Went from Worried Sick to Dissapointment Real Quick
Here is the story: My ex's friend messaged me at 10pm asking if I had seen my ex and that she had been missing since 5:30 this afternoon. After a missing person's report was filed and multiple attempts to contact them, she turned up back home at 11:45 pm. Turns out she had gone to a guy's house without telling anyone (she had told her mum that she was going to her friend's house). I don't care if this gets buried, i just wanted to get it off my chest.

So she was gone for a whole six hours? You folks need to chill the fuck out.

It doesn't seem like long but it can feel like an eternity when someone has had suicidal tendencies in the past

If I've learned anything from TV, it's that a person has to be missing for 24 hours before a report can be filed.

I don't know who filed it, or how it got filed

Pro tip: tv is not real life

For reference, there is no time limit, but you need "reasonable expectation" they are missing.
