At around 5pm today a tornado touched down extremely close to my hometown of Three Hills, Alberta. Luckily it only went through farmland, and no one was hurt (except for a shed and a tractor).

Beautiful timelapse footage of the tornado passing by.

The twister didn't seem to phase this fearless dad.

I was there too! Pretty crazy stuff.

Lucky is right - Oklahomans will watch these things form in the distance for fun, but that close and even they'll go into panic mode.

So what was that about climate change? Oh yeah.. America first. Greetings from the other side of the planet

Just because the current serving president is a moron, it does not mean that America, as a whole, agrees with his decisions. He's an idiot.

I don't stop mowing my lawn for anything less than a Cat 5.

With all the people ignoring it and going about their day, I thought it was my home state of Kansas!

Even tornadoes in Canada are nice

Witnessed the aftermath of a Canadian tornado which neatly avoided someone's house to trash their fence and leave.

More like "It happens so infrequently that people don't respond to the danger appropriately"

Nature at its finest, beautiful and terrifying.

As an Oklahoman WOW--it's not 'tornado' that hurts you --it is the 2 x 4 traveling at 500 fps that will kill you

500 freedoms per second is almost as fast as they drive in NASCAR

It was either mow the lawn next to a tornado, or go inside and help his wife clean the house. Easy choice!

It's Alberta, what were you expecting?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cheap alcohol cheap chew and girls with a moral compass that is wrecked

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny enough, Carlyle, SK is the only place I've seen people seriously wear cowboy hats.

A Canadian tornado. If it knocked down their house or did damage it would at least say, "Sorry."

As someone from AB, I feel like we just don't know what to do. So we do nothing. Get out the bbq! Watch the cool clouds.

Their collective lack of fucks inspires me

8 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Someone probably tried to divide by the amount of fucks they gave and accidentally summoned the tornado

This math checks out, I just wrote it down on a piece of paper and this happened in my backyard v

The lawn mowing photo, and probably the 1st photo too, are doctored from still images of the time lapse. The last photo has the exact same..

Tornado image as the thumbnail of the time lapse.

I lived in Alberta for a few years. Never met anyone that was actually from Alberta.

They all moved here to SK, to buy houses and resell them for 10x the value.

Wow ! It's like you read my bio. Moved from Strathmore to Hodgeville Sk.
