getting to you, air hugs ?

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Thanks, much appreciated :) v

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same. I like alone time & I need to be alone in my own head but being an introvert doesn't mean I'm fine with never socializing with friends

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Exactly that. I'm an introvert too and while I enjoy the quiet time, I miss seeing people's faces. I miss seeing people smile. Makes me sad.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You’re in luck! It gonna be a while.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Also, same.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I, too, am enjoying working from home. having comfypants(tm) as a work outfit is nice too.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Some parts of society should change. Even after the pandemic subsides.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

on one hand, I hope things "go back to normal" (wtf that means) soon so people can work again but on the other hand, I'm in no hurry >

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same, no hurries it's nice staying home but to me it wears me out sometimes ??

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

> to do all the stupid work stuff that you need to do to work (commutes, traffic, pants, you know the usual)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a lazy, introvert with social anxiety, super same. I miss a few people only.. but being home all the time by myself is great!

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree 100% I used to be social but I hate it now have for sometime now. Adulting sucks the life out of you lol

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yep! All I need is my bed and my animals.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My couch and tv/xbox lol

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too. I'm enjoying freedom from plans and obligations every weekend

5 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 5

I'm suffering from the same old things as before: either too much to do, so I miss my friends; or not enough to do, so I miss my friends. :(

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Right!? There’s so much more time now

5 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

I was going to read all those books, but then I immediately broke my only pair of glasses. :/

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh that episode sucked!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i hope we can keep the nice spacing at the grocery store check outs and other lines

5 years ago | Likes 476 Dislikes 6

Yes! One of the best byproducts of covid. Keep it up!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Won't happen. Stores want to make as much profit as possible. More product=more profit = less space.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those have been gone for months now here (no they shouldn't be). The only difference between now and normal, is the required shopping cart.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ppl can't even keep it now (during a "Tier 5" lockdown here in London UK)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a guy practically breathing down my neck yesterday in the queue. I asked him to step away and he told me to fuck off. The irony...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Happened to me a few months ago. Dude was so close I said to him "man, back off. You're so close, I can smell your breath." Guy flipped out.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haven't had my fucking ankle assaulted by some careless cart pusher in over a year. Not a complaint.

5 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

2/2 .. Al Bundy figured this out years ago for us

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

you need to assert dominance and shove back harder ... adding a sharpened blade to the front helps as well

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Who runs barter town?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Idk, there are assholes like my ex that cut in to any space they see

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

They'd get a punch in the nose where i'm from.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope that happens

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's why they're your ex

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

There are a lot of reasons why she's my ex, red flags look fine with rose tinted glasses

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What nice shops have you been going to? I’m surrounded by English people and for the most part they don’t recognise social distancing.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup. Actively swerving out of the way of people diving into the shelves to get their rice krispies before I do has become a sport.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aldi doesn't help the fact by putting their giant arse pallet and boxes in the middle of the asile at what always seems like rush hour

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aldi was actually the best one at the start in March limiting numbers of people in the shops but since then it’s been awful.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also - I fucking love masks! I have some serious dental problems, but now I can talk and laugh and smile in public without being embarassed!

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

As someone who has a hard time reading people's faces I can't stand them. I'm honestly terrified that they might become the norm.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and it also hides pimples!

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As someone who has a hard time reading faces, I hate them. I'm honestly terrified about what I'll do if they become permanently commonplace.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think masks will eventually go away in the next 6 months or so as the vaccinations roll out. But I might just keep wearing mine.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously think of people in my position at least.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ditto

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've trained my whole life for this

5 years ago | Likes 790 Dislikes 5

There has to be a webcomic with people freaking out not being able to go to bars, etc... and an introvert loving the time spent inside

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

Same . 6 feet is great esp since I’m not dead yet .

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I've lived this way most of my adulthood.. This isolation has just forced everyone to live like me..

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everyone at worked laughed when i would refuse a hug, WHOS LAUGHING NOW! Still not me cause these are sad times.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Who the heck tried to hug you at work? I hug my family and closest friends.. that's it.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Some people have looser boundaries at work. Im with you though bro

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

also as an introvert i think this social distancing needs to end. i think getting used to this might me more dangerous in the long run pt 1

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

for my mental ability to adjust back to be being social again. It was tough before the pandemic, i can't imagine how much more diff pt. 2

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

difficult it will be when im thrown back into normal society. My mannerisms are currently set for no audience, with an audience pt 3

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

with an audience, i'll admit im afraid once again. when i thought i was just getting the hang of it. i don't want to start over again.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also introverted. my first interaction outside of quarantine was so awkward and horrid, I hated it so much. Made a new years resolution 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm never not wearing mask in public again. And maybe always asking people to stay away from me.

5 years ago | Likes 151 Dislikes 4

I'm right there with you, BRUTHURRR!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Im so happy not to have a cold for the first winter in my life i can remember.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i have not had boogers from being outside or sneezed in months! i'm happy about the mask thing for people with allergies.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Seriously, It's amazing. Allergies aren't nearly as bad. And no major cold and or flu in the last year. I work with the public, masks work,

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is the best I’ve felt health wise in years!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's a nice fashion accessory as well. Especially for folks like me with a not so pretty face, haha. I made myself sad

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Don’t be sad! I use my mask to express myself. My favorites are my sugar skull mask and the one with big red lips (semi-sexy).

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I can’t believe people would walk around sick, sneezing, and coughing without a mask before. Disgusting.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Cant believe?? Some of them have public meltdowns despite being the only one in a square mile of humans not doing it

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh And Have you seen rudy giuliani speak? I can believe it. Humanity is not that bright

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how many times have you walked by or stood close to someone who had the flu then feel that icky feeling in the back of your throat.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Too many

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same, even when this is all over I am still wearing a mask. I ask people politely to move away from me but it doesn't work. ?

5 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

Have you tried to move away from people instead or doesn’t that option work?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you tried coughing violently?

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Like a charm

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Works every time.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Lol no maybe I should try that ?

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

I am finding new ways to amuse myself. I thought of this when I was told I didn’t need to wear a mask while pumping gas, he got too close.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0
