Sounds like you either worked in a corporate store or had an uptight GM. None of the 4 Papa John's' I worked at ever cared, but it was not something that happened regularly except at 1 store by one dude. They have dough presses now, though, at least where I am. Glad i got out before that garbage. Hand prepping is what made the time go by.
