There was a stray cat in my grandfathers backyard, and he was feeding her regularly. One day she showed up with kittens!

Lunch time!

One day we found one of the small ones between two cars nearby, and she was not in good shape. She could barely walk and one leg appeared to be broken

Despite her condition, she was still playful and curious!

It turned out that her leg was dislocated and it needed surgery. She spent almost two weeks in a veterinary hospital!

Right after she was back at home, still recovering.

Always cuddling and begging to be pet!

Appetite did not go away while recovering, that is always a good sign.

Doing better and waiting for cuddles and games!

Fully recovered cat tax!

This is what I come to Imgur for! Thanks OP!

Live with 3, wife, daughter, and grand daughter. Not a big cat fan, but this was nice. Give a neck rub from a , NABCF. :)

It would be great if you could catch them to be spayed/neutered so you don't end up with more homeless kitties!

We've had two cats show up and we kept and fed them outdoors. Both got hit and ended up indoors to heal broken legs. Seems suspicious.

I can empathize. My kitten broke her leg when she pulled a tower speaker on her dumbass self.

Missed the perfect opportunity to make a tail pun

I am so thankful for what you did but I laughed way too hard at her naked leg

You're good people, my doggo just spent 3 nights in the vets care and I'm into that for 1500 bucks. I can only imagine the bill for 2 weeks

She got into her bro's pain meds. She is agile, jumped on top of the counter and got them. Had to flush kidneys and liver. Pump stomach.

I second that!

Did she get to see her family again?

9 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 0

Might not be a great idea - lots of easy transmissible diseases the outside cats will be exposed to.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not yet but she will! Needs a bit more of recovery and get her fur back

Wonderful, an update on how the reunion goes would be great.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

PLEASE update when she gets back to her family. Can't wait to see how they react.

Are you going to keep that fluff?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When you reintroduce her, first get one of the other cats, rub a towel on them to get their scent on it, then rub that towel on her

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

her scent will be different otherwise and the cats may react poorly.

God bless you for saving and helping the kittens!!

Where are the others ?

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

They are fed daily and they have a place to sleep in the shed, but they avoid human contact

How come?

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

A cat has a certain amount of time from when they are born til a little bit past that tiny kitten stage that if there's not enough human 1/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Contact they tend to be feral. 2/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dunno, they are stray cats. Some of the kittens were more or less friendly but most of them just hang out a bit, eat and keep going

just kinda the nature of strays tbh. after 4 years, mine still isn't a big snuggle bug. she gets more so with time, and it's possible the --

--kittens will come around too, as they realize that they're able to be in the house and comfortable, but you never know
