How can people do this to another loving, breathing, living creature? It makes me sick.

The ticks. The fucking ticks. I have never seen that many in my life. So many he needed a transfusion?! I may literally have nightmares.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That made me well up....did not expect that. BASTARDS! !!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

omg what the fuck i can only read happy endings. :( :( :(

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Took the dog, but left the homeless man.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

The people who tried to help this dog are saints. The dog's owner? Words fail me to describe how much I hate that person.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It may have never had an owner. Or it could have run away. No matter how hard people try, accidents happen.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fucking asshole people. No dog would ever do anything to deserve this kind of treatment. Seriously! Fuck people...

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

No one specific did this to the dog, probably. It's not like someone covered it in ticks. We don't know how it ended up out there.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know it says "abandoned on a bridge" but this condition takes a LONG time to get in. Could have just ended up out there.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just trying to choose to be more optimistic- there are lots of strays, most not actually abandoned.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This made me cry, but at least he died with people around him and not alone.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

apparently some can't see the link in the description so here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX0lzrIn5v8

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

FUCKIN PLEEEEASE TELL ME THOSE WERENT TICKS FULL OF BLOOD HANGING OFF OF HIM!?!?!?!?

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Somebody tried to tell me that wasps were worse. No they aren't. You get stung, you swear, you burn the nest. Ticks...seriously, fuck ticks.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I follow their page, there were thousands of ticks on this dog.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Those are definitely ticks.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Jesus H tapdancing Christ

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's why he was anemic.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Also- humans arent ALWAYS the cause of such sadness. Sometimes pets run away, get stolen... can't always say the owner was a bad person.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

People make me sick.....

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He looked so sweet too. He would have been such a great dog. Rip Dennis.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't even call them humans... Only monsters can let a fur baby like that get that sick

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't mind me...just weeping at my desk

DOGS DIE. FUCKING HANDLE IT. JESUS CHRIST I HATE YOU WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING

I hope that when the world ends you're the last human being left alive and you have severe cramps and all the cramp pills are gone

Don't give me hope that it'll be ok and then pull the rug it from under me like this!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who the fuck makes a rug out of onions...and allergies...fuck

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looked over at my dog and was about to hug him. Then he made a fart that smelled like rotten Chinese food. I'll hug him later.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I desperately needed this laugh, I am grateful to your dog's treacherous GI tract.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This made me laugh for a solid 5 minutes

YOU COULD HAVE SAVED DENNIS, YOU MONSTER

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I know I feel like shit...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Poor baby. So glad he knew love in his final days.

10 years ago | Likes 389 Dislikes 0

He understood that it was finally okay to let go. Dogs often seek out a safe place at the end of their lives in order to die in safety and1/

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

comfort, and it's a beautiful thing that he understood he'd been given that. And aren't we humans the same, that we spend our lives 2/

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

trying to create our eventual comfortable place to die.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I'm not spending my life creating a comfy spot to die. It's for when I'm alive.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

i hate humans so much sometimes

10 years ago | Likes 116 Dislikes 12

I hate humans all the time. Except my humans, them I love.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sucks knowing were the worst thing to happen to just about everything.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

because they saved this dog? That's a pretty shitty reason to hate them.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Humanity tried. Just got there too late...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This could have been born a stray and lived all of its life as a stray.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We don't know what happened. It could have run away or even been born on the streets. Bad things happen. Don't hate more, just love more.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know it says "abandoned on a bridge" but the condition takes a long time- could have been not directly a human's fault, I'm hoping.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

we don't deserve dog's, they are too good for us, at least for the most but than there are amazing people like the ones from "hope for paws"

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 8

yea... as someone who was bit by a chow while walking to a friend's house when i was 7, no. No they're not too good for us. They're dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

And they are complex creatures, just like humans. Some have problems, but that doesn't mean they are malicious.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So one fuckwit abandons a dog, a team of loving people try to save it for no reward, and the balance is still that humans are shit?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

yup because there are way more dogs being abused and killed then dogs being rescued and saved.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Yes, not every abused dog is saved. What about the other billion humans who love and care for dogs? Does it only matter when it's negative?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Most dogs in north america are from breeders and puppy mills. Humans breed more animals when theres dogs dying in the streets.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have fun with your negativity then, broskis.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Since when is it our responsibility to make sure no animals die? There are literally million dying all the time.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 14

Thanks to Asians eating them

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Since we bred dogs specifically to love and trust us unconditionally and implicitly only to have it returned with cruelty and neglect.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So, humans try to help a dog killed by ticks, and "Hate Humans" is the answer? How about "hate ticks?"

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Impressive attempt at deflecting the blame, I'll give you that. But no, the ticks were incidental. The dog was not abandoned by a tick.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

The dog may not have been abandoned by anyone. Strays are born from other strays/runaways all the time.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

The best thing we can do is to spay and neuter pets, because people can't take care of all the puppies and kittens and they only end up 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On the street or in a kill shelter. Very few get adopted. We won't have to see so many strays if we spayed and neutered more. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Totally agree. This dog wasn't abused. It was homeless. We do the best we can, but we can't keep all self-injurious animals alive.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's one thing to do your best but not expect to save every animal, but check his comments - he doesn't think we should have even tried.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I commend their efforts, but as callus as it sounds, I do see where he's coming from. It'd be wonderful to save all the dogs, but we can't

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Even save all the humans at this point. We die by the thousands every day from totally avoidable circumstances. Our resources are

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't understand why this is being downvoted. It would be literally impossible for us to ensure the wellbeing of all animals (1)

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

We can't even do it for all humans. It's a sad reality, I'd like if we could, I think people may just have disagreed with your wording :/

The link didn't work for me, but if that's true, that is really too sad

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It *was.* We should put down dying animals to spare them the misery of an only partly possible treatment.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So how does that change things?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More than that, the ONLY creatures I see trying to help the dog are humans. Where are the other "better" creatures and their help?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

So the dog was left to it's own devices, and died. How does that reflect on humans? Did someone throw ticks on it? How is it our fault?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

No the problem does not lie in the ticks infesting the poor dog. The problem lies in not how the ticks made it on the dogs , (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is in the human who left it to its own devices. After hundreds of years of domestications.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

at least he died clean, groomed and warm. not under some fucking bridge covered in ticks. +1 for people who give a shit.

10 years ago | Likes 1792 Dislikes 3

He knew he was a good boy in the end. Pibbles aren't my favourite but I would have showered that floof in love. Humans disgust me sometimes

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Truth. Wish more people cared

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the bright side. I needed that +1.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well said my friend.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. I always stop when I see an animal on the side of the road. I wanted to strangle my SO when he wouldn't let me stop before.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i'M NOT CRYING, i'M NOT CRYING.....

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The post was touching. Your comment brought the feels...

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

While i love how touching this comment is.. I originally read it as "clean, groomed, and fabulous" at first and couldn't help but laugh Dx

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. It may be that he felt so comforted he knew he didn't have to fight anymore. He could just let go in peace. So sad.

10 years ago | Likes 264 Dislikes 0

I was fine (ish) until you said that. Why'd you have to say that ;-;

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

May have also been an older dog. They have less of a chance of surviving that than younger dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Awww, this sounds sitting much better. I wish it were a happy story, but sometimes you gotta know when to let go.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

This is what I choose to believe because it's probably the truth. Poor sweet old dog went out surrounded by warmth and comfort and love.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is where i give my only fuck...

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Those look more like bot flies than ticks. BTW would not recommend googling "Bot Fly"

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 4

It doesnt matter what they are, hes right.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why! Why did I do it

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No, those are ticks that have been able to leech for an extended period.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Coupled with certain malnutrition, that explains his anemia.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I did anyways, and that was straight up horrifying. Though the mango worms from the other day were worse IMO.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You're doing my work son. I googled both of those and... I'm scarred.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm still haunted by those mango worms

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was an idiot and looked up the youtube... it got worse.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I HAD to go to YouTube to watch enough videos to desensitize me.
