I'm a long time Lurker finally coming out of the dark for a great cause i am helping to coordinate. I have always seen how great this community is and have helped from the shadows a few times before. I'm hoping the love is still here.

This is a plea for the sweetest little pony. Her story begins with a close group of equestrians I ride with. Jellybean was acquired by one of the girls as a babysitter for her other horse when she out riding. Jellybean has touched the hearts of us all. The previous owner met this little girl from my barn and she unselfishly gave Jellybean to the little girl . It was love at first sight on both parts. Jellybean adores children and especially this little girl. Unfortunately Jellybean was kicked by one of the larger horses and her jaw was broken. Jellybean reuires a reconstructive surgery to set her jaw properly. Jellybean cannot eat or drink on her own at the moment. Unfortunately the mother is raising two children alone and cannot afford the care and definitely not the required surgery. It brings a tear to my eye think of losing the pony. We are trying to keep Jellybean from being put down. The child would be crushed. We are starting to run out of time, the surgery need to be performed as soon as possible, we are trying to raise the money within one week to relieve Jellybean of her pain. So please let us give jellybean another chance. A dollar would go a long way. I am appealing to the great communities and kind heartedness of the internet to give Jellybean another chance. Anything you can donate will help tremendously. If the internet's generosity goes beyond our goal then all donations over the cap will be spent to help another animal in need.
TLDR: A wonderful pony has been kicked and needs your generosity to get a mandatory surgery and fast to stay alive.

A single mother of two can afford to care for two horses - because Jellybean is a "babysitter" horse - but not this procedure?

Shouldn't the owner of the horse that attacked her be paying for it?
